The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 93

"Yes." Nathalia lifted her eyebrows and said assertively, "Don't you remember that you said to the media and the public that you would return the shares to me? Are you trying to deny what you said? Huh?"
I won't let you. Nathalia assured herself.
Frank regretted it. I shouldn't have said it, but I didn't really have a choice. What can I do now? He thought and quickly changed his attitude. With a forced smile and in a gentle tone, he said, "Nathalia, you know I'm just helping you take care of the shares, and when you get to 20 years old, I will return them to you. You are still very young and don't understand how to manage them. It's better you leave them to dad now."
He sounded sincere and genuine as if he was really doing it for her sake, but Nathalia couldn't care the least. "Dad, I appreciate your thoughtfulness, but I don't need your help. I'm a grown-up, and I don't want to be under anyone's control. By the way, I'm not living in your house anymore anyway, and I've rented a flat for myself."
"Nathalia! You..." Frank reacted angrily, and he wished he could strangle and kill her there and then. You arrogant, ungrateful shit. But he composed himself and resumed his gentle tone, "I can buy you a house. Whatever you want, just tell me, and I will buy it for you..." What a loving and considerate father he sounded now!
Nathalia had expected it and knew he would not give up easily. She wasn't angry or frustrated but maintained her indifference. "I'd rather spend my own money than ask you for anything. Dad, give me back what belongs to me."
Frank had tried persuading, pretending to be caring, but now realizing that it didn't work, he took off the mask and glared at Nathalia icily, "What if I don't?"

He had made up his mind that he would never give up. What are you going to do about it? Huh?
The audience found it ridiculous. As the chairman of the company, he was robbing his daughter with the shareholders watching. It's better than those shares go to Miss Nathalia Carter than him. At least she seems to be open-minded and not aggressive and possessive as Frank.
Frank stared at Nathalia and waited. There's nothing you can do about it. The shares are mine, and you aren't getting any back.
Nathalia smiled, calm as usual, as if everything was under her control. She ignored Frank and turned around, "Mr. Rushton."
The crowd waited, almost excitedly. What's her next move now? Nathalia had impressed them again and again, totally exceeding their expectations. She's an exceptional girl. It's a shame that she was born in the wrong family.
Sean Rushton took a disdainful glance at Frank. "That will leave us with no choice but to take you to court."
It was like a bomb that suddenly exploded. Everyone gasped. This is serious!
It was true that that was the only way.
Frank couldn't believe what he heard. His mind went blank, and he couldn't think. At that moment, the only thing he wanted was to kill Nathalia. His world would be so much better without her. So much better. He clenched his fists.
"What?! Nathalia, don't you dare to suit me! I'm your father!"
Nathalia despised him thoroughly. As a father, you use me, and you rob me, you want to destroy me. And you still expect me to respect you!
The corners of her lips tilted up in a sneer. "Are you scared? Well, just give me back what's mine. Simple. By the way, FATHER, I've written my will." She stressed the word 'father' ironically.

"Mr. Rushton, can you please show them?" She turned to Sean and asked politely. "Especially my FATHER, make sure he understands it clearly."
People had heard about her talking about it, but they were still shocked, knowing that she wasn't just talking about it, but actually meant what she said. An eighteen-year-old girl had written her will to show her father. She must have experienced intense fear and become fearless.
Are the Carter's really plotting to kill her?
"What? A will?"
"Miss Carter, you can't be serious."
"Why? What made you do so?"
Frank was so enraged that he was almost gasping for breath. Why do I have a daughter like her?!
The piece of paper weighed like a rock in everyone's hand. It was a prudently written will. It made sure that the Carter's would not get a single cent from her.
She's so young yet so sophisticated. One day, she's going to rock the world. I wish my son or daughter was like her.
1. If I die before I get to 20, all my money will be donated to the charity organizations I've chosen. The shares of the Carter's I own will belong to Spencer Davidson.
2. If I die before I get to 25, everything I own belongs to Spencer Davidson under one single condition, which is that he has to take over the Carter's company and disallow anyone of the Carter's family in the BOD.
These were the first two points in the will. The shock was written on everyone's face. 20 years old? 25 years old? Why? Does she know that she will probably die soon?
It was clear that if Nathalia did die before she was 20 or 25 years old, the Carter's would very likely be destroyed. Spencer Davidson would get involved.
The fact that Spencer and Steve had given her the shares proved it.
Frank stared at the paper in his trembling hand. This time he felt fear.
"You are serious?" He muttered. She's got Spencer Davidson to help. All my plans are going to be ruined. Is she planning all of this on her own? Or is there someone behind? Did someone ask her to do it?
One thing he had to admit was that he had underestimated her. He had to think of a better plan. He needed a new strategy.
There was apparent tension in the air, but it didn't affect Nathalia at all. She twirled her hair with her fingers and said casually, "Of course, father, I AM serious. Isn't it better to leave money to those that need help than to some heartless, murderous people?"

THE TIME MACHINE (Completed)
The Time Machine is a science fiction novel by H. G. Wells, published in 1895 and written as a frame narrative. Wells is generally credited with the popularization of the concept of time travel by using a vehicle that allows an operator to travel purposely and selectively forwards or backward in time. The term "time machine", coined by Wells, is now almost universally used to refer to such a vehicle. The Time Machine has been adapted into three feature films of the same name, as well as two television versions, and a large number of comic book adaptations.
