The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 201

To their surprise, Mrs. Davidson looked thoughtful for a few seconds then started laughing, "Is this what they call Karma? Ha. Great. Great."
She laughed delightedly as if she had discovered the best news ever.
Nathalia and Spencer looked at each other, both confused and thought. That's not what I expected.
Sophie looked at Mrs. Davidson, then Nathalia, then Spencer, with no idea what was going on. "What do you mean?"
Mrs. Davidson took no notice of Sophie's question. She got some homemade chicken soup for Nathalia, "Here, this will help you recover. Get better soon, and once you recover, I will have you and Spencer's wedding arranged."
"Wedding?!" Nathalia exclaimed. Where did that come from?
Sophie gasped, "Are you getting married? So soon?" Nathalia is still in university. Is it the right thing to marry so early?
"Well, you two are going to get married anyway. It doesn't matter if it's earlier or later. Also, it will be great to have grandchildren soon." Mrs. Davidson reasoned and grinned happily when she mentioned grandchildren.
It got Spencer excited. He nodded enthusiastically, "I totally agree with mum."
It was late at night when Spencer's phone rang suddenly. Spencer woke up, saw the number, and answered immediately. "Yes? How's the investigation going?"
"The murderer was a homicidal maniac at large. He had killed thirteen people in total around Europe, the last place he was in before coming to the States was Italy..."
Italy? That's where Anne Carter and her children are. Spencer thought, worried. "Keep it going, get more info." He said plainly.
"Will do. Also, the DNA report shows that the body is not Frank Carter." the voice added.
Spencer's heart sank. It was the same as he expected. Frank Carter has plotted it, but he would not have been able to do this alone. Who is helping him? Who's behind this? What do they want?
After the phone call, Spencer couldn't fall asleep; worries and thoughts haunted his mind. Not having the answer to the question of who was behind the scene was like a bomb, which would explode anytime.

He got out of bed and went out to the living room without turning the light on. In the dark, he bumped into something.
The noise made Nathalia jump. In her pajamas, Nathalia had been sitting on the sofa alone, pondering. She quickly turned the light on. "What's the matter? You need anything?" She saw Spencer and asked gently.
Spencer caught sight of the worried look on Nathalia's face, though it was brief, and Nathalia hid it instantly. He looked at the clock. It was two-twenty. "It's late, babe. What are you doing here, sitting in the dark? Is everything ok?"
They spent a few more days in the hospital after Nathalia woke up, and Nathalia had wanted to go home. After confirming with the doctors a few times, Spencer agreed. However, he was too worried to leave her living on her own, though it was just next door, so he was sleeping in his study, and Nathalia could have his bedroom.
It's very late now. Can she not sleep? What's worrying her? Why didn't she just come to me? It hurt him to think about Nathalia keeping her worries to herself.
Nathalia intended not to answer, and instead, she asked as she went to the fridge, "I'm going to heat up some milk. Would you like some?"
Spencer cuddled Nathalia from behind. "What happened, babe? Can you tell me, please?" He could sense that her mind was troubled. Is she worrying about the same thing as me, wondering who is behind the scene?
I wish she didn't have to be so strong; I wish she could share with me her troubles and worries; I wish she could allow me to take some weight off her shoulders.
The touch and warmth of his body felt comforting to Nathalia. She felt relaxed and protected.
"Everything is fine. I just can't sleep and feel like a glass of milk." She turned around with a happy grin and said light-heartedly.
Spencer understood that she wasn't in the mood of telling him. Seeing her grin, he teased cheekily, "Do you want company on your bed tonight?"

He was merely teasing her and was expecting to see her blush; however, Nathalia didn't look surprised nor shy but very relaxed. She replied, "I do."
Now Spencer was astonished. He gazed at her and looked her up and down in disbelief. Nathalia smiled and blushed slightly. "Do you mean it?" He stuttered. His heart was beating fast, his mouth dry.
Realizing that Spencer was taking it seriously, Nathalia's cheeks turned rosy. She looked away, muttering, "I was just joking. I..."
Spencer lifted her up suddenly, and naturally, she wrapped her legs around his hips. In a hoarse voice, he whispered to her ear, "I know you mean it."
Nathalia could feel her heart pounding as if it would pop out. She muttered an excuse, hurriedly, "Wait, Spencer, your shoulder still hurts."
"Not anymore," Spencer said briefly, demandingly.
He carried Nathalia towards the bedroom, kicked the door open, put her down gently on the bed under him. Nathalia felt waves of heat rushing up to her body, his weight on her. He caressed her lips with his fingertip, slowly lifted her chin up, and placed his lips on hers. His tongue went searching and tangled with hers. His lips moved from her lips to her cheeks, slid towards her ears, down her neck, while his hands worked swiftly yet gently on undressing her.
Nathalia moaned. She was excited as well as uncertain. "Spencer?" She tried to speak, but it only came out as a whisper.
His lips and fingers caressed her skin and slid down her body passionately. She was aware of her body trembling helplessly, her hands on his head, stroking his hair down his neck, wanting.
"I love your body, Nathalia. I can do this forever." His voice trembled, his breathing heavy.
"Babe, you look beautiful," Spencer said gently.
Nathalia tapped his chest teasingly and pouted her lips as she said, "It hurt a little bit." She felt like she had been given a new body. There was a mild pain, yet somehow pleasant when he entered. She recalled, then suddenly thought of the other night when she was drugged. "Wait, I don't understand. This isn't the first time, right? Why did it hurt?" We had sex that night when I was drugged, didn't we?
Spencer took a deep breath to help control the unyielding desire in him. He took her hand and kissed it. "Do you think I would take your virginity when you were unconscious?"
If it had been someone else and he was what he used to be before he met Nathalia, he would have. That night, he wanted it very much, but he couldn't do it. Now he understood why he couldn't.
It was because he cared. He cared about how she felt. He knew their first time had to happen naturally, just like how it did.
Nathalia suddenly understood, but she still found it difficult to believe. "But didn't you say...?" She remembered him being evasive when she asked him. It wasn't surprising that she took it as a positive answer as she had never had any experience.
Spencer pecked a little kiss on her forehead, affectionately. "What did I say? I didn't say we did it. It's your dirty mind. Cheeky girl. You must have been fantasizing me, haven't you?" He teased.
Nathalia blushed instantly. "You are a cheeky one! You lied to me." Huh, why didn't he make it clear then? He was being misled intentionally.
She patted his head gently as a punishment.
Spencer surrendered with a grin, "Apologies. Babe, I was teasing you. Please don't get angry."
