Are you fucking kidding me?
How is this timing even possible? We only arrived in the sect but Stella already wants me to show op? If she had any business with me, she should've told me back in the forest!
Oh, maybe it's about my encounter with this silly kid? But I doubt that master could get ahold of the news in such a short time. Maybe there were some things that she wanted to discuss in private?
Well, nothing I can do about it. Since it's my first day, I can't act out of the line. While it pains me to stop myself from jumping at Eve, I can't attract even more attention than I already did. While I might be a lot stronger than I was when I first meet the sect master, even now I can't help but shudder when looking back at the aura that I observed back then.
I know close to nothing about this world. While the knowledge from the wisdom stat showed me the basic rules of nature, but a specific application of those possibilities is solely a human invention.
It's like when you know what a fire is, but using it to create weapons and temper them? That has nothing to do with how this world operates! That only shows that even if my statistics brought me close to the mortal realm pinnacle, making use of them is entirely difrent matter.
"Give me a few minutes, I need to change my robes!"
Burying my head in Eve's bossom I tried to avoid her stunned gaze. I know that if I were to keep my previous attitude, I would just ignore the summons and focus on her. Just a sole fact that I prioritised the orders over her naked body lying right in front of me could be taken as an insult!

Not waiting for her sudden stupor to turn into anger or regret, I lower my head and place a soft kiss on her mouth. In this short moment, I do my best to savour the insane tenderness of her lips, as they bend gently under my attack.
"I'm sorry, but you know I have to go. I will make it up to you, I promise!"
Separating our lips, I excuse myself. No matter how much I would like to continue if my wish for a peaceful and comfortable life isn't guaranteed yet. I would never forgive myself if my momentary pleasure would win over the lasting benefits of sharing an entire life!
Pulling myself up, I throw the last stare at Eve's wiggling body, sunrays reflecting out of the droplets of sweat on her body… No!
If I keep looking at her, my instinct will take over me!
"Do you have any spare robe? I seem to mess with mine way too much."
When our bodies finally separate, I take a few steps back and turn my eyes from the bed. Taking a look at the state that I'm in, I can't help but sigh.
Upper robe torn in half, undergarments lying on the floor in pieces… I can't show up to the sect master like that! Thankfully, Eve managed to calm herself down. As I hear rustling behind me, I turn around only to see her covered in the blanket and looking through her closet.
"Here, you can use this one."
After rummaging through her clothes for a bit, she found a piece of cloth that wasn't specifically suited for a gender. She threw it at me along with longing glance.
"Make it as fast as you can, I will be waiting for you!"
Closing on me in a flash, she embraces my back before I even managed to cover myself with my new clothing. With her heartbeat transferred right to my body, I immerse myself in the warm calmness that steems from her closeness.

"I will be right back!"
Unable to wait any longer if I don't want to appear rude for the messenger, I take her arms from my body. In the sudden influx of emotion, I grab her hands and pull them toward my lips, placing a delicate kiss on Eve's palms.
Dropping the last bit of the naked body of hers that was touching me, I fix my robe in place and turn around to leave. As I try to exit, I notice that my rather brutal handling of the doors earlier broke the handle. Only after forcing my way by pulling the wood out of my way I manage to finally take a step out of the mansion.
"Come with me."
As soon as the messenger sees me, he just turns around and starts jogging towards the deeper parts of the sect. While I took my time to get ready, he couldn't expect me to drop everything on the spot and exit half-naked!
Since I don't know the way nor do I have any sort of identification to pass through the borders of the sect, I have no other choice but to follow him. Even with my run ability, the sheer might of agility stat allows me to easily overtake this petty guy before I halt my steps and allow him to get back to leading.
Showcasing my possibilities will bring me nothing but empty fame. I'm not as petty to be happy about it. The fewer people know about me, the safer my future will be. But no matter what, this only shows that either this particular guy is either a lot weaker than me or the sect just looks down on my capabilities.
In a few moments, we stop at the small fence guarded by a single cultivator. Looking at his appearance you could think that he isn't taking his duty seriously, but I can't forget one thing.
Cultivation can not only enhance human strengths but also give them a new way to influence the world. The circulation of the energy that I performed back in the forest to activate the sword is just an easy example of what I mean.
If that person in front of us guards the entrance, that means he is actually a member of the core disciples. That implies that he can back his position up with his strength. As such, taking him lightly wouldn't serve me any good.
Contrary to my expectations though, my guide simply took out a small jade and pulled me through the gate. While I noticed a small movement of a facial muscle of the guard, he didn't move at all, indicating that our passage got approved.
"Welcome to the core area of the sect, boy."

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
