Xiao Ai pretended to not hear what she was saying and walked ahead. When Lifen kept bothering her, she asked about Yusheng. "How has it been going between you and Yusheng? Has it been...you know all shades of grey?"

Lifen halted and slapped her shoulder. "Dont think I forgot the incident about you selling me out. How much did you get? Can you share it?"

Xiao Ai shook her head and handed Lifen some cash. "I am saying this not to brag but you know my families are quite wealthy. The amount of wealth we have is just unexplainable. Things like this you wont get but it still doesn't stop me from helping your broke self. Ah...that Little fool texted me."

Lifen who was still counting her money, froze and robot her head on Xiao Ai. " What did he say he wanted?"

"He said he's broke." She tsked "absurd right? He has an endless wealth yet he complains of being broke. How frivolous."

Lifen propped. "That's all? I mean he suddenly texted you out of the blue."

Xiao AI explained what happened during the game night to Lifen.

"I guess that's why he thought he could text me. I wouldnt have called twere it not for his witch mother. Ah.. did you know Little Guy is actually that witches son. Shes Little Fools youngest brother." Seeing that Lifen didnt look too surprised "You already knew?"

"No. I am just not surprised. Little Fool did introduce him as his youngest brother."

She rolled her eyes and kept on walking. "He refers to everyone of his close members like that."

"Besides did he not once say that he had severed ties with his family. I am not surprised he didnt mention it. You dont do background checks on your workers?"

"He does the checking so I didnt really ask him. Nevertheless he should have told me. We had so many opportunities to use him to rob the Gu family off more money and it had just slipped like that."

Lifen realized how selfish and shameless her friend was and decided to desert her.

Xiao Ai didnt know what she said wrong for Lifen to have given such look. On her way back she met Yusheng who cornered her to a wall.

Lifen tried to escape. "This is a work premises. Surgeon Li behave yourself."

Yusheng tilted his head and gave her an amused boy smile. "I cant believe you can say that after what happened on the roof top and at your home." He leaned in a bit more their noses grazing and Lifen found that she couldn't pull away like she wanted to. She was yearning for his touch on her again. "Isnt that hypocrisy?"

"Cough..cough...cough..."

Yusheng stood straight and Lifen adjusted her short bob hair.

Surgeon Jina and some other nurses had seen what happened.

"What happened on the rooftop Psychiatrist Long?"

Lifen nodded her had disapproving. "Nothing happened. Nothing. "

Surgeon Jina narrowed her eyes between the two and landed it on Yusheng.

"Just some little romance or maybe more. Not too explicit. " he honestly explained and Lifen stomped on his feet. He winced but smiled at her mouthing a 'what'

Surgeon Jina stared at Lifen. "Hospital Sexual tension eh?? Just be careful after all there specie isnt reliable."

Yusheng frowned and narrowed his eyes at her. "And what should that mean?"

"Exactly what it implied. Dont you have the ex patient Xu Ning living with you?"

Yusheng gave a side glance to Lifen. "Shes temporarily at my place."

Surgeon Jina nodded while the hurses whispered amongst themselves.

Xu Ning the former miss Get lost was living with the surgeon?

There was a glint of indescribable hatred in her eyes as she glanced from Yusheng to Lifen. But it quickly disappeared as it came. She winked at Lifen and walked past Yusheng giving him another unfathomable look.

Yusheng pointed his hand in her direction. "Did you see that? Shes always trying to belittle us. She should be glad we aren't working in the same department else i wouldnt take any of her nonsense."

"The females like her though. She is blunt in her words and shockingly truthful as though she had brought up lots of men yet she says shes an only child."

Yusheng shrugged and they both walled on.

Xiao Ai quickly signed out and left the hospital before profesosr Ku could see her and find something to keep her there.

Profeseor Ku saw her rushing for the elevator. As Xiao Ai turned around she saw profesor ku and with style she pretended to not be repeatedly pressing the buttons.

Why did they have to meet only when shes about to take the elevator? But it was also surprising.

Why wasnt he running after her and only waving his hands. Had he given up on hercompletely?
