"What is this?" August was surprised when he saw the screen popping out in front of him. It was really shocking and he even involuntarily backed away a bit after being startled by it.
"Well…" Max basically explain what it meant to him.
"So, it can tell whether I am being truly sincere or not?"
"Yeah, it will fail if you have something else in your heart." Max replied with a smile.
"Hmmn…its not a problem. I am sincere after all. Besides, as long as it can boost my strength a bit, I don't mind being a subjects of yours, only in name though..." August smiled and accepted it without any hesitation and it didn't fail.
"Its not like I am going to force you into slavery. Its just that I can keep track of you people using this." Max shook his head listening to him.

It was only now that these people realize it that something was wrong here.
Max sighed and explained to them what was going on. But he refrained himself from sharing much detail about the mission and just said that he didn't know what the mission was for now.
There was two reason for it. First, it wasn't going to be of any help to them and would only give them another think to feel tensed about. Secondly, he obviously didn't want August to know about it. After all, there was chance that he would want to go after the Dark Society as well and investigate his brother's disappearance.

If they managed to win on their own, Max would really have more spots left and would be able to send even more people to the Ancestral grounds. Bahamut had been telling him that there were few people who had managed to catch his eyes, may be it was time to raise some of them to become strong pillars for their organization.

And now that Max was out of the competition, he was planning to get in touch with Bahamut and get their mercenary group to join on his mission.
Their first step for Max to become famous was done and now Max had to officially join the group under public eye.
The next thing he wanted to do was, let their mercenary group play a major role in the operation to wipe the Dark Society and that would surely provided them with enough fame to be recognized all over the continent.
"You guys should rest, its your turn tomorrow and it is going to be hectic with the commanding beast running all over.." Max said as he looked at everyone and the group slowly dispersed.
…
The next day arrived…
The situation within the competition ground was pretty tensed. The night had really been a terrifying one and aside from the people who were initially wiped out by the commanding beast, the group of students from Blue City Academy had been unlucky.
There group had run into the Commanding Beast.
It was a total disaster, aside from a small group of five students who were above average in terms of strength were able to retreat in lead of Xenon Frost, the Celestial from Frost House.
The rest were gone, all wiped out.
Aside from that, two survivors from Orca had come across the students from Trinity and were eliminated by them.
A single day has changed the game and eliminated a great fraction of students who had participated in the competition with Max being the biggest upset of last night.
People were trolling the Celestials now that even if they had a tenth of Max's ability and were able to properly support him, the situation would have been under control right now.

Max's popularity had really shot through the roof.
First he had killed Victor, then turned out to be a Noble from Edwinson House and now his display of strength..
His story was being circulated all over the Internet and he had been in controversies continuously. This had really worked in his favor to attract attention from all over.
"Well then, its time for us to leave.." August said and the rest waved their hands at Max. The Headmaster was still missing and Instructor Strong had replaced him to lead the students.
From what August had told him, it seemed that Headmaster as well as the ones close to him in his generation were all out their planning something and it was definitely related to the disappearance of August's brother.
As these people left, Max left the Academy as well heading to meet their Mercenary Group's headquarter.
….
Mercenary District, Capital.
This place was where all the Mercenary Groups had established themselves and would accepts missions or quests. Usually, Mages weren't found among these groups but here in Capital that wasn't so. Most of these groups were run by powerful Mages and none were weak.
From what he had heard, the top three groups seem to have Supreme Tier Mage at their core supporting them. One could imagine just how strong they were.
Max looked around the place a bit before finally finding a wooden sign representing their Demon Slayer group. The name still made his face churn in a weird manner.
Bahamut really couldn't have been any more direct.
When Max entered the place, he was already in a get up which hadn't been brought out for a long time.
It was his Avatar of Shura.
After all, that was how Max had registered himself with the group.
As soon as Max entered the place, he saw quiet a few people around and most of them seemed like group members to him. Bahamut had really managed to do a magic in such a short time and the progress was defying the logic.
Who could tell this group was just formed recently?
Max looked around the place and it was definitely top tier not lacking to to the Top groups around. Soon, a lady arrived in front of Max and he identified her as one of Bahamut's follower and she led him up to the floor above.
When Max arrived there, he saw Bahamut on the couch sipping on a hot cup of milk while the two people around him, who were also his followers were busy sorting out the mountains of paperwork.
"You are finally here.." Bahamut looked at Max with a smile. He had heard from Max about his plans to make their groups name to be heard through the entire continent and he was really interested on further discussing on the topic.
