Max looked at the message and smiled. It was finally done. He was eager to see how much his strength had improved and what new functions would be unlocked.

«Seeking Permission to Activate Dimension Link?»

Max obviously had no idea what this thing was. He just gave it a nod and let it proceed.

'Activate….'

And the next moment, he really regretted it.

The Ancient Manual began to revolve around his body. The flow energy which had been liquified inside Max's body began to be sucked at a rapid rate.

Max felt an intense pain throughout his body. It was at least a few dozen times stronger than the pain he had once experienced to get rid of the system in the Trial of God.

At this moment, the nano runes on Max's soul were being altered.

This movie hall was the worst place for Max to be in the current situation, he couldn't even scream at the moment.

He gritted his teeth and endured the pain while using the spirit energy to clear the dizziness and prevent himself from fainting.

Max really was angry. There should have been a warning along with the notification. If he knew, he would have prepared himself well!!

It continued for a while, Max had no idea how much time had passed. But he felt that it had been centuries….

The pain slowly started to subside and Max felt the strength of his entire body being drained. He couldn't even move his body. His spirit energy was exhausted trying to keep himself conscious.

Elly looked at Max as she felt something was wrong. She had a keen perception after all.

"Is something wrong?" She whispered to him.

'Leave me alone….' Max muttered inwardly. He didn't even have any strength to open his mouth.

'I will just pretend to be asleep…' Max thought, no...more like he didn't have any other option.

Elly saw that he didn't reply. She wasn't the type to be butting into other people's business. But she had always believed in her instincts and today, she felt something was wrong for a second.

She hesitated for a second before grabbing Max's arms and giving it a tug to grab his attention.

'Shit!'

Max cursed inwardly as his body tilted towards the side. His arms pressed against Elly's arms and his head fell on her shoulder.

He knew that it was going to be one hell of a night today. If Elly pushed him aside, he would definitely fall to the ground...and then he could imagine the trouble…

"What are you doing?" Elly looked at him with a frown.

She could hear him breathing and she could even feel the warmth of his breath on her.

'Is this guy sleeping?' Elly looked at him in bewilderment.

Elly didn't push Max away but tried to position him back onto his seat. She was a nice person and Max breathed in relief seeing her actions.

But…

Max's body suddenly tilted towards the other side and he fell onto the lady's shoulder who was sitting on the other side.

The lady was horrified and as she was about to scream, Elly immediately stood up and apologized, "I am sorry miss, he just fell asleep. It wasn't intentional…"

"Hey!! Seat down!!"

"Why are you standing up?!!''

Her action immediately pissed people off.

Elly apologised to everyone and took Max off of the lady's shoulder and in the end reluctantly gave her shoulder for him to sleep.

''How can he not wake up even after this?" Elly looked at him and sighed.

'I am sorry…will definitely make it up one day…' Max could only sigh as he quietly laid down on her shoulder as her sweet fragrance wafted his nose.

'What kind of perfume is this? She really smells nice…' Max muttered inwardly.

"What kind of perfume is this? He really smells nice…" Elly muttered as she looked at Max. At this close distance it was natural for her to be able to smell him...

Max was speechless after hearing that. They were really thinking the same thing.

"Is he the key to my problems?" Elly muttered as she looked at Max.

'What is she talking about? Problems?'

"I wonder how he changed himself….will he tell me if I ask? But we are just acquaintances….can I even ask?" Elly contemplated looking at him.

The old man had clearly pointed her the way and she felt that if she could find out how Max changed himself, she might realise something as well…

"He really is sleeping well, can I sleep peacefully one day too…." Elly sighed as she closed her eyes.

'Umn…I heard something...which I probably shouldn't have….if I am not wrong...she has been pretty disturbed since last night...did the old man's test do something?' Max felt a bit disturbed now. Especially after she had helped him....

Anyway, she had stopped talking. Max didn't have anything else to do, hence he decided to take a look at the system.

Max was also surprised to see that his spirit snake had evolved. It had become an Emperor Cobra.

Water cobra originally was just a mid-grade Ferocious Beast but now it had evolved into a Mid grade Savage Beast.

Max knew that with the spirit energy, the creature would be stronger than an ordinary beast. It was certainly going to be helpful to Max.

'I can break through the 3rd layer of Spirit Art at the next effort…it isn't a surprise that it evolved….I must buy a few more Beast Cores...I am running out of stock…' Max muttered inwardly. Earlier he didn't have much money but now his pockets were full. Even if it isn't Orena, he can still get beast cores of higher grade.

'Let's have a look at my stats…' Max was interested in seeing his stats now and hence commanded the system.

Even though it was written orange, Max could clearly see the orb below. It was less orange and more yellow.

It seemed that if he broke through the 3rd Layer of Spirit Arts, it would totally turn yellow and would have a qualitative change.

'What about flow energy? Which grade of flow energy do I possess?'

Max could clearly see that flow energy was a bit inferior to spirit energy even though both were first grade energies…

'It's good that I have both….I wonder where the Demonic energy lies…' Max thought inwardly. He was sure that he hadn't come into contact with any demonic energy which was of first grade until now.

After all, if they too had first grade energy, they should be able to sense Max's spirit energy as well. But it was clear that there wasn't a single person who did.

Max felt that the way Primal Humans had vanished through the passage of time, the demons of the Ancient era who had cultivated in the first grade energy had disappeared as well….

'There is no use in thinking about it. If they exist, I will eventually come across them…'

'System, show me the new functions….'

As soon as Max said that, Max was taken to the screen where his followers were being displayed.

A separate Follower tab had been unlocked.

Aside from that, there was one more new tab called SHOP.

Max opened the shop tab only to see three divisions namely Techniques, Manual, Blueprints.

And all the three boxes were empty. There was only a small transparent orb floating in front of the window screen.

'What the hell is this?' Max frowned as he looked at it.

It was turning to be more like a video game….but he didn't think there was any kind of currency that he received from the system and neither was there any any visible for him to purchase….

'This system isn't stupid like the previous one….there must be some logic behind it…'

'System, explain this thing..' Max commanded.

Max realised that this was probably going to be a game-changer for them. This could be used to greatly boost their strength and build their forces.

'How do I use this?' Max asked the system.

«The orb floating near the screen can be used to transfer energy and open the portal for the transfer of information… Generally the amount of energy required for text materials are not that high….but due to the dimensional transfer….the amount of energy required for transfers has been drastically increased. Every item will require 10,000 times more energy for transfer than they did in the upper dimension…"

'Energy?' Max frowned.

'You are asking me to sacrifice my growth in exchange for items? Not to mention 10,000 times more….' Max felt a headache. All his happiness was gone and he shook his head.

He had to try it once to know. But he had a feeling that it might not be worth it.
