"Three days ago, you didn't let me visit you. When I saw you at work two days ago, you quickly left saying you were busy, you won't even eat with me. When I go to find you at your department you refuse to see me."

"It's because am busy ok? Am leaving"

Lifen turned around but once again her wrist was caught by Yusheng who immediately pulled her to himself. There face was very close. He could see the tiny freckles on her cheeks. Both she and Xiao Ai would usually cover it up with powder, though Lifens freckles were more obvious compared to Xiao Ai.

"Long Lifen, do you dare to look into my eye and tell me you haven't been avoiding me?" Yushengs cool mint breath touched the tip of her nose and Lifen felt her knees go weak. She quickly grabbed his coat to hold onto. She had never felt this way before.

"You..Yusheng don't be like this." she avoided his eyes for few seconds and then looked straight into them."yes, I have been avoiding you, so let me go befire I kick your balls." she threatened.

Yusheng smiled and let her go, this seemed more like the Lifen he knew.

"Why?"

Lifen seemed like she was pondering on it for a while. "To be honest I dont..."

Just then Yushengs phone rang and he had to leave because it was an emergency.

"The ER is a bit packed today, I have to leave now. Lifen have lunch with me hun? I will come to fetch you, if you refuse I will tell everyone you and Xiao Ai used to date."

Lifen wanted to retort but Yusheng had already ran off. It seems like he was truly busy compared to her. Even Quack Xiao Ai was becoming busy.

"Sis...is everything fine?" Jenny had just walked Si Meng off when she came back only to witness the scene between Yusheng and Lifen.

Lifen nodded telling her it was fine.

But Jenny probed further. "Are you bothered about Miss Xu living with older brother sheng?"

It seems that Jenny had captured Lifens thought as Lifen quickly looked away and blushed.

"No am not bothered. He can do whatever he wants." she pretended to be okay and started walking off but Jenny stuck to her like glue and trailed behind.

"Sis.. .don't you know?" she intentionally sounded mysterious which made Lifen slow down a bit.

"Know what?"

"The whole hospital knows. You are probably the only one that doesn't know." she continued holding onto her elbow and giving a sad smile.

"What? There's a gossip everyone knows but I don't?" She curiously asked.

That was impossible. Xiao Ai and Lifen were like the gossip bags of the hospital especially to the departments closer to them. It was impossible that Lifen wouldn't know something everyone knew.

"It's not a gossip sis. It's something else. Like someone crushing on someone." Jenny said placing her in suspense.

Lifen lowered her head a bit and looked at Jenny with curious eyes.

"Tell me quick..."

"It's about you and Older brother Sheng. I don't know if I should be the one saying this. " Jenny felt a bit unsure. This was the matters of the adults was she allowed to interfere?

Lifen panicked a bit. " I don't have a crush on Yusheng. We are just friends. "

"But what about the other party?"

"Jenny, you speak clearly and don't put me in suspense. What about Who?"

"Older sister, everyone in the hospital knows Older brother Sheng likes you a lot. Everyone knows because it's so obvious. Only you are oblivious to it."

Lufen froze for a while staring into the air.

Yusheng liked her a lot and everyone knew.

Except she who was being liked.

Everyone....that meant even Xiao Ai knew.

"You you must be joking. It's impossible. Yusheng only sees me as his friend." Lifen tried to argue feeling that there was no way Yusheng liked her like that.

Jenny sighed and moved forward a bit. " If you don't believe me why don't you ask everyone. Everyone knows. Even the long term patients and the new ones. It's too obvious for anyone to not know. Ah..Older sister, why don't you ask Nurse Lim? She is a blabber mouth." Jenny then walked away.

Lifen stood in the same spot for sometime, before dragging her feets way.

She didn't know where she was going and by the time she stopped she realised she was in the department of General surgery. This was Yushengs department.

"Hun...Psychiatrist Long, you are here? Surgeon Li is in the OR. Should I go fetch him?" Nurse Lim asked smiling at Lifen.

Another nurse sitting at the reception couldn't help but talk. " Say Nurse Lim why are you still so dense. Surgeon is in the OR and you want to call him out. Is that professional?"
