"I didn't expect you to rush here." Maurice Serano said to Felix with a light chuckle. Did the Prince rush here for the woman he loves?

Maurice's face turned serious at the question. "Did you think that you are the only one who loves Elen? Then you're wrong. I love her too. You didn't want to cause her any harm, and so do I. Do you have the answer now?"

"We became a happy and normal couple just like everyone else. But we grew apart due to distance and lack of communication."

"At that time, I was busy working in a foreign branch and she was also busy with her own life. We eventually grew apart as time passed. It's been a while since we decided to break off the engagement. Our family also approved of this." Maurice explained, twisting the truth a bit.

Maurice snickered at the Prince. "You take that to heart?! Then why don't we grab a drink together? It will be better than simply talking."

Felix looked at Maurice with a confused face. Drink together? Were they close enough to do that? He surely remembers that this was just their second meeting. Besides, the ex-fiance and the current boyfriend having drinks together? What a ridiculous idea!

"It's fine if you don't want to. It's not like I didn't have a buddy to drink with." Maurice scoffed when he saw the Prince reaction.

It's fine if the Prince didn't agree with his suggestion. Why bother making that face? He too was not that excited anyway!

"No, let's do that. I'm just surprised." Felix changed his mind right away. After all, drinking together will be a good idea to clear up the tangled past.

"Then do this." He rose from his seat and stand near Sergeant Korin. He whispered something to his subordinate ear, ordering him to do some new task.

"I understand." Sergeant Korin saluted the Colonel once again and leave the office.....
