The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 302

That's why he's been coming home late these days. He's been preparing this surprise for me. Nathalia felt grateful and loved as she thought silently.
"Would you like to open it?" Spencer suggested with a smile while staring at her.
"Huh?" Nathalia was a bit startled, then she opened the box and was shocked. It was filled with beautiful sparkling crystal jewels, fire opal rings, jade necklaces, benitoite earrings, musgravite bracelets, red beryl brooches, diamond crowns, all neatly placed.
Nathalia was too astonished to speak. "Spencer...it...it's." There were so many precious gems. They could even have an exhibition of them.
Spencer hugged Nathalia from behind with one arm, and picked up a diamond crown with the other hand, then very gently, he placed it on Nathalia's head. "It's a wedding present for my beautiful wife. You are the most precious to me." He said with a content smile, pleased with his choices. Nathalia looked stunning.
They did get married rather hurriedly, but Spencer wanted to make sure that Nathalia wouldn't miss anything. If he could, he would give her the whole world.
"But it's a lot." Nathalia was still shocked. There must be about a hundred different jewels. It's too, dear. Nathalia thought. And in fact, the crown that Nathalia was wearing was once worn by the princess of Denmark.
"Don't you like the present?" Spencer smiled. The sun shone through the French window and fell at his back, making him more charming than usual.
Nathalia nodded. "I do." She picked up a few items and watched them sparkle in the sunlight. She had to admit that Spencer had selected a wonderful collection. "I do like them a lot, but it's perhaps a bit too extravagant? It must have cost a lot, too much."

Spencer smiled and planted a kiss on her cheek. "Never too much for my wife. As long as you like it, it's worth it."
Nathalia smiled happily and hugged Spencer. "Aww, that's so sweet. Thank you, honey." Spencer took her hand and led her to the dressing room. Again, Nathalia was astounded. The dressing room was literary a huge wardrobe, and it was filled with various new outfits of different brands and all kinds of shoes and beautiful bags to match them.
Nathalia picked a slim white dress and looked at the mirror with a big smile. "Do you want me to wear different clothes every day for the rest of my life? Aww, did you do all the shopping?!"
Spencer leaned at the door, watching Nathalia quietly with a happy smile on his face. He was so pleased to see Nathalia's excitement.
"Indeed, as every day is a new and beautiful day for my beautiful wife," he said sweetly.
"You're spoiling me!" Nathalia exclaimed.
"That's what I'm doing, and you deserve to be spoiled." Spencer grinned, and he went and picked her up, sat her down on the dressing table, and asked cheekily, "Are you pleased?"
"I am." Nathalia blushed slightly and smiled.
"I'm going to please you even more," Spencer whispered into her ear and gave it a kiss. Nathalia felt her body melting softly.
He picked her up, her legs wrapping around his waist, and carried her to the king-size bed. Very gently, he placed her down on the bed and lay on her. Nathalia loved feeling the weight of his body on her.
With one hand swiftly yet gently slipping under her clothes, stroking her soft and smooth skin, the other hand cupping and stroking up and down her cheek and hair, he kissed her passionately, madly. His lips and tongue swam in the ocean of her body, from her mouth to her ears, her neck, and down her breasts as he lifted her top and took it off easily. She moaned, drowning in pleasure. The touch of each other's naked skin set their desire on fire.

The sun slowly set and spread its last light of the day on the floor. In the dim light, Spencer lay on top of Nathalia again, kissing her, stroking her. "Oh, honey, I'm tired. Let me sleep for a bit more." Nathalia moaned in pleasure but defended weakly.
She must have come several times. So did Spencer, yet he seemed to be feeling energized still, and he wanted more, while she felt contently exhausted.
"Just one more. Just one more." He whispered into her ears. He had missed her too much in the past days.
"You said that last time!" Nathalia shook her head, her voice was soft and gentle. Before she realized it, he entered her, and again she moaned. "Oh, you are so cheeky. Horny, Spencer!"
Back at home, Mrs. Davidson had been waiting impatiently. It was around eleven when she heard the door open. She exclaimed, "Where have you been? You are not a child anymore. I've tried to call you, and you never picked up. And..." she stopped all of a sudden at the sight of Spencer and Nathalia coming in, holding hands.
"Oh. You two are...Oh! Nathalia, you are not mad at Spencer anymore? That's great! Everything's good now." she smiled. She could even tell they had just been in bed.
Spencer grinned, "When were you mad at me, Nathalia?"
Nathalia shrugged her shoulders and replied cheekily, "Was I? I can't remember."
Mrs. Davidson rolled her eyes. "You two are as cheeky as each other." Seeing them back in love and peace, Mrs. Davidson heaved a sigh of relief. They were not talking to each other just this morning and now look at them. They are stuck like glue. May they remain like this forever.
The incident and challenge had indeed brought them closer and stronger.
They moved to their new home, together with their mother and the whole team of bodyguards and housemaids. It was more spacious and private. The bodyguards and housemaids were accommodated in the smaller houses behind the villa.
Spencer and Nathalia had the third floor to themselves while Mrs. Davidson occupied the second floor. She chose the room with the view of the garden and was very pleased.

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!
