What the hell is wrong with you! If you knew that it was so dangerous, why didn't you stop me earlier?!
"Blo.."
"To hell with this notification sound!"
In a flash, I felt like if some kind of machinery was put under overwhelming stress only to break right away. While it was only a minute feeling, I was sure that something huge just happened!
"Now it's better! Listen here you little shit! I didn't react when you so stupidly charged into the city without preparing yourself sufficiently, I didn't act when you continuously relied on my capabilities. I know all your memories so I understand that you expect me to be just a mindless little tool for your use, but please, have some fucking sense!"
Out of nowhere, a tyrade vibrated in my mind, as Bonger didn't bother to hold back with his words.
It was a long while since I realised that the stronger I got, the more talkative it became, but who could've known that it would burst out with character just like that!
Was it my sudden growth in levels or interaction with the void that awoken its character?
"You keep repeating the same mistake over and over again. Not comparing your real strength and the challenge you are taking! Do you know what would happen if I didn't block your consciousness from the void? YOU WOULD FUCKING DIE! Do you know what would happen if I didn't continue to help you with everything, from wiping your ass to saving your beloved one? YOU WOULD FUCKING DIE!"
Hold it right there! Do you think I wanted to move to this world? While I'm not as shameless to deny that my life here is certainly better than the one I lead back on earth, the amount of shit that I have to face on the daily basis in this place is greater than all the bullying from my previous life combined!

I don't think you have the right to lecture me when it was your fault I didn't get any directions or proper information from the decorations module!
"And you think this was something I'm responsible for? Have you ever heard of intentional bug? Easter eggs? Something is ringing under your ugly hair?"
What, do you meant to say that those decorations weren't supposed to be active in the first place? And why is that?
"Are you really that stupid or are you only pretending? While you almost ended up being dead right now, you discovered something, didn't you? How do you think you would end up if all you could do was following the orders? Do you really think a way prescribed by someone who never lived in this world by himself could be the perfect one? How do you think you will be every able to surpass him if you could only follow the route he created for you in the first place!?"
No matter how harsh those words were, there was no denying of the point that Bonger brough up. But that didn't warrant him to lash out at me like that!
Even if it's true, how do you expect me to learn about this word without taking risks? Starting with entropy and now with the void, if I didn't try it, I could only rely on the technique scrolls and cultivation manuals, that in my current situation… Are unaccessible! And in the end, furthering my path with them would be no different than following the directions picked by someone far greater than the authors of such scrolls!
"Don't you think you are already limited in your views by what you learned before waking up to this world? Since you are able to use magic which is inherently different than cultivation, then how do you think is this possible in this world if you believe the cultivation is the only way possible to grow in power here?"

As our argument continued, I started looking back at my actions through the new perspective offered to me by Bonger. Even if it was hard to accept the fact that I was wrong all along, if it could allow me to overcome my past limitations and reach for greater heights, I didn't mind prostrating on the ground before the imaginary body of Bongers while thanking him for the advice from the bottom of my heart!
Okay then, I was wrong. But I don't really get what you meant previously, not the only path to grow? Do you want to say that my abilities are not unique at all? If that was the case, then how come nobody so far ever pointed it out?
"Oh, for the creators' sake! It's like you asking why no one was speaking Russian in the Aztec Empire! If you can't really get this point that I'm trying to bring across now, then there is no point in further scolding you!"
Why didn't anyone speak Russian in the Aztec empire? Isn't that obvious? How could they know the language if they never met before…
As the reality dawned on me, I couldn't help but look at the Bonger under a new light. But why was he so different now? Why didn't he ask those questions before?
"Isn't it obvious? I have my limits as well. And to be honest, every time I point you in any direction, I'm no fucking different that this damned creator. If not for his mistake of making me simply too perfect, you would be at the saint realm long ago, while being far dumber and weaker than you already are!"
But that still leaves me with a rather important question! If taking a risk of learning something new is considered bad, then how the hell am I supposed to grow? It's not like I can just teleport away by myself to a random location! If you paid any attention to my reasons behind playing around with the void, it was all for the sake of learning how to create the teleportation window without your help!
"Eh… I'm too tired from fighting against my limits, for now, don't bother me for a few days and I will create one for you then. Only by going around the entire world can you learn all sorts of techniques. Now, if you will excuse me, I'm going to get proper rest. Don't bother me unless you will be dying!"

Waking Up
The story of Larin the Builder in the aftermath of Awakening This short story is the epilogue of Awakening, the first book of the Chronicles of Mother's Gate series. This epilogue is a great follow-up to the novel, a bonus story that adds extra layers between books without being necessary to the main storyline.Waking Up follows the story of Larin, who is alive but unconscious after her ordeal in the Nine Hells. She awakens in A'lara City a few days later and recuperates under the steadfast care of her repentant friend Jorn.As she reacclimates to her waking state, Larin struggles with her gruesome memories of the Hells and her decision to conceal them from Jorn. This story answers the question, Is Larin all right? with a resounding yes, and some storms on the horizon. It also raises the question, What happened to her down there? and includes an excerpt from the sister story Falling Down, about Larin's ordeal in the Nine Hells. Praise for Waking Up and Falling Down: Loved it. The difference between the two stories is great! The difference between Waking Up and Falling Down is astounding. So much light and love in the first story. You feel safe reading it. Healing. The second, so much darkness, pain and despair. The choice of vocabulary is awesome and makes an impact. And this set of short stories ties the two books together so well.-- Dana V. of Texas ★★★★★

Teddy Bear
As it would stand, the truth of the matter was that aliens had visited Earth before. Roswell was neither a hoax nor unique. It was simply a consequence of a world growing smaller as communication systems became more and more advanced, partly a result of said visitations. For the most part, past interactions between one of the planet Earth's more intelligent species of lifeform and the alien visitors were along the lines of obscure scientific surveys and tests disturbingly similar to attempts by some human scientists to estimate the intelligence of simians. For any species capable of travelling the stars. Visiting planet Earth made about as much sense as backpacking through the Ural Mountains of Siberia with nothing but a flint and a compass. That is to say, most people would prefer to stay close to someplace within walking distance of a mall or a population density slightly higher than four sapient beings per parsec. Still, statistically speaking, there are bound to be some weirdos who find joy rides though a nowhere solar system fun. Just buzzing a frantic farmer or two and playing chicken with an F-16 for the heck of it. Maybe even bring home a bovine to show off to the guys at the office.
