"Unlocked the title, Strength of a titan!"
"Unlocked the title, Resistance of a titan!"
Only when hearing those two announcements by the system, did I realise that even after all this time, I never bothered to check the effects of the titles I received the last time, yet with how the tool to unlock its explanation now costing way more than I was willing to pay for it, I had no way to get any information what did obtaining this title affect in my body or strength itself.
Ignoring the aspect of the uncheckable titles, rather than wasting my time on looking what was the effects of the last titles I obtained and never cared to investigate them as with my growth, no matter what their bonuses were, it wouldn't affect my real power in any meaningful way, and doing so would waste the precious time that I could spend for looking for the ultimate mean of taking over the entire heavenly city with all of its extensive knowledge hidden within their library!
With my new improved body, I took a moment to familiarise myself with how it felt to operate it, before taking the decisive step forward and crossing the boundary between the area that once posed a threat to me, to one that right now felt like nothing but a fun, hunting challenge.
Yet as soon as I appeared on the other side of the barrier, instead of a lush forest with quite a bit of frost, I entered the same arctic environment, that once signalled the toughest battle I have in this life so far.
But rather than feeling fear of the possible tough opponent that would await me in the further part of the location, I felt a burst of joy spawning in my heart, instantly speeding up my movement. While I didnt improve my agility at all, just the increased strength in my legs allowed me to cover swaths of the lands with nothing but a simple jump that would otherwise require me to blast myself into the air with a shockwave!

And just like that, in no more than five jumps, I crashlanded into the familiar softness beyond the imagination!
"PENGU!"
As soon as I made sure that it wasn't just the same type of beast as my old friend, I shouted from the bottom of my lungs, not caring about the situation I put myself into at all. Only when I realised that there was no reaction from this once again, big ball of fluffiness, I bothered myself to look around the place.
With how limited my view was, I was unable to clearly see what kind of trouble Pengu was facing right now, but with just a single sweep of my energy vision, I spot a huge mass of condensed energy in a standoff with the familiar freezing aura of my penguin friend.
Hesitatingly detaching myself from this soft heaven of Pengu's back, I moved to the side, finally capable of properly assessing the situation. Seeing how my old friend was in the middle of the staring contest with what looked like a secondary boss of the undead zombie riders that once forced me to withdraw from the forest, at first I thought that they were in some kind of intimidation duel, but seeing how once joyful and curious eyes of my animal friend had now this strange, absent look, I couldn't help but notice that something was wrong.
While I didn't like stealing the prey from the others, sensing that Pengu might be in some sort of danger, I didn't dare to linger in place any longer!
Pulling out my Snakebite just to be sure, I lowered the centre of my mass, before launching myself forward, towards this ugly enemy of my friend!
With how the two of them were both motionless, as their pupils were locked in the contest of stares, only when my body reached the fistfight distance to the undead monster riding on top of what looked like a zombie of some kind of orc, did this abomination react, raising its hands, still holding the reins, to protect itself from the slam of my staff.

But little did it know, that my attack, despite my improved strenght, wasn't physicial at all!
Instead of using my newfound power, I simply coated the tip of my spear with entropy, instantly turning it into a sharp icicle, that penetrated through the raised guard of the monster and plunged itself right into where its body most likely once was, only to suddenly lose its form and sink inside the undead form.
In a single instant, the bones held together by the powerful condensation of magic started falling apart, as if this abomination lost the power to hold its body together, but just a single look at its energetical state betrayed that rather than being devoured by my entropy just like any other opponent I met so far, it was using insane amounts of its internal energy to fight off the entropy!
Just this was enough to put me on edge, instantly changing my state of mind from relaxed to a wary one, yet due to the reckless nature of my attack, I was unable to react fast enough when an outburst of energy was sent my way by this monster!
All the shields that I worked so hard to create shattered in an instant, opening up the way for the remaining energy of the attack to sink directly in my body, stopping me from initiating any magical attack!
For the very first time in my life, a monster was capable to render my magic useless!
But just when I was about to shift to the physical attack in order to retaliate with my newfound strength, a sudden burst of freezing cold went past me, instantly turning the already thick magical fog that held the remaining part of the undead body into nothing else than a funny shaped icicle!
"Pengu!"
Turning around, I saw a content grim appearing on the beak of my friend, when it moved its pupils to my body, instantly changing the look of happiness to one of a surprise!

Beneath No Sky: Chronicles of the Atmospheric Sector
After bringing themselves back from the brink of annihilation, humanity's future seemed bleak. However, it's remnants, throwing aside the old order and donning a new mantle of progress aimed to rise above their ancient disputes and go forward as one. Once the Earth reached it's natural limit, and colonies around Terra and Luna had shown promising results, humanity finally decided to make the move to the stars. Believing this to be the start of a new age, they eagerly poured across the solar system and further beyond, greeting what space had to offer with hope and optimism. It was misplaced, however, for humanity's traditional quarrels soon resurfaced and engulfed a now interplanetary empire of many races. As the Earth Empire burned and an intense depression overtook the once optimistic people, some held out hope. They theorized that their problems were born of an inherent sense of home and, in order to rid humanity, now comprising of the Terrans as well as all the other known species of the galaxy, of this burden, decided to move far away from civilized space, into uncharted depths, to start anew. Some 200 years have passed since then, and those hopeful ones have finally found a place to settle on. Firmly planting their flag in paradise, they called this untouched land "Eden" and declared the beginning of a true new age, the age of After Eden.Trouble, however, seemed to still be hounding them, as barely three years after its founding, Eden finds itself at war with a seemingly uncommunicative and uncompromising enemy that far outclasses the odd pirates they were used to facing. A new era of peace, marked by an immediate conflict. Time will tell if Eden, the Grand Experiment, truly is as great as it's supposed to be. ---------------------------------------- This is a sci-fi, character driven, military space drama. Multiple POV protagonists and lots of unnecessary detail. Somewhat psychological. My first work on this website. The Crisis on Planet 9
Welcome to the dream colony Planet 9, where the streets are stained by blood and the buildings are filled with human remains. The creatures roaming among the abandoned cars and flying vehicles resemble almost to perfection the mindless cannibalistic zombies born from the fictional nightmares of mankind. The cities were built in the retro style of the 21st century, but the technology of the 24th century is ever present, mostly within the bodies of those mortally challenged monstrosities. After all, what turned them into these things was not an evolved organic virus, an alien disease, or some sort of magical artifact, it was the corrupted and reprogrammed nanobots within their bodies. Originally, they were meant to heal them and help them access the tech around them, but now they were the origin of this disaster. Among the rotting dead and the Nano-Z, as the survivors called them, Kardian Pandora awakens two months after getting bit by one of them. A young teacher at the local Resonance High, foolish and naive in his own way, but now driven by the Sapient AI in the nanobots inside his body to hunt down other Nano-Z and learn how to survive. For now, his only goal is to become strong enough and rejoin his students and fellow colleagues, foolishly hoping to somehow be able to get back to the time when the undead did not rule the streets. Will Kardian be able to survive in this new savage world or will his naive outlook lead him to a dead end? Volume 1 can be bought on Amazon: Resonance High
