“In two days, Evan and I are going to a horse race.”
“Yes.”
He answered quickly.
His slightly wrinkled brow relaxed gently.
“I want to go with you, too!”
The beginning was expressed emptily, but I did my best because I thought the end would come if I was caught.
“I’m really looking forward to going on a picnic together. Daddy, I know that you’re busy, but could you come with me?”
When I asked him desperately with my hands together, he cleared his throat loudly.
“All right.”
He picked up his pen again.
“I’m not very interested in horse racing, but I guess it can’t be helped because a sick kid asked me to.”

I laughed my head off.
“Father is coming with us. This is great.”
“What a fuss.”

This time, real blood poured out.

The time limit had to be appealed because I had not been loved at all.
I looked at him and coughed more quickly, but there was no more blood.

He wanted to go to the horse racing event with me, so I was wondering if he liked it, but I didn’t think so.
“I really wanted to go to a horse racing event. Are you excited?”
Anyway, it isn’t until the morning when we all left for the horse racing event that I could see Evan’s face properly.
Evan’s face was a little dry, and as soon as he got in the carriage, he began to doze off.
‘I guess you didn’t even want to go horse racing. It seems like you prefer the library.’
