Max looked at three curious people but instead of explaining, he asked, "Where did you hear about it?"

The three exchanged look. Max's words were a clear indication that he knew what it meant. It also seemed that he was a bit hesitant to share the truth with them.

"I assume you are already aware of most things since you know the people from the Ancient Families.." His grandfather said looking at him. "I am talking about the Demons.."

Max looked at them and nodded. He finally seemed to have an idea about what was going and the old man's next words confirmed his doubts.

"Yesterday, there was a meeting in the Association…"

It was pretty evident to Max that those people weren't there for him but something else. And soon, he was informed about the war's deadline and his expression changed.

'Is that why they are pushing me with such a heavy responsibility?' Max muttered inwardly. It seemed that there was a reason behind it after all.

But, the 10 year that Max had initially was now lowered to 5 years. This was going to be troublesome now.

Would they really be able to resist the demons 5 years from now?

'We have to..' Max reminded himself. There was no option of failure here.

He then looked at the three old man and decided to tell them about the story form the Ancient times about the struggle between the Demon and Humans. How the humans climbed the ladder and struggled with Demons to fight for dominance.

He then went to talk about the Heavenly Demon, Vaccaria who was sealed by Arkansas and would awakened like a disaster once in every era. After that he went onto the story of the five wielder who could use the Artifacts of the Ancient families and were apparently the saviors of the world who would defeat the Heavenly Demon, Vaccaria.

"The five wielders are no one but awakened descendants of Arkansas and I am one of them…"

Max forced a smile on his face while staring at their dumbfounded faces. No one could believe such a story at once after all. He hadn't met any such person until now for sure.

"You are not messing with us, are you?" Lisa's grandfather couldn't help but ask in confirmation.

Max was really speechless at him, as if he didn't have anything better to do, "I am serious."

The three exchanged glances and show the shock in each other's eyes. There was so much that they didn't know about.

Obviously, even the Ancient Families weren't clear about this situation as much as Max was.

"Is this Heavenly Demon, Vaccaria really that strong?" Lorenz Lord asked as he started at Max with an utmost serious face.

"I really don't know how strong he is. But he has remain undefeated through the Ancient times.." Max wasn't lying when he said that, Vaccaria was never defeated and only sealed and no one had done it alone on their own.

The three sighed, but there seemed to be a new conviction in their eyes. It seemed they would be starting to move their rusty bodies and search for breakthroughs with the danger approaching them.

"I heard you booked tickets to Trinity?" His grandfather suddenly asked.

"Yes," Max really didn't know just how he knew it. Was the old man spying on him?

"They don't want me to be a part of the Competition and had arranged some different way to test me.." Seeing that they were staring at him for more details, he didn't have any option but to helplessly reply.

"In that case take Elly with you. I was about to sent her to Trinity the day after tomorrow as well. She has her Aunt there and the next competitions are also happening there. So, I was thinking to let her have some fun." Lorenz Lord said with a smile while Max's face twitched.

He wanted to refuse but seeing his grandfather staring at him with a face that said 'Don't you refuse, you got yourself into this.' Max could only nod. He would just leaver her at her Aunt's place. It wasn't a big deal to travel together anyway and he was sure that Elly would understand his situation.

"Are you sure you had planned it from before ,Lorenz?" Lisa's grandfather asked while staring at Lorenz Lord with a piercing gaze.

"What do you mean by that, Walker?" Lorenz Lord asked with a smile as sparks began to fly between their eyes.

It seemed that the Lisa and Elly had left the job to fight for Max to their grandfathers and Max definitely wasn't loving it.

Max returned to his room and spend the rest of the day lazing around with Lilly while watching the competition. It seemed the leaders of different Academies had met to discuss about the situation with the Commanding beast.

They obviously wanted deal with it. It would allow them peace because living in a constant fear of when that disaster would hit them was really terrifying.

And it seemed that another small group, this time from Trinity who had gone out on a hunt were unlucky and wiped out.

