The Ancient Genes Chapter 508

"Boom!"
Flames exploded and a wave of destruction accompanied as the building which Axel was standing on began to fall.
"Tsk.." Axel clicked his tongue as he put his feet on the railing and jumped off while passing through cloud of fire. It cause him burns all over but that what infuriated him the most was his invisible cloak being burned.
As Axel fell towards the ground, he aimed his gun at the flaming Avatar.
"Grr!"
The barrels of the gun began to roll and bullets began to flew out rapidly.
Erina used the flame avatar and put forward her shield as she raised her flames to her maximum output hoping to let Axel run out of bullets as such rapid firing definitely had to have a limit.
Axel completely saw through her ploy but didn't stop firing and instead used the bullets as a cover to put up a good distance between them.
Why?
Because the moment he got caught, it would be game over for him.
When he felt the distance was enough, he stopped firing to preserve his ammunition.
But the moment Erina Erina tried to withdraw her shield, he would fire again and stop her in her tracks.
Erina grounded her teeth in anger. She knew the guy was deliberately doing that and wasting her time. But she couldn't just ignore him and go towards Wilson. After all, he needed only one right shot to send her out…she had seen those black rune bullets which could completely avoid the mana barrier….it was really dangerous...but the fact that he wasn't using those meant that either he didn't have them or probably wasn't willing to use it right now.
In any case, it was too dangerous…
At this moment, Axel suddenly withdrew his aim and his weapons changed back to its original shape as he turned around to leave.

"Where are you going?'' Erina couldn't help but ask in surprise.
"I can't beat you…" Axel replied calmly but to his surprise, Erina followed after him.
"Why are you following me?" Axel frowned as he pointed his rifle at her.
Erina immediately raised her first engulfed in flames to defend.
"You are leaving me because you no longer need to block me, right?" Erina asked as she looked at him, "In that case, I won't find Wilson even if I went in that direction…"
"That has nothing to do with me…" Axel replied.
"But I think you can definitely lead me to him...." Erina said as she observed him, "You are from Arcane, aren't you?"
'Crap! She found out!' Axel felt a bit of pressure now. He definitely was afraid of her revenge.
"It was because of Wilson that you saved me, right?"
"I have no idea what you are talking about….besides, I thought we were going to be strangers from now. So, don't follow me..." Axel said calmly as he looked at her and then turned around to leave while still keeping his guard up.
"Do you want my father and Wilson to know that we kissed and that I am going crazy in your love..."
Axel paused and his face twitched. He turned around with a vein popping out of his neck.
This ungrateful girl….
Even though he helped her swallow the medicine, she was labeling it as a kiss and love his ass...she was clearly blackmailing him to take her to Wilson...
How did he forget that the two siblings had the same blood running in them?
"So, what after that? Do you want me to ask them for your hand in marriage, babe?" Axel knew this girl was prideful and definitely wouldn't tell anyone about it.

But, the blood running through her vein was exactly the same crazy one which Wilson had. He wasn't willing to take any risk. He had to carefully handle this...and make sure that he wouldn't face any kind of problem in future….
Erina's expression turned a bit dark, but she held onto it.
"Do you have the guts…I bet they will do something to you in order to separate us...I can't even think of a life without you.." Her eyes had a menacing look in them as she tried to threaten him.
"Do you think I am afraid of your father?" Axel asked with a smile while snorting inwardly, 'Girl, I am your Daddy at this…'
"But before that, don't you need to confront your brother about it? To tell you the truth...I am actually into 2D stuff and your brother knows it well….no matter what you say, he won't believe that I would be the one to initiate anything not to mention, I am way weaker than you too…" Axel said calmly, not a least bit embarrassed at all.
"So, how are you going to tell him that you seduced someone younger than you and had a little heated event with this younger guy who actually turned out to be his best friend." Axel asked with a smile.
"What do you mean heated?!! It was just you helping me swallow the medicine because I was paralyzed, there wasn't any other option….so don't exaggerate it...'' Erina finally could't tolerate him and retorted with an infuriated look on her face.
"That's right...that is what it was...you better not try to get ahead with me...because I have just recorded it…" Axel said as he pulled out his phone. This guy actually had brought his phone in here.
"I have the proof now….so you better get lost. I am no longer afraid of your threats." Axel smiled as he looked at her with a smug face, "Go ahead and do what you want...but I guarantee that it won't end well for you…"
Erina's face had turned extremely ugly but she refused to give up and kept following him.
"Goddamnit!! Axel started to get angry and they once again started their struggle and began fighting each other.
The two didn't have an idea just how much of a commotion they had caused a few moments ago…
…..
A few minutes earlier…..
The main broadcast of the Competition which was running across the whole continent changed scenes and two figures appeared.
Yup, it was Erina and Axel…
They seemed to be engaged in some conversation…
"Do you want my father and Wilson to know that we kissed and that I am going crazy in your love..."
"So, what after that? Do you want me to ask them for your hand in marriage, babe?"
"Do you have the guts…I bet they will do something to you in order to separate us...I can't even think of a life without you..."
"Do you think I am afraid of your father?"
And the scene changed again. The broadcasters seemed to have realised the problem and didn't dare show anymore.
But the damage was done….
