"If this is really what you want, then I might consider your request. But do me a favour and sate my curiosity, are you guys all perverts? Why the hell do you want to be watched by your entire clan when I would potentially have sex with you?"
While I already learned to accept the fact that those primitives state of mind greatly differed from my own or even that of the people from cultivation world, it bothered me to no end what was the source of this change. Like most of the stuff that people would take for granted in any society, in reality, it had its roots deep in the historical events that gave birth to said civilisation in the first place.
Back on earth, women stayed at home because of a simple fact. One man could impregnate multiple women at the same time, while one woman could only bear the child of one man in a specific period of time. With the long pregnancy time when compared to the other animals, primitive people were forced to use their own selves to the maximum of their potential if they wanted their lineage to stay afloat, making men the actually dispensable part of the community.
Obviously, as the civilisation advanced and the constant culling of population diminished to a manageable level, those men who used to go out and be active in terms of discovery and exploring started deepening the rift, even though the reason for this behaviour wasn't as important as it used to. The fact of being the physically stronger sex still remained, making them more suited to be warriors, but it was the fault of the tradition and their historic upbringing that the position of the women plummeted down and down.
But in this world, where the inborn physique was nothing when compared to what any human could achieve by cultivating, developing their body or using the mana in any way that allowed him to gain an edge, that small differences that allowed the men to remain at the top on earth, were simply too small to matter in this world.

It was men's urges that levelled the field for the women. The physique no longer remained supreme, as just a small difference in cultivation was enough to overcome it. With nature no longer as deadly as it was for primitives on earth, once the tribes in this world conquered the stable style of life, both sexes emerged absolutely equal!
At least, that's the simple version of the story. Just by thinking about this in a proper way, one could see how wrong it actually was!
If the basic equations that resulted in a specific cultural and societal outcome in the earthy civilisation were upset due to the influence of energy in this world, there was no way that other aspects of life would remain the same!
Pruderity? Purity? Those words were created to describe the concepts that humans came up with to fight with their animalistic nature and develop a more advanced society. But with how some problems didn't exist in the first place in this world, the approach that many of the people had towards intercourse or even the marriage itself was insanely different as well!
"It was always like that. Only by possessing me in front of the public, they will be forced to recognise me as the princess-dowager!"
Ah, so this time it was a matter of politics!
As we made our way towards the part of the forest where countless men were using their fist to wore down the base of the tree to a point where it would give up and fall down. Just this sight alone made me dumbstruck, but seeing around fifteen men and women sitting on those logs and trying to carve their insides with just a small knifes, I realised what was another mistake I made.
With the order to create the ships, they put all the manpower into this task!
"Okay, everyone stop and come here. We are going to do some changes."

There was no way I could hold back even a single second longer. Just a few seconds of looking at how careful those artisans were in carving the logs out, I understood that my initial perception of them as just a tad more skilled but still primitives, was actually wrong.
While their tools left a lot to ask for, the precision and focus while they separated the soft bark from the log, before marking the part to be carved and dividing it into spheres that could be cut one by one. Just the fact they used some sort of methodic to make their work if not faster then at least steadier was worth the praise, but the way they were put to work was simply wrong!
"All of you, who used to carve the boats. Drop this matter. Your task will be to make simple axes. The more the better. Just tell me, do you know how to make the stone tools?"
With how the village of the overlord was clearly made with the help of the outsiders and how I never had the chance to visit those people a former place of dwelling, I had no idea whether they even advanced to the level of stone tools. Just like with morals, with the insane power, one could obtain as compared to mortal humans, most of the tasks that required tools could be accomplished just by using raw strength.
"I can do them."
Stepping up, an old lady stepped up. While it initially surprised me since with how time-consuming not to speak how crude-looking the end effect would most likely be, I guessed that it would be one of the men to rise in response to my question. But it didn't change anything in the long run.
Contrary to that, the crowd actually started murmuring amongst themselves, as if that lady speaking up was something they would never expect to happen!
"This is old Kuruma. She is the last one who possesses the lost knowledge of stone making."
As if she wanted to fill me in details, the princess that continued to hang my arm at all times, pulled on my arm a bit stronger and raised on her toes in order to whisper right to my ear.
Seriously?
Lost knowledge of stone making? While I know that like with everything, there was some sort of sophistication with it, when it all came to it, it was all about banging one rock against another, wasn't it?
Yeah, there was the task of picking the right rock for the task, correct way of banging it, fitting angle of hit… But wasn't that something one could learn with just a simple trial and error? There was no damned science included in it!
"Okay then. I don't care how much you value it as your precious and treasured knowledge, but you will teach everyone how to make sharp edges capable of cutting the trees. We need axes and only axes. And the moment your legs will step upon my island, all that knowledge will become obsolete!"
At this point, I realised I made the mistake. If this was the only thing that this old lady could use to leverage her status, the most obvious route she would take is to refuse to share it! While she might be unsure and maybe willing to help out before, by telling her how I would have no need for her once specialised and sought for skills, wouldn't she become the greatest opposer to the idea of moving away from their own island?

The Undead Revolution
This was my first attempt at writing a story, in hiatus indefinitely. This story follows Silvy, half-elf, a rare race despised by both humans and elves. Having never met her father, the first years of her life were spent together with her mother, who had to leave her native village because of the blasphemy she had committed by giving birth to Silvy. At the age of eight, Silvy became an orphan and was left to fend for herself. Her mother had died of illness, Silvy’s life turning upside down: the child went from living in a modest but cozy home with poor but daily meals to live outside the walls in the slums, where crime was commonplace and food was scarce. Luck had yet to abandon her completely though, because a group of orphans like Silvy decided to help, integrating her into their group and teaching the tricks of the trade; that is, stealing and swindling. But fate had not yet finished playing with her. Kidnapped and frightened, her life will turn upside down again when she awakens as undead, but still able to think clearly.

Mutation Era
That one fateful day, he showed up. The man in black. He who acted like this life was just another game. He appeared everywhere. Floating up in the sky. So naturally, but yet strangely eerie. He raised his hand and snapped then… Mutation. ... This is my first story that i've written, and with no education in story-writing, please don't expect anything of quality. I encourage you to give me feedback on my work. On that note, have fun reading! You can expect maybe 1 or 2 chapters per month because I'm really slow at writing. Chapter art courtesy of gej302
