When Yelena received a call from her mother about the breaking engagement and Maurice Serano who was on his way to the hospital, she heavily sighed. She just regain her consciousness but it seems like many troubles await her.

"What's wrong?" Felix asked her when he saw her troubled face. ​​

Yelena was hesitant to tell him but she knew that he will understand once Maurice arrive. So, she tell him all the things she heard from her mother. Much to her surprise, Felix smiled when he hear her out.

"Why are you smiling?" She asked him with a grumpy face.

"Why won't I? You finally doesn't have a fiancé!" Felix exclaimed with joy which earned him a glare from the woman.

"Was that the only thing you heard? Didn't you hear me saying that my fiancé...no...my ex fiancé is on his way here?" She frowned. Did this man even have a brain?!

"Who cares? He's just the ex fiancé." He simply replied as if it was no big deal.

But it's the truth. It was no big deal for him. As long as he was the one who owns her heart, the other things doesn't matter.

"But let me ask you one thing. Did you never love your ex fiancé or did things go wrong between the two of you?" He asked her.

"We used to get along very well; but he left me." Yelena simply replied.

"Why?" Felix was perplexed. He was surprised to know that they used to care for each other. Above all, he finds it hard to believe that it was the man who left her!

Yelena was about to answer him but before she could do that, Maurice Serano barged inside the hospital room.

"Elen, are you okay?" Maurice gasped as soon as he entered the room. But the very moment he saw an unfamiliar man sitting next to Yelena's bed, his anxious face turned to a doubt.

When he take a closer look at the man, he identified him as the Crown Prince of Edeladon.

When the Prince attended the Peace Day, his pictures were widely circulated in social media, magazines and newspapers. So, it was hard to not remember him. But what was the Prince of a foreign country doing here?

"Why did you come? Please go back. You're not welcome here." Yelena completely brushed the man off.

She worriedly glanced at Felix as she was afraid he would be uncomfortable.

She was planning to tell him not to stay when Maurice came. She was worried that it would troubles him. But she forgot that Maurice house was not far from the hospital; so it took him no time to get here.

Maurice didn't care about Yelena's rejection. He was determined to check whether she was fine or not. He walked towards her but before he could reach to her, the tall figure of the man blocked him.

"You hear her. It's better for you to return." Felix deadpanned.

"Who do you think you are? I'm her fiancé!" Maurice scowled. He really hated the presence of this Prince!

"No, you're not. You may be in the past, but not now." Felix calmly responded.

"I'm also her first love!" Maurice retorted.

Felix sigh. This man was helpless! "Who cares about the first love when I'm the one she loves now?! I'll also be her last love." He firmly declared.

Felix scanned Maurice from head to toe. The man doesn't seemed to have any mental problems. But how could he let go of an amazing woman like Yelena? He didn't understand him at all! There's no way it could happen unless the man was super dumb!

At the very moment, he made a mental note reminding himself to never let go of her. He will never make a mistake like the ex fiancé did!

Maurice couldn't believe what he just heard! Did this Prince just said that Yelena loves him?! That's unbelievable!

But when he shifted his gaze to Yelena, he was filled with fear and nervousness! The Prince was speaking the truth. The way Yelena look at him was the proof!

Maurice could feel the immense amount of pain forming in his heart. It was as if a thousand knives were planted on his heart at once!

"Please go back. Don't come here again. Our engagement was annulled and we don't have a reason to see each other anymore." Yelena repeated herself. She tried her best not to get all worked up.

"Do you really love this man? Answer me, Elen." Maurice confronted Yelena. Though he already saw with his own eyes, he refused to accept unless he hear her personally.

"Yes, I love him. So, give up and forget about me." She told him. "Maurice, it's over between us. Why won't you just move on like you easily did before?"

Maurice used to believe that as long as he try hard, he would be able to make Yelena accept him again. It will be okay as long as he gave his all. But at that moment, he witnessed as all his hope vanished in the thin air!

Just like Mrs. Arista said, would they already be married by now if he didn't back out like that? He never thought that one stupid mistake would cost him his love!

The way Yelena look at the man; it was how she used to look at him years ago! The love that she gave him; that also used to belong to him!

How Maurice wish that he could went back to time! He would even be willing to sell his soul to the devil if it means he could correct his mistake!

He looked at Yelena with a broken heart; but nothing could be change now.

He cannot take the cold shoulder anymore. If he keep on staying in this place where he was absolutely unwanted, he didn't know what he would do next! He turned around and immediately stormed out of the room.

"I'm sorry for that." Yelena said to Felix as soon as Maurice left.

They finally started to find happiness together but he had to face off with her ex fiancé right away.

"Don't be sorry. But are you sure that he didn't have any mental problems? I think he needs to see a psychiatrist." Felix simply replied.

"Why?"

"Because he gave up on someone like you, only to regret later." He still couldn't understand why he left her. But he was quite thankful because the man's mistake gave him a chance!

If he didn't left her, maybe they would still be on good terms now and Yelena might never gave him her heart.

Yelena laughed at his frank response. "He didn't want me to join the army. That's why."

"Is he a fool? Did he hate the army?" He asked her. "I think it's an honour to have a girlfriend who serve the country!" He exclaimed with a proud smile.

Yelena smiled but the smile faded when she thought about the reason she joined the army. "Maybe he wants me to take over my mother's business; but I cannot do that. Much more like I don't dare because the price I pay to finally have the courage to change was so high." She muttered.

"What was the price?" Felix curiously asked her. He wants to know everything about her.

"My brother's life."
