The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 151

Despite how casually she said it, Frank was furious. He lifted his hand up and was about to plant a slap on Nathalia's face, "You little piece of shit..."
Fortunately, Nathalia dodged. "I know how much you want me dead, but I'm sorry, I will live as long as you live and longer than you live, and I will always be a thorn in your side."
The battle between them had started long ago anyway, so it was unnecessary to hide anything in public. It was meant to be a fight to the death.
"Mr. Carter, calm down please, and Miss Nathalia Carter, please apologize to your father. It's just a misunderstanding. You are father and daughter, and nothing can change that."
"Why don't you two have a proper talk? Calm down and talk. What's the point in arguing?"
The crowd persuaded.
Nathalia smiled, confident and elegant as usual, and said, "An eye for an eye. A tooth for a tooth. I will definitely fight back if someone mistreats me. If you've got nothing important to say, then excuse me. Enjoy your meal."
Bang. Frank slapped the table hard and loud, his face stern-looking. I tried to be harsh, but she didn't even care. It's going to be more difficult to deal with her.
"Wait. I have something to say. Gentlemen, can you please leave us alone for a few minutes." Frank shouted.
The crowd exchanged looks, then gradually stood up and left. Frank beckoned Nathalia to sit down next to him. Nathalia looked at him for a few seconds and went and sat beside him, thinking he wouldn't dare to do anything outrageous in public.
Lisa had been watching worriedly. Nathalia noticed, smiled at her calmly to assure her.
Frank had a few sips of his tea, and when he looked up at Nathalia, he was smiling and almost looked gentle and caring. "Nathalia, I didn't know. Trend is your company. Where did you get the money from?"
This was what worried Frank the most, the fact that she managed to set up a company, a very successful one, at such a young age, the fact that she was ambitious and clever.

So this is what you want to know. Ha. Nathalia thought and sneered. She played with her fingers and replied casually without looking at him, "Get to the point. Don't waste my time."
Seeing that Nathalia was cold and uncompromising, Frank stopped beating around the bush and said, "I can help you solve the problem as long as you promise me one thing."
Nathalia couldn't help mocking, "I'm not interested in doing any business with you. You don't worth my time."
Frank tried both the harsh and the gentle way, and neither worked. He glared at Nathalia and said, "Well, wait till your company is bought off, and you will be left with nothing."
"That's alright. I still have 15% shares of Carter's Company. I will survive." Nathalia said casually.
Frank held his fists tight and tried to swallow his anger. "What you can do is sell me 15%, and I will offer you a great price. You can use the money to keep your company." He went on persuading.
Finally, Nathalia looked at him, and the look made Frank shiver. It was icy, disdainful, and mocking. "Father, do you really see me as an idiot? Even if you want to rob me, you don't have to do it so openly."
The anger inside Frank flared up. Yes, you are a fucking dumbass. He thought. "You are too naïve. Nowadays, you need both power and money to survive in the business field. I suggest you take the money and leave the country, you will have enough to live a good life."
Nathalia looked at him for a good few seconds, smiled, and said, "Father, don't you understand? I'm not after money. I'm not after power."
Startled, Frank asked, "What for then?" It had never occurred to him that Nathalia was looking for something else, or anyone would be after something else rather than money and power.
A mocking smile appeared on Nathalia's face. It was cold, extremely cold. "To defeat you, to destroy the Carters and the company so that you and your bitch get what you deserve."

That was her purpose.
It shocked Frank like a bolt of lightning. His face turned angrily red. "You are a devil! You are a devil!" He yelled at Nathalia furiously.
"What goes around, comes around. It's called Karma. You will pay for what you've done. Kill me before I get revenge if you can, but let me warn you, no one can kill the law, and you can't escape Karma."
If anything happened to Nathalia, people would surely think it was the Carter. Yet, the Carter would not give up easily, and they would definitely try everything to get rid of her.
However, if Nathalia died, all her heritage would go to Spencer, and Spencer would get revenge for her. For the Carters, it was a dead end. They didn't have a choice.
For now, let them worry, suffer, and struggle. This is part of the revenge. Nathalia thought to herself.
Once again, Frank was taken back by Nathalia's threatening mystery. Desperately, he exclaimed, "What have I done to deserve this? I know I have not done anything wrong, but why do I have a daughter like you?"
"How did my mother die?" Nathalia interrupted him coldly and turned away.
It sent Frank shivering, his face pale. "What did you say? Stop. Come back. Tell me. Explain!" He shouted after Nathalia, but Nathalia paid him no attention.
The sun was setting behind the mountains, and night started crawling in.
Anna had been waiting at the gate of Spencer's apartment building. She tried to sweet talk the security guards, offered to give them money, but nothing worked. Hopelessly, she waited.
After some time, a Porsche pulled over outside the gate, and a few people got off. A lady in an expensive white jacket got out of the car, protected by her bodyguard and her nurse. Anna spotted the familiar figure, ran, and exclaimed, "I've been waiting for you! I'm back. I miss you so much."
However, before she could reach Mrs. Davidson, the bodyguard stopped her. It was unusual. "Let go of me! Now!" She yelled at the bodyguard, then turned to Mrs. Davidson and said in an almost pleading tone. "It's me. It's Anna. I've come back to you. Don't you remember me?"
I have only been home for some days, and everything's changed? They don't even recognize me? Anna thought sadly. Her father had locked her up while her mother had no choice but to follow suit. It was unbearable, not being allowed to go anywhere. She had even started to hate everyone at home.
As soon as she found a way to sneak out of the house, she came straight to Mrs. Davison, thinking, perhaps, she was the only person in the world that truly loved her.
Seeing Anna, Mrs. Davidson cheered up immediately. "Anna?! Let go of her." She demanded the bodyguard.
Helplessly, the bodyguard answered feebly as he held Anna's hand. "Mr. Spencer Davidson has instructed us not to let Miss Anna Jones come close to you."
Certainly, the bodyguard would rather listen to Spencer Davidson, who had a clear head and paid them, rather than Mrs. Davidson, who often knew not where her mind was.
Like a confused kid, Mrs. Davidson stared at them, not sure what to do. Anna was shocked to hear what the bodyguard said. Her eyes wide open, she retorted, "Nonsense! Spencer would never do this to me..."
The bodyguard looked awkward, but he didn't let go of Anna. "This is an order from Mr. Spencer Davidson. I have to obey. Please understand. It's not easy for me." It was true. He was only a bodyguard doing his job to get paid.
