"Mee too." Lifen added.
Surgeon Jina asked. "I heard you still get to work with other hospitals. Why dont you try working with us?"
Psychologist Du smiled. "I have a part time contract with Gu Hospital."
Xiao Ai snapped her head towards him instantly. "Gu hospital? Shit...Mo corporation should have recruited you. What's Hannah doing? Letting Gu corporation win."
Lifen:"..."
"Shouldnt you be happy instead. Your man practically owns Gu Gu corporation. The more money they get, the more you are able to spend." She ate a bit of her food.
Psychologist Du noticed that the food on her plate were mostly vegetables. "Are you a vegetarian?"
Surgeon Jina replied. "No..but someone accused me yesterday and I haven't been able to get the pictures of dead bodies off my mind. I think I might throw up if I have any meat?"
Xiao Ai pretended to look guilty and picked at her food, although there was nothing to pick at as she had almost finished it all. "I am sorry about yesterday. You werent he only one I asked though...even Yusheng is a suspect."
Surgeon Jina asked. "whoever it is you find, I wish you luck finding her?"
Lifen nodded and turned to Xiao Ai. "Say what do we do about the man? I reckon his wife might need some psychological help. Her husband doesn't have much of a character. Say is marriage sometimes like this?"
Xiap Ai sighed. "I dont know. My life is good anyways. How could he lay his hands on..oh God...help us. I will say he shouldnt even show his face to her. The woman looked livid. Its good that she now knows what's good for her. Trying to make a broken marriage work isnt something any lady should have to cope with."

Psychologist Du didnt know what on earth they were talking about, but he joined nevertheless.
"No woman should be subjected to domestic violence. It's a cruel act. 90% of domestically violent men cannot handle being on the receiving end. But I have to say that G district has something to it. Why do most of the crimes take place there."
Surgeon jina had been listening in and decide to interfere. 'Was there yet another killing?" She checked her phone.
"Not yet. It's a case we happened to withness at the police station. A woman came to report he husband. She looked psychologically drained. Most failed marriages are in Badar street."
Xiao Ai gulped her water in a rush as if annoyed. "It makes me wonder why any newly married in their right senses will settle in that area. It seemed cursed. No marriage goes well there."
"Exactly. I suppose I will have something waiting on my neck after this case."
"I wish you good luck with that." Lifen said.
"Amd if you need my help. I am only a call away. But of course, money included."
And they all laughed. Surgeon Jina mde small talks with them before she left without finishing her food. As she had been called for duty.
"The things we do to save their lives..." she sighed.
After she was gone...the three stared at each other before breaking into a knowing smile.
"I should try acting."
"Xiao Ai...you mean we should try acting."
"How did you even think of that, psychiatrist Long."
"I have dealings with patients whose memories only need be triggered by few words. I was hoping we could get some reaction out of her."
"She was incredibly calm though?"

Xiao Ai smirked. "Says who.."
Lifen and Psychologist Du stared at her. She looked down at her legs and smiled...
"I dont like people who vibrate their legs against mine. Except if it's my husband of course."she shrugged and stood up. "Its time to finish this thing you started. Shall I put my social media to use?"
They followed her outside the cafeteria.
"What are you planning to do?" Lifen asked.
Xiao Ai whispered a few words and they nodded.
Psychologist Du seemed unsure...
"Shouldnt we inform the police about this before doing it. To prepare them so they can play along."
Soon they were at the police station. Perhaps because Xiao Ais dressing looked quite manly today, the police were on toes once again. She was wearing a boyfriend trousers with baggy shirt. It made her look like she was there to look for trouble.
Xiao Ai and Lifen in one frame was pleasing to the eye but not to the mind. Xiao AI was on the more taller side with a matured face while Lifen had a cute small Asian face and her bob cut simply made it more obvious as to how small her face was.
"Good afternoon everyone. " Lifen greeted.

The Demon’s Bride
Elise had about to change into the dress that was lying on the corner of her bed when she heard a knock lightly calling from her door. Curious, she turned the door knob only to have a tall man towering in front of her.«Master Ian!» She called.Ian smiled with the usual mischievous smirk that he always used. His crimson eyes trailing a little over her room and spotted the black dress over her bed and shifted his eyes over to the woman in front of him. He stepped forward and spoke. «Where did you acquire that dress?»«Mr. Harland gave it to me.» Elise replied and strained her neck to see Ian’s brows knitted in its elegance.«Do you know why a man would love to give a woman a dress?» He gave the riddle that she always had to think twice before replying. But this time, she found no answer and instead shook her head. «I don’t know.»His grin grew bewitching as though something had stirred deep inside the scarlet eyes that he had. He slowly slid his hand over the collar of her dress, sending a cold shiver that startled her for a moment due to its freezing temperature. After unbuttoning the first two buttons on her collar, he tilted his head down, whispering to her ears. «Because they want to be the one to undress the cloth.»He paused and kissed her neck, turning the pale skin to red before retracting his move to fix his eyes on her and leisurely replied. «Unfortunately, you can’t wear the dress over there with this.» He chuckled and passed a box over to her hand. «And the fortunate news is I prepared a dress for you.»

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!
