Harry Potter: Blood Of The Dragon Chapter 148

"What took you so long?" Magnus asked, looking back at Ragnar who had just arrived.
Ragnar shook his head, "Nothing."
But Magnus was not dumb enough to not understand what had happened. There was a reason why he ran into the wall first, so he could give Ragnar some personal time.
He left his luggage and went to Ragnar, putting his hand on his shoulder, "Well, I'm not stupid, brother of mine."
Ragnar looked at his face and chuckled, "Thank you for clarifying that, my brother."
"WELL WELL... WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE? Did you two finally start dating?" James came out of the wall and saw them.
Magnus proudly turned to him, "No, we are now officially brothers."
"Yeah, aunt and uncle adopted me." Ragnar clarified.
James, although a douchebag, understood how important this must have been. He knew about Ragnar's past after all. He shook Ragnar's hand, "I'm happy for you,."
"What about you, James? What did you do during this break?" Magnus asked him as they walked towards the train.
"HEHE, I travelled to Egypt this time. Saw so many magical tombs." James said.
Magnus and Ragnar looked at him in disgust. Ragnar asked, "So you wasted your whole summer break having fun?"
"What? That's what summer breaks are for, to have fun." James stated.
Magnus facepalmed himself, "Hmm, don't say why I am better at Charms and quidditch than you later. I studied and practised"
"Huh, so you wasted your holidays on boring stuff. We're kids, Magnus. If you don't enjoy it now, you'll miss being young." James advised him.
Magnus would have surely agreed but only if he did not have a bunch of psychos trying to kill him.
*Sigh*
They proceeded to board the train. But in their way, mostly everyone would step aside, giving Magnus way. Then there was a lot of talking and finger-pointing at him.
~Is this what celebrities feel like? This is annoying.~ he muttered to himself.
He also noticed a few angry eyes, most likely the Pure-bloods.
The new Muggle-born first years had no idea though and were confused by this change in atmosphere on the platform.
Ignoring all, Magnus entered the carriage and found an empty cabin for himself. After a few minutes, the whole gang got together. Severus and Emma joined him. While Sirius, Remus and Peter joined James.

"Where is your Regulus? Shouldn't he be with you?" Magnus asked Sirius.
Sirius shook his head in disappointment, "He was sent with Narcissa because my family thought being with me would make him join Gryffindor."
"Don't worry, he will be in Slytherin most likely and this year I am not going to let anybody mess around there," Magnus assured him.
...
Their train ride was normal as always. Magnus had his packed lunch to eat, though it did not stop him from buying some more snacks from the trolly lady.
When they were halfway, Severus went to the bathroom, but when he returned, he had brought the red-haired Gryffindor girl, Lily. Magnus wondered if Severus even went to the bathroom. Being the best wingman he was, he made place.
"Come on in, you two. We have enough place." Magnus told them.
He made Emma and Ragnar slide to the side. But then, to his shock, Severus let Lily sit beside him and he sat on her other side. ~Wait... shouldn't he sit beside me?~
"Hey, Magnus." Lily greeted him.
Magnus did the same, but he looked into her eyes, and everything became clear to him. It was the same shine he had seen in Emma's eyes. Looking to his other side, he could see Emma glaring at Lily, as if she would jump on Lily and beat her at any moment.
~This is bad. Sev likes her, and I don't like anyone. Emma is a friend, but making Lily my friend would be accepting her feelings, and Sev might feel hurt.~ he talked to himself.
"Oh, we should change into robes. There are so many of us in the cabin after all." He said and got up.
"Yes, Mag, let's go." Emma got up as well.
Magnus stopped and stared at her dumbly, "You do know I'm going to change clothes?"
Realising what she did, her cheeks turned red and she sat back down. "I-I was..."
Ragnar patted her head, "Patience, my child. Patience."
Their whole journey was awkward after this. Lily tried to make small talk with him, while he tried to end the topic quickly or would bring others into it.
He knew she was a very talented potioneer but the last thing he wanted now was a complicated love triangle. Also, they were all too young. He expected that this infatuation of Emma and Lily would end someday. If it stays even after a few years, maybe he will think about it then.

