Axel cursed inwardly when he heard the announcement. He knew that they were going to have it coming today.

The only thing that made him feel a bit relieved was that it was the third day. They only needed to hold on for today and from tomorrow, everyone would be in the same boat.

'I need to get out of here first…' Axel muttered inwardly.

He was hiding underneath one of his formations while keeping an eye on the lair of the Beast Lord.

It turned out to be a Rock Golem. Creatures like golems made up solely of a single element were equivalent to Healers and Beast Tamers among Mages. They were very rare…

Even Max who had pretended to be a Nature Element user only succeeded because people assumed the Fire Phoenix to be another rare Elemental mana beast...

Even though this creature was only a low 3★ Savage Beast….it could still rival the Human Faced Spider with its absurdly strong defense.

Axel slowly inched towards the exit while holding his breath. He didn't want to take any chances. One shouldn't mess with the elemental beasts…

After Axel got out of the lair, he carefully avoided the beast running around trying to find the intruder and slowly made his way towards the place where he was supposed to meet Eren.

But there was no one waiting for him there...

Axel frowned when he failed to see Eren around. He immediately took out a pair of headphones from his pouch and wore it.

He then poured his mana into it as an emerald colored runes lit up on the headphones.

The sounds reaching his ear suddenly seemed to have amplified a lot and he could hear a lot of things.

This was Axel's original product inspired by Max and funded by Bahamut.

It was still a prototypes and currently had a lot of limitations. One had to be a 4★ Formation Master to use it and it consumed a lot of mana.

Bahamut had planned to mass-produce it and get a stable source of income belonging to their very own group and not from their families..

But it still needed a lot of work before entering the market...

He could hear the sound of weapons clashing in the distance. When he looked around carefully, Axel noticed that the ground was wet and there were signs of battle around.

It was clear that Eren got into trouble...

Axel immediately dashed towards the place where the sounds were coming from.

If it was beasts, then Axel wasn't worried that much but if it was another Academy then that would be troublesome.

As Axel closed in, his face turned dark and anger rose within his heart.

There were two students of Ocien attacking Eren who was already covered in injuries and was being forced to retreat.

These two students from Ocien were sent ahead of time to keep a lookout on the area of the raid and ended up meeting with Eren. One of them was Zeld whom Axel and Max had met earlier while the other was unknown. But this unknown guy sure didn't hide his hostility towards Eren…

Eren was pretty sure to have never met that guy. It could only mean that he was giving him an eye because of the Arcane logo on his chest.

A few minutes later, the announcement was made….

Such situations called for independent decisions….

The guy who had been hostile from the start immediately sneaked an attack on Eren.

Eren couldn't react in time. It was too fast as if the guy was waiting for an opportunity to strike.

It seemed that the guy who attacked didn't even contemplate a bit. As soon as he knew that he could attack, he just did without caring about their collaboration..

Zeld was shocked at his companion's action because he knew Erina wouldn't like this….

The hostile guy looked at Zeld and persuaded him within a few words.

There was no option for Zeld. His companion had made the move and it couldn't be undone.

Not to mention, the collaboration with Arcane was done for. Most of the Academies would be out on a hunt for them since they had offended a lot of people….it would be a disaster if they led them to this place…

Eren was struggling against the two. Both of the guys were Advance Tier and seemed strong.

Zeld was already as strong as him, there was no way for Eren...to take another guy while fighting him at the same time.

At this moment, a gunshot rang and Zeld and his companion immediately backed away from Eren to look at the new guy who had interfered in their fight.

It was Axel who was covered in a black cloak with his handgun pointed at the duo.

Eren immediately moved towards Axel's side and whispered, ''We should retreat...I am injured. We can't take them on…''

"No..I will at least kill one or should I say kick one out.." Axel said calmly but those who knew him well would be aware that Axel was pissed.

«Axel: Collaboration with Ocien is over….kill these b*stards at sight...»

Axel didn't care about someone's brotherly feelings at this moment.

Erina was ungrateful, now this Zeld whom they helped too...even if they were ungrateful, it was one thing… but biting the hands that fed them...

Axel wasn't kind enough for this sh*t….

"Bullets?'' The hostile guy said with a laugh.

Zelda looked at the new figured and recognized Axel.

He never heard anyone using guns...but the one of the guys who had saved them yesterday indeed was a gun user.

He was overcome with guilt. It didn't feel right and seemed to be a despicable act. But he couldn't do anything about it at this moment..

"Let me deal with him….you handle the other one…" the hostile guy said to Zeld as he rushed towards Axel.

"We should leave...don't be foolish…" Eren tried to persuade Axel.

"Hold on for one minute, then we will leave…"

Eren didn't know what Axel would do in one minute. But one minute definitely was within his limit.

He immediately moved away from Axel, drawing Zeld away. But his eyes still continued to glance at Axel who definitely wasn't a match for his opponent.

Eren could defeat Axel with a single hand in a head on fight, he didn't know from where Axel, a Formation Master found so much confidence...he just hoped Axel wasn't delusional…

"Bang!"

Axel shot and missed as the guy dodged.

"Bang!" "Bang!"

This time two continuous shots rang out, the two bullets curved from both sides but the guy deflected the two bullets with his sword toward either of his sides.

"Bang!"

Miss!

"Bang!"

Deflected!

By this time, the guy was already in front of Axel and his sword was piercing towards Axel's throat.

At this moment, Axel's other hand which was hidden under the cloak came out.

When the guy saw a grenade coupled with a smile on Axel's face, his heart leaped in fear and he immediately backed away fearing that Axel was planning a suicide attack.

But to his surprise, Axel didn't do anything with the grenade.

"Game over…"

With those words, Axel aimed the gun on the ground and shot once again.

"Bang!"

The guy who had no idea what was going on finally realised something. All the bullets that had missed him seem to have formed a circle around him and began to glow.

He immediately tried to flee feeling a threat but his legs were stuck. When he looked below, he saw that his body was slowly petrifying.

He finally realised that the guy in front of him was a freak. To deploy a formation of this level with such ease even if it was degrade version of the original, the person must be nearing the 7★ Formation Master category…

Zeld saw that his companion was in trouble but before he could move to help, an axe hacked down on him as Eren's joyful laughter rang out.

"Let's go, one minute is up…" Axel looked towards Eren and threw the grenade towards the half-petrified guy.

When the half-petrified guy saw the grenade perfectly roll down between his legs, his face turned pale.

"I forfei-"

"Boom!"

The guy's voice which seemed to be saying something was drowned in the explosion.

Zeld and Eren separated after the explosion occurred.

Zeld was looking warily at Axel as if facing a dangerous enemy.

"Let's take this guy down as well.." Eren whispered to Axel.

Axel looked at Zeld and spoke with a cold voice, "Tell her that she better hide herself…"

With that Axel turned around and urged Eren to follow him while still keeping his guard up.

After they had travelled a safe distance, Eren couldn't help but ask, "Why didn't you help me? You are so strong...we could have kicked that guy as well.."

"Do you know how hard it is to engrave those high level formations in the bullets? I don't have any more of it…and a few premium ones are for saving my life in time of need how can I use it on them..." Axel retorted.

"I can't believe I ended up using my precious petrifying bullets on a loser…." He was still lamenting for giving into his anger.

"Don't be so stingy…" Eren said as he looked at him.

"Stingy my ass….not to mention, he has already seen how I operate...he wouldn't fall for the same trick….it would be us who would be at a disadvantage with you injured…..so lets run before that guy changes his mind to pursue us.." Axel said as the two moved towards their temporary base near the dome.
