The Rise Of Nathalia Carter Chapter 52

When one lost control of their mind, they could do anything. And Nathalia had pretty much lost control.
Ben was sober and thinking logically. Frightened, he stepped back, and Nathalia dashed towards the door, opened it, and ran as fast as she could. The door shut behind her. 'Bang'. It awakened the startled crowd.
Evette was furious to watch Nathalia escape. She glared at the faces around her. Useless!
"Ben, run after her!" she shouted to Ben.
Ben suddenly realized what had happened. He went out after Nathalia, but he had lost her. Frustrated, he kicked the wall.
Bitch. She's kicked me and cut my face! She will pay for it!
Nathalia wandered in the dim hallway, struggling to find the lift. She felt feverish and anxious. Desperately, she pulled her own hair hard, hoping to sober up. She dialed the number again, but again, it was not answered.
Expected. At the end of the day, I'm all on my own. It's my own battle.
What can I do now?
Then she caught sight of the word 'Toilet,' and she went in. She put the knife down and turned the tap on. She splashed water on her face, tapped it, and splashed more water till she felt her cheeks cool down a bit. As she looked up in the mirror, she saw a strange face of her own she had never seen before. Her pupils dilated, her cheeks were red. She sneered.
I will get revenge. She told herself.
"What are you smiling about?" a clear voice came from behind. Nathalia froze for a second, then suddenly turned around to see a tall, good-looking figure standing behind learning on the wall casually.
And she screamed, "Ahhhh. Pervert! Get out!"
Matt immediately covered his ears with his hands and frowned.
"Excuse me, Miss Nathalia Carter, this is the gents."
Nathalia is stopping screaming, and her jaw dropped. Her mouth was wide open, and one could stuff a boiled egg in it. She looked around and realized she was indeed in the men's toilet.

How could I have made such a stupid mistake? How lucky I am! Shit.
She felt sudden dizziness again, so she clenched the tap and lowered her head down to let the water run on her head. She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths. Think. She tried to remind herself. Think.
She stood up, leaning against the tap, water running down her long hair, wetting her bras, dripping onto the floor—the knife lying on the sink, stained with blood.
What have I done? She was confused.
Matt was intrigued. It seemed every time he saw her, and there was something different about her. Strange and special. What is she doing here? Is she drunk? Anyway, she's Spencer's girlfriend. I'd better not get involved.
However, when he was about to leave, he somehow changed his mind and went close to her, "What's the matter?" He asked gently as he stretched his arm out to touch her shoulder. As soon as he asked, he regretted it. Why am I doing this? It's none of my business.
She put her hand up and stopped his hand in the air. "Don't touch me. Leave me alone!"
Though the water had helped her sober up a little bit, a sexual desire, the lust for men, grew stronger and stronger in her. With him standing close to her, her body was begging him to come even closer, to be inside her. She had to be so strong not to lose control.
Now that Matt could see her face more clearly, he noticed the difference. "You have taken drugs?" he frowned. She didn't seem to be the sort of girl that would take drugs to me. Somehow he felt disappointed.
Spencer's never had good taste in girls anyway. She's just one of them, I guess.
Nathalia sneered, lifted her eyebrow, and looked at Matt. "Hello, prosecutor, are you going to arrest me?"

Nathalia's porcelain skin glowed in the dim light, her cheeks rosy red. She looked so innocent yet so seductive at the same time.
Matt looked into her eyes, and he swallowed. He swallowed his desire inside. She's Spencer's girlfriend! Don't be stupid. She's looking so desirable.
He was having a battle with himself. He wanted to surrender to his desire, but he knew he shouldn't.
"I will take you to the hospital." He suggested. Again, as soon as he said it, he felt more confused by himself. What am I doing? I must have had too much to drink. I'm not thinking properly.
"Hush. Quiet." Nathalia whispered, and she stared at the door, concentrating as if she heard something suspicious. Suddenly, she grabbed the knife on the sink and stretched it out in front of her.
She looked cold, determined, focused. Her eyes glowed with courage. She had changed to a different person.
Matt was amazed as if he had never met her before.
Scuffling sounds came from the hallway. It sounded like there were a bunch of people chasing someone.
Then Evette's voice traveled through the hallway, "Nathalia? Nathalia? Where are you?"
"Let's look around. We have to find her!" She demanded.
"Go and look in the toilet."
More scuffling noises.
Nathalia retreated into the corner, holding the knife tight. She bit her lower lip in concentration.
Matt followed her and stood next to her in the corner, holding his breath as if the sound of breathing would give them away. He looked at the door and waited, though he had no idea what he was waiting for.
More scuffling noises.
"No. She's not in the toilet."
Fortunately, they did not search for the gents. Then came Evette's demanding voice, "Ben, what have you done? You can't even handle a girl. Useless. How are you going to explain to my mum?" She sounded very annoyed.
"Don't worry. We will find her." Ben assured her.
"We'd better do, and then we can still stick to our plan," Evette answered.
Nathalia and Matt listened attentively. Nathalia's eyes seemed to sparkle. They look piercingly bright, like the cat's eyes caught in a flashlight in the pitch dark night. Sweats dripped down her forehead.
When it finally quieted down, Matt whispered, "That's your sister?". He was astonished.
All of a sudden, Nathalia turned the knife at her arm, and swiftly she sliced a cut on it. Blood gushed out. She enjoyed the pain, and she smiled—a smile of fearlessness.
Matt gasped in silence. What the hell is she doing? What have I brought myself into? Why is she hurting herself? And she's smiling!
"Are you insane?" he asked. Doesn't it hurt?
"Shut up." Nathalia glared at him. She took out her phone, changed the sim card, and dialed a number.
"I'm reporting a drug scene at The Night. A group of people is taking drugs in Room 5013 on the fifth floor." she managed to speak calmly.
Then she dialed another number. "I have some good info for you. Evette Carter, the younger daughter of the Carters, is having a party at The Night, and she is taking drugs." She hung up, took the sim card out, and flushed it down the toilet.
She was quick and smart, even graceful. She knew clearly what needed to be done. However, that took the last bit of energy out of her, and as soon as she had finished, she collapsed.

Warning: The protagonist begins the story quite cowed and meek but progresses into a more assertive and situationally dominant personality. This is partly due to growth, but also a result of the character overcoming initial shock and longstanding depression. If you think I could have handled a segment better, by all means, point it out and provide your reasoning and suggestion. Everyone's experience of depression is different, and Tim's is a close representation of my own, so it won't necessarily 'vibe' with everyone. Chapters are around 15k words and released approx 1/week over the weekend. Has been reduced to around 7.5k to 9k to better fit my schedule.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

God of Shinobi - A Naruto SI
Finding myself in the body of Naruto Uzumaki was pretty unsettling. But I can't complain too much because Kami knows there are plenty of other characters that get way less plot armor. Enough talk, there are enemies to kill and plans to be disrupted. Wouldn't have signed up for this, but since I'm here, might as well get the job done.