The Commanding Beast had attack them in broad day light. It really made people speechless, it was a nocturnal beast. It was obvious that it was really pissed at the humans and wouldn't stay silent until wiping them all out.

The one who was currently leading Arcane was Lear while Axel was taking the lead in planning with Mark supporting him.

On the other hand, Wilson and August were the two canons for them. The two were not any weaker than the top ranked celestials. And then there was still rest of the guys. It definitely made Arcane stronger then most others if you remove the fact that they were newly formed last moment team and hadn't been trained much in team tactics for the Competition.

But if one were asked to real fighting experience then they probably were at the top.

"Brother! Close it! You promised to only play with me today!" Lilly shook Max's hand and he immediately switched off the television while begging for forgiveness from the little princess.

And then time flew by as the two began to ran amok in the room and Max didn't even realized when it was evening.

"Brother, you said you would find Mommy and Daddy. How much more do I need to wait?" Lilly suddenly asked looking at Max and he couldn't help but freeze lacking any answer to that. He wanted to let her see Mom but he couldn't bring people inside his Spirit World at his will. As for Dad, he didn't have any idea where he was.

'You want to bring her in?' Andriel's voice suddenly rang in his mind.

'Yeah, but with Sera still not gaining proper control of her powers, its difficult to do so.." Max shook his head.

'Did you forget that now this place belongs to me as much as it belongs to Sera?" Andriel asked with a smile and Max finally realized it as well.

If Sera couldn't do it then he just need to get Andriel's help.

'I will open up a space for her.' She said with happily.

Max looked at Lilly and smile in excitement, "Do you want to meet Mom?"

"Yes!" Lilly nodded her little head while looking at Max with her puppy like eyes.

"OK then! But you have to promise me to keep it a secret. No one other than us, should know about it.." Max asked as he stretched out his pinky towards her and Lilly hurriedly hooked her pinky on Max's as if afraid that he would retract it.

Max laughed seeing her reaction before speaking, "Let's go and meet mom.."

And with that the two disappeared leaving behind the room in silence.

"Woah!! Where is this place?!! Its so beautiful brother!!" Lilly couldn't help but ran around with shock and surprised all over her little face.

"Max!!!" And as soon as Max entered the place, a girl leading two group of Shadow Leopards came running towards him as usual.

"Aahhh!!" Lilly immediately climbed onto Max when she saw the two menacing looking beast approach.

"Don't worry, they wouldn't do anything…" Max smiled as his rubbed One's forehead making it whimper in joy.

Lilly looked at the scene with hesitation before stretching her handover Thrice's forehead and when it did the same, she jumped down from Max with her fear running away. And the next instant, she began treating it like a house pet.

She really had the guts. After all, she even dared to play with the Spirit Snake which looked much more menacing then Shadow Leopards.

"Who is she Max?" Sera asked while hugging Max.

"She is my little sister. Be nice to her, will you?" Max asked her with a smile.

"Leave it to me. Your little sister means my little sister!" Sera patted her chest before walking towards Lilly.

Max looked at the two in interest but even after waiting for a while, he only saw Sera standing there looking at Lilly play with the two beasts.

It was only a minute later that he realized that she was having a hard time starting a conversation. It was the first time she was talking to someone younger then her after all.

As Max was about to step in, Andriel came and did it for him.

It only took a minute before the two were introduced and with Lilly being the sweet little girl she was, it only took a moment before the two were running around together.

Sera seemed pretty happy to have someone younger than her finally. The group of beast's were technically younger than her but they matured pretty fast due to their abnormal growth after coming into contact with Sera.

"The kids are playing, how about we find some time to play as well?" Andriel said with flirtatious smile as she leaned on Max and slid her fingers across his chest.

"I still haven't recovered from last night's trial. Please spare me miss.." Max clasped his hands before her and stood and beckoning the two girls in the distance, "Come here Lilly, we are about to go see mom.."

Andriel smiled at him while shaking her head before getting up as well. She then grasped Max's palm with a blissful face as they headed towards Lithiya's bamboo hut along with their whole squad.
