The Ancient Genes Chapter 332

Max clenched his fist, even though things weren't looking good and the pressure emanating from Bayu had toned down…..it didn't help at all.
'Is it really the same guy?' Max thought as he prepared himself.
"Didn't you hear me?" Bayu asked again.
"What's with the act? Did you lose your memory or something?" Max asked as he stared at him.
"Oh...I see. Let me introduce myself, I am Evilar. One of the Heavenly Commanders….I am sure you would have heard of me…"
Max looked at him, he didn't think he had heard that name anywhere. But….Heavenly Commander, that was bad news.
They were the one leading the Heavenly Demon Army, serving directly under the Heavenly Demon Vaccaria.
Max didn't know how much truth was present there in his words. Just how did he turn into someone like that….
Besides, the Heavenly Commanders from the previous era should be dead.
Suddenly, Max felt the fluctuations behind calming down and he turned his head to see the lightning around Wislon quietly subsiding….
Wilson opened his eyes and thin threads of lightning sizzled around the side of his eyes as he looked at the scene in front of him and spoke, "He is still standing…."
Wilson took a step forward as he walked up to Max and continued, "Leave it to me, you had an urgent meeting to attend, right?''
"NO, WAI-"
Max raised his hand as he shouted, but his hand only touched the air as Wilson turned into a flash of lightning.
Max immediately turned his head ahead with grim eyes.
"Bang!"
His eyes went wide as he looked at the scene before him. Wilson's first bore into Bayu's chest and it was obvious from the shape that his ribs had been fractured from the impact.
"Crackle!"
The next moment, a bolt of lightning emerged from Bayu's back and blood flew out of his mouth as he shot out like a bullet, crashing a few meters away.

"What are you doing? I will handle it here…" Wilson said as he looked at Max with calm eyes.
It took a moment before Max finally realized it, this guy was weak.... at least for now…
'I don't know what's going on….but even though he released such a terrifying aura earlier….it seems he isn't capable of bringing that strength out….it's the best time to kill him…'
"I will help, we can't leave that guy alive…." Max said as he took a step forward.
"Are you sure about it?" Wilson asked with a calm look.
Max's obviously didn't look good, he knew that it was taking too much time. Besides, according to his grandfather her mother might have people after her…...even though things were complicated between them....this still seem to be worrying him a bit.....even he found it a bit hard to believe....
Wilson noticed Max's expression and spoke, "You can leave, I will kill that guy."
"He might have got some tricks up his sleeve…." Max replied unsure about the situation.
"Just leave, even if I can't kill him….I will make sure he wouldn't be going anywhere…."
"BOOM!"
Demonic aura exploded as Bayu once again rose up, ''This weak body and that b*stard….he is still interfering with this body…..I thought you refused to lent the kid your power….but you are adamant on stopping me….just wait, I will deal with your remnants very soon and finally make this body mine…"
He seemed to be mumbling things which Max and Wilson had a difficult time understanding.
Max still seemed hesitant. In the end, he grabbed Wilson and the next instant, a message popped up in front of Wilson…
«The Ruler seeks your allegiance….»
«Would you like to accept?»
«Yes/No»
Wilson looked at Max with wide eyes.
"I don't have time to explain, just accept it…..If you think you can't hold on, call me out in your mind…"
Wilson still didn't seem to get it. But, given the situation, he accepted it.

«Wilson Scarlet has swore allegiance to the ruler….»
'I am sorry for this Anna, but he will be your slave in reality....so it doesn't change anything…..' Max thought in his mind as he turned around flew out towards the recycling factory.
Wilson on the other hand, was still not done with the surprise, he could feel the surge in his power. He had just broken through and yet he felt like he had already crossed half the way through the initial stage.
"Huh? Where does he think he is going?" Bayu muttered as he raised his hand and black vines extended out of them but before they could even reach them, a purple bolt slashed them in mid-air.
"Who do you think you are to get in my way? You lowly being of this degenerated era…."
"Huh? I don't get what nonsense you are spouting but I am the one who will let you have the taste of the delicacy called dirt." Wilson said with a smile as he rushed ahead.
Bayu raised his hands and the demonic aura shot forward, but Wilson didn't even flinch. His arms clad in lighting, he dove straight into the chaos with a crazed look on his face.
He couldn't hide the grin and excitement on his face. He needed to let it out. He really felt that it was one of the greatest days of his life, suddenly everything seemed to have turned on the right track....
"Bang!"
Wilson released his lighting and pushed back the demonic aura as he used his hands clad in lightning to tear a path ahead.
"What a barbaric way of fighting? He really reminds me of someone…" Bayu muttered as he looked at Wilson moving towards him.
"I can't believe I am at a disadvantage against a kid….I would definitely be laughed at if this got out…."
"Sigh! This is the first thing that happens to me after coming back....well, killing him would do the work….after that, I will kid that b*stard's descendant as well….and bury the hatchet…."
Even though he was at a disadvantage, that didn't mean he would lose….don't underestimate a Heavenly Commander…
He wasn't someone to be trifled with....
...
Recycle Factory…
There were no workers in the factory, the chaos was enough to chase them away fearing for their lives….
But a single lovely figure could be seen standing there with her hands clenched and worry all over her face.
She had obviously heard the commotion outside, but father had promised to bring Max to her…...she didnt want to take any risk. If she went out and missed Max, she wouldn't know what to do….she didn't even like the idea of not being there for him again….
Suddenly, footsteps sounded in the quiet place and Lithiya's heartbeat rose. She wanted to turn around but a fear gripped her heart, what if he hated her. What if he didn't call her mother anymore?
...
Max looked at her back and several feeling welled up inside him. Even though he had imagine this situation in his mind several times, he now lacked the words to say....
'Hmmn?' He suddenly heard the sniffing noise and a noise of droplets hitting the floor.
He stood there looking at her back feeling his heart aching, 'Why are you crying? Shouldn't it be me?'
Max didn't know what kind if expression he had on his face, what he had though until now about his feeling might not be true..... but he wasn't wrong either....
He didn't like what he was seeing....that was true. But it was same for everything that had happened too.....he was unclear where he himself stood....but if that was the case, he would just go with the first thing that came to his mind...
He took a step forward and spoke, "Mom..."

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
