"It's time to return, miss…" Max said as he looked at Elly.

Elly nodded her head and got up to leave. Even if Max's status was increased, he still couldn't escape the punishment…

Janet and her mom tried to keep them until the Welcoming party two days later but obviously that was too much for Elly who seemed to be struggling after the test.

She just wanted to find some peace first...

As for Lilly, Max had to put a lot of effort to coax her and after promising her that he would be dropping by everyday...she relented…

He left his spirit snake with her to be her playmate and guardian and asked Janet to look after her and registered her transmitter codes….

"You don't have a house?" Elly asked, looking at Lisa. She was following them back to Lorenz Mansion.

"You are letting her stay, why can't I stay too?" Lisa said with a pout.

"You stayed out last night and then you want to stay with us for a few days...isn't your father going to be troubled?" Aria asked after a bit of hesitation.

"It's fine...its fine...I have it under control.." Lisa said with a confident look. She had contacted her grandpa for permission and he just allowed it knowing Max was with her….after all, with his informants...it only took him a few minutes to know that there were two beauties within the mansion…

It was better for Lisa to be near Max and keep a watch on him...after all, there were times when stuff happens…..he was young once too...so he knew about it from his exper….I mean friends...he heard from his friends…

Only if the old man knew that his granddaughter had plans to push her friend towards her own fiance...that would have definitely been a sight to see…

He surely would have lost hope in the world and would have suicidal thoughts…..after all just what kind of deed could he have done in his past life to receive such a foolish granddaughter….

"I have some important work...since I did overtime last week caring for your friend…Young miss, would surely won't mind giving me a leave today, right?" Max asked with a smile.

Elly looked at him and just granted him a leave. Besides, he really did help Aria…

On the other hand, Aria was left fuming when he exchanged his act of helping her for a day of leave….

With that, Max left and headed for Academy in a good mood.

But he bumped into a familiar figure on the way towards Axel's dormitory.

The girl was head shorter than Max and wore a sleeveless dress. She had a weak looking frame, delicate might be a better word to describe her beauty. ..

But it didn't affect Max, thanks to Andrie..l his resistance has been maxed out.

And even though she was beautiful, it was still not on the level of the Young noisy ladies that he had to serve...

And the main point, she was Axel's new girlfriend, Beli…

"You are going to meet Axel as well?" Max asked.

"En.." The girl just nodded her head as she looked at Max.

"..."

Max felt a bit weird at the awkward silence. She even kept staring at him….

"Shall we go then?" Max said as he put on a fake smile.

He had already received confirmation from Axel to come now..and others were coming too...it wasn't a good idea for this girl to be there though, since she was going to be an opponent in the competition…

A few minutes later, they reached Axel's Dorm..

When they entered the place, a few people had already arrived.

Max saw Kevin eating chips, Wilson doing pushups in the corner, Lear and Axel were the only one who were discussing something.

Aside from them, Eren was present in the room too. Max was indeed surprised to see the guy here….

"Boss!" Eren immediately stood up noticing Max entering the room.

Max gave him a strange look.

'When did I become a boss?'

He didn't know that behind his back, Eren had formed a fan club. It included mostly the commoner who hated the Noble or the people who just admired Max.

Even Max wasn't aware of how much influence he currently had over the students….

The fight which occurred last time showed much more to the commoner students. Both Eren and Mark who were popular among the commoner students stood behind Max...even a few nobles took his side….at end of all of it...Max had escaped without much of a severe punishment...he was a person to be feared…the minor novels had toned down after the incident...

"Why are you here?" Max asked, looking at him.

"I shifted over along with some better fellows to help Boss out when Axel asked for help…" Eren said with a smile.

Max remembered the headmaster telling them to rope other students if possible….well it turned out Axel did a job...but to think that they would shift over from Orca to a miserable Arcane just for helping him out….

"You two are here…great…" Axel said as he looked at the two new people.

"Where is the washroom?" Bell asked and Axel pointed towards the bathroom.

Max sat beside them and asked Axel, "You roped your girlfriend in as well?"

"Not exactly, she was the one who wanted to come in…" Axel replied with a smile.

"She really fell hard in love in such a short amount of time…" Lear said with a hidden meaning in his words.

"You think she is a spy? Well, it makes sense since she appeared after the dates were announced…." Axel said after thinking a bit.

"Why would someone spy a weak academy like us? We aren't even worth it…" Max said as he shook his head.

"Well, normally I would think like that...but both you and Wilson went out with a blast during the battle in the Academy….I won't be surprised if they really send someone…not to mention the scale and rewards of the completion is terrifying.....everyone is gunning for victories....it won't be a surprised if they try some underhanded method." Lear said as he contemplated a bit.

"What do you think?" Max asked Axel.

"I don't think so….we only talk about ourselves and normal stuff...when we go out occasionally..."

"Well, if you are so sure...then I will leave it in your hands…" Max said with a smile and then looked at Kevin.

"Why is he here? I thought he transferred to Orca…." Max asked as he looked at Axel. Not like he cared though, Kevin will be Kevin...even if he was here...Max was sure that it wouldn't be any problem...he was a nice guy after all...

Axel revealed an awkward smile as he replied, "The day we fought, he transferred back...and has been staying here since then…."

Max smiled as he looked at fatty. This guy... But when he saw him stuffing his entire hand full of chips inside his mouth….all of the feelings started to slip out…

"Anyway, we are back to how we used to be…only August is missing…" Max said with a smile.

The last time he saw him was when he fell through the back of the vehicle deep into the ravine.

"I would surely like to see that guy now…." Wilson said as lightning crackled around him. He was confident in beating the guy now.

"Achoo!"

"Which b*stard is cursing me?" A guy said as he walked out of the station carrying a bag on his shoulder. A strong bloody aura surrounded his body.

"Little Master, please don't walk off your own like that.." A middle aged man hurried behind him.

"Shut up! I can't believe they sent me away from the front lines to join the Academy Competitions…" The guy clenched his fist with anger in his eyes as an intense killing aura burst out of his body making people run fearing for their lives.

"Little Master, please control...this is not the battlefield…." The middle-aged man immediately tried to pacify his anger.

"Tsk...Lets go…"
