Harry Potter: Blood Of The Dragon Chapter 175

Dumbledore was in his office, working on some papers. It was still a mystery as to what exactly he did in the school. Maybe he just acted of being very busy, nobody knew.
Fawkes was silently sleeping on his perch, Dumbledore was worried for his Phoenix friend these days as Fawkes seems to be missing sometimes and whenever he returns he seems too tired.
He tried to ask but the bird never answered him back. Amidst his thoughts, he heard the loud sounds coming from outside.
He looked at the crystal ball on the table. It was directly connected to the large Gorgoyle status at his office's door. He could see everything outside with this.
As soon as he saw the scene he stood up from his seat. He quickly strode to the door and opened it, letting Magnus, Ragnar and Severus enter. Behind them was also Professor McGonagall and Professor Slughorn. Their faces looked much more horrifying than Magnus and his friends'.
"What happened?" Dumbledore urgently asked.
Magnus decided to shock the old man, ~I hope he doesn't get a heart attack.~
"Chamber of Secrets, professor." He replied.
That was it, the faces of the three professors lost their colour. These were nightmarish words for them, as they were here when the chamber was opened years ago, they went through that hellish time.
"How did it open?" Dumbledore asked.
Magnus answered, "I opened it, mistakenly. I was just in the 1st year girl's bathroom, yes, the haunted one. Well, I found the entrance there. Then, I entered with my friends and found out what killed Myrtle.
"It turned out, it was a giant Basilisk, though I have killed it now. The dead body is still there, you all should come with me and see it for yourself."
Dumbledore quickly jumped close to Magnus and checked him closely, "Are you okay? Did you get any wounds?"
"No no, none of us did. Just some bruises but no venomous injuries. I was able to defeat the snake with my sword, as my charms seemed to not work on it. Let's go, I will show the snake to you. Call Professor Flitwick too, I bet he would like to see it." Magnus advised. The more people there were who could vouch for his achievements the better.
Dumbledore sighed and nodded at McGonagall. She then called all the professors. Dumbledore though called for Hagrid.

"Follow us, dear professors," Ragnar said and walked with Magnus.
After a while, they stood up in front of the giant hole in the girl's bathroom. "This is the entrance. I just had to use my Dragontongue. But I'm sure this was meant to be opened with Parseltongue, but because my language is universal for lizards, dragons and snakes it opened.
"I'm not jumping into the sewers," McGonagall said with a shrunk nose.
"Quite exciting this is. I feel like a little kid." Slughorn excitedly spoke.
Magnus turned to Dumbledore, "Maybe you and a few more should come with me first, then you should be able to apparate. Anyway, I don't think Hagrid will fit through the pipes."
Everybody looked at the gentle giant and wobbled their heads in agreement.
Dumbledore was already feeling anxious, he had no time to talk here, so he made a decision, "Professor Flitwick, come with me. We will go there with the students first."
Flitwick knew he was selected due to his height but he didn't mind. In this scenario, his height was his advantage.
"How did you go down?" Flitwick asked them.
Magnus answered, "I went down on a broom while these two numbskulls jumped right in and came perfectly safe out, but they fell on thousands of rat skeletons and garbage."
"Broom it will be then," Dumbledore replied.
...
After a short journey, Magnus again brought them to the door that sealed the chamber. He used his dragon tongue and opened it. But Magnus hoped that Cuddles was still there.
Still, to signal that it was him, he also shouted some words for Cuddles in the dragon tongue.
...
Cuddles was very bored after Magnus left. He had to wait the whole night, but he was not sleepy. There wasn't anything to do either as he had explored the whole chamber a long time ago.
So, Cuddles just rolled in where he was supposed to be, thumping his tail in the water boredly, just waiting for Magnus.
"I'm coming, Cuddles, get ready." Magnus' voice finally reaches his ear. He could hear the metal sound of the door opening. So he continued to do his best acting ever.
...
Dumbledore and Flitwick were left shocked and shaken by the sight of the beast. It was terrifying beyond words, it could not be called ugly but it was indeed worth appreciating its fear striking look.