*Train Whistle*
The train slowly aligned itself at the Hogsmeade station and stopped. Everyone started to deboard the train. All except 1st years headed to the Thestral carriages to arrive at the school. He always wondered what these carriages look like to those who couldn't see these beautiful creatures. As per the tradition, he gave the Thestral a treat and got on.
While the 1st years were taken by boat. Hagrid was as energetic as ever.
The great hall was as full as always. They were not allowed to go to their dorms first and instead were told to head to the hall. A sorting ceremony would happen there.
Magnus knew that this was an important year for him because all the 1st years were just 1 year younger than him. This means that if he is able to influence a maximum number of them, then he'd have a lot of followers. He didn't need crazy followers like Death Eaters, what he wanted were people who would come forward to help others when needed and will generally be law-abiding people. He didn't need many fighters.
Professor McGonagall as always brought the 1st years and started letting the talking hat sort them one by one. There weren't that many Slytherin this year it seemed.
Eventually, Regulus arrived at the stool. The talking hat just touched his head and it screamed "SLYTHERIN!"
Magnus was angry at the hat now, how could it know the fate of a child in a split second. ~I guess I need to have a good chat with it, or else, who knows how many Dark Lords it will push up.~
He clapped for Regulus. His and Regulus' eyes also met for a few seconds just then. But then he ran to sit beside Narcissa.
"Is he avoiding me?" Magnus wondered.
Ragnar agreed, "Of course he is, his parents probably scared the hell out of him so he stays away from you."
"But for how long? In the end, we live in the same dungeon." Severus added.
"Yes, no matter what, I know he's a good boy. A little timid and easy to manipulate but at heart he is good. I will help him, whether he befriends us or not." Magnus decided.
After the sorting was done, Dumbledore got up to give some warning. "The feast shall begin soon after. Before that, a word of advice from me, any student roaming after the night hours will be given detention, and visiting the Forbidden Forest is forbidden for all students. We had an incident last year, so beware."
He was looking at Sirius and his gang while saying this. Because they were the ones who had broken rules last year, not Magnus. He always had permission.
*CLAP CLAP*
"Enjoy the meal," Dumbledore sat down on his chair. Tasty food also appeared on their tables.
Magnus and Ragnar pounced on it to fill their stomachs.
"I can eat more than you, Rag, so no need to try so hard," Magnus claimed as he stuffed his mouth with roasted honey chicken.
Ragnar's mouth was stuffed like a chipmunk with his cheeks bloated. "Fufu... I fill fin..."
Severus slowly distanced himself from them, "I don't know you two."
...
After dinner, they all returned to the dorms. Where Magnus let Summer and Chad go free and play around in the dorm room.
Then he took out a bundle of small booklets from his luggage and headed back to the common hall.
"Hehe, I bet we can attract many of them with this." He muttered.
Ragnar and Severus followed him behind. They also held bundles of small booklets. The trio then arrived in the middle of the common room and stopped. Magnus took a stool and stood on top of it.

AK - The Alchemy Kingdom
Karl always wanted to be a Mage. He was born in the Serion Kingdom, a fully pledged magic Kingdom. Seems like a perfect match, right? Unfortunately, no. He's just a commoner, working endlessly to maintaining the lifestyle of Mages. On his 15th birthday, his last chance to escape from a miserable life was destroyed when he was deemed to have no magic potential. For thousands of Serion's citizens that would be the end of their dreams. But how could this story be any fun, ending like that? Follow Karl and his friends while they tried to fight against the Kingdom's oppression. Will the system bend them to submission or will they break the chains of destiny? Spoiler alert: After thousands of years, an ancient Magic system will be reborn in the small Caiset village. What should you expect? - Kingdom Building: For sure! The heavy lifting will come later, I promise! Foundation is important, please be patient; - Epic battles: A Kingdom is not built without war and conflict. Who doesn't like good fights? Let's bring some excitement to this novel!; - Multiple leading characters: Karl convinced them to get on the bus, but this is a very long trip and everyone will need to drive a little; - Scientific Magic System: Especially Alchemy! I'm in no way trying to take the fantasy out of Magic. I just feel like trying to do something more logical. I'll probably stumble on a fine line, but I’m counting on you to keep me on track!; - World Building: I’m using some basic concepts from traditional Fantasy Worlds and trying to add some nice touches to make it unique; - Fun?: I'll try to insert some humor into the story, but that’s an experience we will go through together. Other points I find important: Alchemy is mostly crafting magic tools, but it will go a little further down the road. Even if you don't like crafting, weapon enhancing and whatnot, don’t give up on the novel. You might be surprised about Alchemy's reach later. Also, other types of Magic will play an important role here, just not the leading role. ......... Check out my two spin-off novels, Merchant Queen and Harbinger of Death! Both are independent novels, but with the same world setting... Maybe some crossover later... Either way, you can check them to get additional information on worldbuilding and hidden plots... Please leave a comment! If you want to help me more, support me on Patreon. I'm always trying to come up with new ways for you to participate in this journey. New Chapters on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday!
