The Ancient Genes Chapter 374

The situation in the room was a bit awkward. Lisa and Janet looked at Aria clearly amazed how bold she was.
On the other side, Elly continued to observe the scene with a slight smile on her face while Aria's mood didn't seem to be good.
At this moment, the door opened and a lady entered the room with a little girl hiding behind her.
"Mom…" Janet looked at her with a smile when she noticed that Lilly was behind her as well.
"How are you girl's?" She asked looking at the group.
The girls smiled as they greeted her and exchanged pleasantries.
"Come out, Lilly introduce yourself…" She turned her head to look at the little girl with a smile.
Lilly had been very quiet these past few days and she couldn't cheer her up. Since the girl's were all here, she decided to bring her in hopes of cheering her up a bit.
"Oh..Who is this little beauty?" Aria immediately broke out in a smile as she looked at her.
"I am Lilly…" Lilly timidly replied. The usual cheerfulness was no longer seen on her face.
Janet's Mom felt her heartache seeing her like that.
Elly looked at the Aunt's face and then glanced at Janet whose face seemed to have a hint of sadness as well.
Well, it was a family matter….she couldn't be interfering.
Other than her no one seemed to have paid any attention to it as they all had their attention grasped away by the little beauty.
"So cute!" Lisa could help but exclaim.
Janet lifted Lilly and brought her by their side while her mom left letting them enjoy.
"She is my little cousin from my Youngest Uncle…" Janet said.
With Janet in the room, the conversation immediately switched without them realising it.
"Is she the one that people have been talking about?" Aria asked with surprise. It was no surprise, that little girl had awakened as a strong variant at a very early age.
"Yeah, she is the one…" Janet replied with a smile.

"You must become strong then....don't waste your talent, unlike some people." Aria said as she glanced at the trio.
Elly acted as if she didn't hear anything, Lisa looked at her with a slight smile while Janet turned her head awkwardly.
"Can I see Mom, Dad, and brother if I become strong?"
Suddenly a weak voice entered everyone's ear and they turned their head to look at Lilly. There seemed to be tears in her eyes.
Everyone looked at Janet. They didn't know what this was all about.
Janet's face contorted in pain looking at the little girl, she wrapped her arms around Lilly and brought her under her embrace.
"Sis, where...sniff..did mom and...sniff...dad left to? When are...they coming back?"
"They will be back soon, don't cry Lilly…" Janet couldn't only say those words. She knew that her Aunt Lithiya was exiled as for her Uncle, there were some rumours about his disappearance. People said that he chose his wife over the family and ran away with her….
"Why don't we play a little game?"
Those words came from the most unexpected person in the room, Elly.
"Come here, little girl…" Elly revealed an unusual smile on her beautiful face as she approached Elly and crouched beside the couch as she entered the same line of vision as the little girl.
Lilly turned her head to look at the girl staring straight into her eyes. Her eyes were filled with affection with a hint of sadness which gave her a familiar feeling.
It was just like her brother's…..
When people have experienced similar things, there seem to be some resemblance among them… a very simple example is how most of the nobles have an air of elegance around them….
Obviously, Max had changed a lot since then….but Lilly had never met Max after that….
Lilly got out of Janet's arm and jumped toward Elly wrapping her around her surprising everyone even Elly herself.
''When did she become so sweet?'' Lisa looked at Janet as they began to whisper.

''Who knows? She might be acting…'' Janet replied.
''I am really surprised she knows how to deal with kids….I would love to learn that…'' Aria said with jealousy, she too wanted to cuddle with the little girl.
"She is already thinking so far…." Lisa whispered into Janet's ear as she sighed.
"We are really no match for her…." Janet replied.
...
"These people really don't know when to give up…." Max sighed as pushed the guy, letting him fall to the ground. There was a trail of the bodies behind him.
It hadn't taken long for trouble to come to him. This was still the outer area though...
Edwinson house had its all main operation base in the capital. The territory was just as large as the Walker House and had all its branch families located in its territories.
The branches among the outer areas were obviously the weakest, how could these young people even lay a finger on Max.
"Enough of these! I don't have the whole day to take you one on one….come at once!" Max said as she swept his gaze around.
He could sense various powerful gaze locking onto him which were most likely the seniors of the family. But Max knew that they wouldn't act rash and make a move against junior especially when he was here carrying Lorenz crest on his chest.
There were exceptions obviously, they wouldn't seat back and watch Max kill their younger generation turning the place into a slaughterhouse.
"Y-You!!! Don't be so arrogant!!"
"Once the Young Lord arrives, I would like to see if you can still maintain that prideful look on his face…"
Max looked at the guy in the crowd who said those words and smiled, "Then what are you dogs here for? Go and get your master instead of blocking my path.....and you don't need to worry, I won't run….I will let you dogs see, that in front of me even your master will have to wag his tail.."
"Kill this b*stard!!!"
The young people immediately went into a frenzy and rushed after being provoked. They even began to curse...it went to the point that they even included the nine generations of his family…
Max really would love to see how this person would react when they found out that they had the same family.
As people rushed, Max didn't react. He calmly continued to walk as his fist and leg turned into divine weapons.
A single strike was enough to send three to four people soaring through the air.
Blood flew through the air. Even though Max only struck hard to immobilize them, a first or kick landing on a nose or mouth would definitely send blood spilling out.
'It feels good….' Max smiled. Even though the situation between him and his family was solved. Max wouldn't say that he had a positive feeling about them. On the contrary, it was the worst…..
Two people were seeing this scene from the distance as well….
"Should I stop him, my Lord…" the old butler asked.
"No, let him do it. These people had been too arrogant all these years. If they don't suffer a bit, it will only harm them in the long run. Besides….the future isn't looking good…."
"But, won't Young Master end up accumulating negative feelings…." The old Butler said with a bit of hesitation.
"He is already hated….what will a bit more or less do. Not to mention, he isn't a fool he knows the consequences of his action….but look at his face. He is enjoying it…."
He could only shake his head and sigh.
"Anyway, even if they don't like him, they can only swallow it in front of absolute strength…."
The old man suddenly turned this head looking in a certain direction as he spoke, "Protect him if something goes wrong...."
"Yes, my lord..." the old butler said before disappearing.

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