"You defeated it?" Flitwick asked excitedly.
Magnus nodded, "Yes, Ragnar and Severus distracted it while I jumped on its back to thrust my sword in the head."
*Clap*
Flitwick started clapping by just imagining this scene of his best student defeating a Basilisk of this size. As expected from the future strongest wizard.
Dumbledore went close to it with his wand out. "So this is what caused the panic that time. It wasn't Hagrid or his pet spider that killed Myrtle. The poor boy went to Azkaban for no reason."
Magnus agreed, "You should call the minister and a few reporters here, so they can publish it and also help Hagrid."
Dumbledore immediately stared at Magnus intently, ~Was this his plan all along?~
He looked back at the dead snake again. Dumbledore was really amazed that Magnus killed it. *Breathing*
Poor Cuddles, he could only act dead, not stop breathing. When Dumbledore was too close to it, he felt air coming out of the snake's nostrils. His hand gripped tight on his wand.
But he did not react. He had a feeling there was something more to it than what he was seeing. And he had known Magnus for a while now, so he knew that nothing was simple with this boy.
"Yes, let's call the minister and a few reporters." Dumbledore agreed, while alternatively glancing at Magnus to find out what his motive really is.
...
After a while, with the help of Hagrid, another way into the tunnels was found. Soon, others also arrived at the chamber. Dumbledore had sent someone to get the Minister too, while Magnus had already called Rita and a few more journalists.
*KA-CHAK*
Magnus, Ragnar and Severus stood in front of Cuddles and got their picture taken.
And just in time, the Minister arrived, with two Aurors to her side. She nearly jumped back after seeing Cuddles. They had never seen such a huge snake before in their life.
Eugenia turned to Dumbledore and Hagrid, "We will need to call the Wizengamot."
"Yes, indeed." Dumbledore gave a short reply. He was just waiting for all this to end so he could understand what was going on here. Why was the snake alive and also acting dead?
"Minister, will us three be rewarded or something for doing this? We just solved such an old and big mystery." Magnus asked her.
But Eugenia felt as if he was not asking but ordering, "We will look into it first. I think some kind of appreciation will be in order. I will talk about it when I get back. You did an amazing thing, Mr Pendragon, the wizarding world will be proud to have someone like you around."
Magnus smiled embarrassingly, "Hehe, thank you, Minister."
A few more pictures were taken by the Aurors and then they left with the Minister. Magnus also sent Rita Skeeter away so she can write an article for the next day's newspaper.
Dumbledore spoke with his colleagues, "Let's head back, classes should be about to start. Hagrid, help them along the way."
"Alright, professors. Follow me." Hagrid led everyone out of the chamber.
Now, only Magnus, Ragnar, Severus and Dumbledore were left.
Dumbledore looked Magnus in the eye and straightforwardly asked, "I may be old but I'm not blind, Mr Pendragon. Tell me honestly, what's going on here and why is that snake alive?"
*PAT* *PAT*
Magnus, with a chuckle, walked to Cuddles and patted on his head, "Hehe, meet my new pet, Cuddles. Yes, this is his name."
( ̄_ ̄)
Dumbledore just blankly stood there in shock with some thoughts raging in his mind. How crazy was Magnus' life going to be? He has done so many things, why can't he be a normal student of Hogwarts?
But, poor Dumbledore didn't know about Duck yet. In fact, if he were to see Camelot he might just pass out due to all the shocks and surprises. That place was magical, like heaven on earth.

Transformers: Heroes
Heroic Decepticons Alternate Universe. A century ago, the eons-old war between the Autobots and the Decepticons suddenly and inexplicably came to an end. Since then, many have gone their separate ways, whilst others still hold onto the bitter memories of war. Now, as Autobots and Neutrals join forces in a new directive to capture every Decepticon still left alive, it appears that the Autobots will finally get their chance to even the score, and defeat their enemies once and for all. But when they become the target of seemingly random, yet terrifying attacks, some begin to realize that the enemy may be much closer to home than anyone could have ever imagined. Author's Notes: While it helps to have a little bit of prior knowledge about the world of Transformers, you don't need to be a Transformers fan to enjoy this story, or even a Decepticons fan! One thing I can say for sure is that it is unlike any Transformers fan fiction you've ever come across. This story aims to explore one possible set of motivations in depth in a setting of ongoing conflict between the Autobots (and, more recently, the Alliance - a collaboration between Autobots and Neutrals) and the Decepticons. Although this story takes a lot of things from the G1 cartoon, it is by no means strictly G1 toon oriented and introduces characters and/or ideas from other continuities (Sentinel Prime, Jhiaxus, Thunderblast and Rook (not the Autobot Rook - the other Rook!). Set primarily on Cybertron and Alternity City, it also deviates from certain key elements common in Transformers canon. For one thing, the general consensus that all Autobots are good and all Decepticons are bad is challenged, and a new meaning to the motivations behind their conflict is offered (which is a recurring theme in my Heroic Decepticons Alternate Universes). Some personalities have been altered from their canonical profiles as a necessity (Megatron being the most obvious example) and developed to a much deeper level than the original cartoon allowed. I hope you enjoy and thanks for reading.
