The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 300

The staff in the company never really liked Ben nor accepted him. They saw him as someone ignorant and arrogant, way too bossy and demanding. He was lucky to be the CEO. He is just a representative! And he sees himself as the real boss here.
Luckily, the company had been running well, so they let him be.
Ben was still worried, and he didn't believe Spencer. "You! You were trying to kidnap me!" He retorted.
Spencer looked at him, disappointedly and shook his head. "Kidnap you in the company when everyone is watching? Are you really that stupid? It's a miracle that the company is still running under your management. Anyway, if you don't want to join us, we shall leave you alone then. Nathalia, shall we go get lunch?"
Spencer had no mercy on Ben. He insulted him openly. How dare you threaten my wife?!
Ben blushed awkwardly, utterly embarrassed.
Nathalia felt proud of Spencer and nodded with a smile, "We shall. We'd better leave him anyway. I don't want him to spoil my appetite."
Spencer laughed and took Nathalia's hand happily. "True."The bodyguards let go of Ben, threw him a disdainful look, and followed Spencer and Nathalia.
Seated in the car, Spencer looked at Nathalia's hand in his and smiled. "What do you feel like for lunch?"
Nathalia didn't take her hand off his. She pouted her lips and said, "Surprise me." She wasn't smiling and was obviously still sulking.
Spencer didn't mind, thinking At least she let me hold her hand.
With a cheeky smile on his face, he said gently, "A surprise it will be then."
"You sound like you've already got a plan," Nathalia said with a rather disappointed tone.
Seeing her pouting her lips, Spencer couldn't help finding her lovelier, and he took her into his arms and hugged her tight.

The familiar scent greeted her nose pleasantly and sweetly. Nathalia indulged herself and
buried her head in his embrace.
Feeling her soft and delicate body in his arms, he felt comforted. Closing his eyes, he
heaved a sigh of relief. I've missed her so much. How wonderful it is just to cuddle her, to
feel her heartbeat!
Nathalia then recalled the incident and wanted to push Spencer away, yet she saw the content look on his face, and she couldn't bring herself to refuse him. Instead, she wrapped her arms around him and buried her head back into his arms. A gentle kiss flowed down onto her head.
Nathalia felt comforted and loved again. She was no longer angry with Spencer. The incident had been a challenge to both of them, and they had overcome it.
In his embrace, breathing in the familiar pleasant scent of him, Nathalia slowly dozed off. In her sleep, she would, now and then, rubbed her head on Spencer's chest. Looking at her, content asleep in his arms, Spencer smiled. He felt like the sun had finally shone through the clouds on him after a long and cold winter.
The driver and bodyguard saw his smile and was relieved. Finally, he looks happy! It's been a long time since he last smiled.
The car pulled over outside a lovely Greek restaurant. Spencer kissed Nathalia's head gently and whispered, "Here's the surprise for you, babe." Nathalia awakened, stretched her slim body, and looked out of the window to see the sign of the restaurant. Her face lit up.
She had not yet tried Greek food and was excited to have something new. A surprise indeed. She thought.
The restaurant was filled with dinners. When Spencer and Nathalia came in, a waiter apologized to them for the lack of vacancy. Nathalia was disappointed.

Spencer frowned, then he quickly took the waiter to the side and whispered, "Are you sure you can't get us a table?" He showed the waiter his business card. Now realizing that it was Spencer Davidson, the waiter panicked for a bit and quickly reacted, "Please wait for a moment. I will speak to the manager."
While waiting, Nathalia was a bit confused. "Shall I go somewhere else then? Though I do want to try some Greek food, we can come again next time." Spencer stroked her pouted lips and said with a smile, "Then you will have Greek food, soon."
A minute later, a smartly-dressed man greeted Spencer, "It's a pleasure to see you, Mr. Spencer Davidson." They shook hands. "We have saved a VIP room for you and your wife. This way, please."
On hearing so, Nathalia threw a surprising look at Spencer, to which Spencer responded with a cheeky and proud wink. The manager ushered them into a beautifully decorated room with a view of the garden where colorful flowers blossomed. Nathalia gazed at the flowers delightfully if we could have a garden as well! She thought. She had always loved flowers and plants, and being close to them always brought her a sense of delight and peace.
Nathalia had a look at the menu and didn't know what was best to order. She wanted to try all the dishes! Spencer explained patiently about each dish she asked about. He loved the excitement on her face and was pleased with his choice of taking her here.
"What should we get for appetizers?" Nathalia asked excitedly. "Oh, there are so many choices, and they all sound so good! I didn't think I was hungry. No, I am."
"You can have whatever you want. And don't worry if you can't finish it. I will help you." Spencer said gently.
Nathalia looked at Spencer with a bit of uncertainty. Is he trying to make it up? This is his way of apologizing?
After studying the menu for a good while, Nathalia had chosen fried calamari with a spicy sauce and a hummus platter as appetizers, zucchini eggplant moussaka, and fava falafel as main. Spencer nodded in agreement, letting her decide.
While the waiter took the order, Spencer added, "And two glasses of Ferrari Carano Sauvignon Blanc. We will think about dessert later."
White wine? Nathalia wondered. Alright, I will give it a go. Nathalia wasn't a fan of alcohol, and surely Spencer knew that. She thought she would try it anyway and so she didn't interfere.
