The next hall looked almost the same, with the only difference being that the architect that made this place most likely had a little bit greater budget so that all the walls already had a small hue of whiteness to them, yet still not to the point to hide the natural pores of the walls.
And just like before, right in the middle of the circular arena, there was a single guy in red robes waiting for me, as if it was the most obvious thing to do in the middle of a damned day!
"Welcome, senior. It is a pleasure…"
Right in the middle of his speech, I raised my hand to stop him both from uttering the nonsense and wasting his time on bowing.
"Can we keep this short? I assume that both as I want to get over with this trial, you would prefer to not waste this time and just go to cultivate. Soo… come at me?"
Seeing and hearing my haughty attitude and words, this young man turned out to be pretty obedient, almost instantly lashing out at me. But this time, instead of waiting for him and fighting him first, I instantly stepped aside and moved forward, using the fact that it was most likely impossible for him to change his trajectory midair.
"W-wait!"
By the time this poor guy finally landed on the hard ground, I was already stepping through the next set of the doors and entered yet another corridor. This time, instead of leading me straight forward, after walking just for a few meters, it angled to the left, only to lead me to yet another circular hall with yet another cultivator waiting in the middle of it for my arrival.
"Lemme guesses, you are honoured to meet me, your senior, and you hope I will go easy on you, am I right?"

If the pattern of the corridors would continue in the way I expected it to, then after finishing all four of the stages, I would do a full circle and return to the place I started with. Since that was the case, I had to give the testers some time to prepare. After all, the fifth stage would bring someone who I had to pretend to have at least a slightest problem to win against, and I didn't want to stall for time in the place covered in the acidic scent of the vomit!
"Senior, I know that you are most likely stronger than me, but is there any reason to be rude to me? I don't know what my juniors did to put you in such an angry mood, but I'm not at fault for their mishaps!"
For the first time since I entered this place, someone was talking with any sense. While it was pretty obvious that the entire trial was observed by people who would love to judge my character from my actions instead from my words, I couldn't help but start to like this guy just for how normal he was as compared to the other people I met in this sect so far!
Maybe because he made me recall the one nice guy I met back at the arena city from the naturals sect?
"Well, you have a point here. So let's just drop the formalities and fight it out. With how right you were, I will reward your behaviour by going easy on you. Come on!"
With my words finally prompting yet another guy into action, this time he didn't jump high into the air as if the had a chunni disease, but instead he approached me in a normal way, only putting his guards up when he reached twice the reach of my hands.

As his hands sprung into action, his body shifted so that while his right first would accelerate towards my face, his other hand would be hidden behind his side.
What was with those people, did they copy Nuruto hand signs or something to attempt to hide their free hand so desperately?
Instead of avoiding the attack, I simply raised my hand and caught the opponent's fist. Pulling it down while I stepped backwards, I forced the guy's body out of the balance, making him reach with his other hand towards the ground as to shield his face from crashing into the earth.
And I couldn't miss such a great opportunity!
With his face plummeting down, I simply raised my feet towards it, stopping it just a few millimetres away from his nose, just to show him what would happen if I didn't go easy on him.
"I give up, senior."
Without a cliche ranting that would prompt this guy into denial about his loss for yet another few minutes stretching this entire situation needlessly and forcing some kind of future chronicler that would record my adventures to waste yet another five hundred words to describe how I would trash him, this guy simply accepted the result of this short encounter.
"Thank you for going easy on me, senior!"
As I once again approached yet another set of the doors, the disciple behind me bowed down, with ever so slight smile on his face. For a while, I suspected that there was some kind of trap behind his smile, but sensing no danger from the corridor in front of me, I decided to just follow my gut feeling.
"Hey, wassup!"
Just as I stepped through the doors, a sudden appearance of Bonger's voice somehow managed to startle me. Was he waiting for this damned moment to speak up when I just lowered my guard?
*What the hell do you want?*
"Ah, nothing much. Just came by to ask if you could borrow me the keys to our father's car, as I found this chick that I would love to pick up…"
*What the fuck are you speaking about? Did you get sick? Any bugs appeared? Should I diagnose you or something?*
"Come on, can't I joke around a bit? Anyway, forget that. I came by to inform that the executioner's path is finally evolved. Have fun playing around it, as it unlocked five more breaking points for you!"
