"Come out...its time…" the door of the vehicle opened and one by one, every person got out of it.

'So, it's finally here…' Max muttered inwardly as he looked at the sky, it was gloomy. It was already cold, and it seemed that it would be raining soon, decreasing the temperature further.

«Lear: Are you sure about it?»

A message popped up in front of Max. They had discussed it yesterday as well but Lear still seemed reluctant.

«Yeah...» Max replied, he could feel Lear's presence nearby.

Lear had thought of getting Max out when he was being transported. They could have done it with a proper plan and Bahamut was in support of it as well.

But, Max knew that doing that would affect their plans. He still wanted to give it a try, he didn't think that the Mage King would lie to him. So, in the end, they decided to wait for it….after all, even if the decision was against Max, it wouldn't be carried out immediately. It would surely increase the risk but they would still have a chance to rescue Max.

As Max walked into the Association along with the other guys, he saw a familiar figure getting out of a car and walking towards them as well.

It was Werner Ovens…

Max didn't say anything but the guy smiled as he looked at Max before passing by.

On the other side…

The Edwinson house was shocked because of the news of the Third Lady's exile.

No one had expected it, not to mention the Third master was out on a mission. People couldn't understand what was going on, even the reason behind her exile was not known….

"Mom, what's going on?" Janet rushed into her mother's chamber to see her with Lilly in the bed. She seemed to be sleeping peacefully.

"Sshh!" Janet's mother, Vitni, immediately put her finger one her lips, gesturing Janet to lower her voice.

"Mom...A-Aunt…" Janet still couldn't come to terms with it. This was too shocking…

"I know, I contacted your Dad. He will talk to father…" The lady said with a troubled face. She didn't know what face to greet the third brother with when he returned. She just couldn't understand father's thoughts at all.

'Is this what you meant, Lithiya…' The lady recalled Lithiya's word when she visited her with Lilly a short while ago.

A short while ago...

"You are here, Lithitya…." Vitni smiled as she saw Lithiya walk in her room while carrying Lilly who seemed to be asleep.

"Huh? What's with the little princess? Is this time to be asleep…." She asked as she approached her.

"Let her be, she had been exhausted after the morning practice it seems…" Lithiya replied with a sweet smile.

"Take a seat, I will get some tea…" Vitni said and was about to turn around when Lithiya stopped her.

"No, it's fine… I have to leave for some work. Can you watch over her, I am sure she will cry after not finding me around once she gets up…" Lithiya said as she looked at Lilly in her arms. She didn't know when she would get to hold her again, see her again…

"Ok, don't worry...I will take care of her…" Vitni took Lilly from Lithiya and placed her on the bed. Surprisingly, the girl didn't seem to be waking up even after so much movement.

"She is in deep sleep…" She mumbled looking at the little girl.

"What's with the worried look? Go ahead with ease, I will look after her…" Vitni further said observing Lithiya's face.

"I can really leave her to you, right?" Lithiya asked as she looked at the Elder sister in law.

"She is no different than my daughter…..you think I will do something to her?" Vitni asked with a strange face. She felt that something was wrong with Lithiya's behavior today.

"Then, I will be going… please take care of her…" Lithiya disappeared with those words.

"What's wrong with her? She again made the same request…. Do I look so irresponsible?"

'What did I do? I should have realised it….' Vitni regretted not being able to realise Lithiya's situation. She turned her head towards Lilly, 'I will take care of her until you return...I will be waiting....'

On the other side, a person was happy as well….

"Hahahah!!! Finally…..she is out…. what a great day has it been..."

It was the Second Master, Zack's older brother, Saleos Edwinson. In the current fight for successorship, he was on the losing end.

The two elders who had been standing in the room quietly seemed familiar, they were the ones who had gone after Zack. Their condition didn't look so good. They had just returned from their mission of killing Zack and seemed to have brought good news. It wasn't a surprise to anyone here. These two elders were twins and their combined strength was indeed greater than one plus one.

"Send someone to get her….she has been so proud and arrogant until now, I wonder how she will react hearing that little brother is gone. She will make a good slave that's for sure…."

"It would have been nice if you could have brought little brother's head…..what a pity….I would have loved to show it to her...."

The people felt a chill climbing up their spines. It wasn't like they hadn't seen killing and scheming among the family. It was mostly unavoidable, people would usually be quick to deal with their opponents. But this man was cruel, he was enjoying it.

His words and his evil intent were clear….but the people here believed that it was better than the First Master who was too kind to be a leader. People like him would only bring trouble for everyone.....

"Are you sure about it?'' One of the brother's asked the other in a low voice as the duo got out of the place.

''Of course, I am. There is no way for him to have survived that…'' The other one said with a frown.

" I can't seem to get it off my mind…."

"Even in the event of him surviving, do you think he could make it out with the injuries….even if we didn't do anything, he might have succumbed to his injuries on the way back without any treatment….so don't worry. Besides, I am sure that it hit him at the right place….he is dead for sure…."

"Go, it's your turn…." The person who had been looking after Max spoke as he pushed the door open.

Max looked at the entrance and took a deep breath, he knew that it was too big of a matter for his family to not know when they were involved in the first place.

'It's not like I expect anything at this moment….' Max thought as he calmly walked ahead.

Achilles House, The Lord's Chamber, a few minutes ago….

The Lord was preparing for his meeting when his butler appeared.

"Make it quick, I don't have much time…." The Lord said with a calm look.

"It's regarding the Young Master…"

"What has that brat done now? Don't tell me he got a girl pregnant? It better not be that or I will skin him alive…." The old man said as his blood began to boil. This son of his was talented but one hell of a playboy. If he focused his entirety on training instead of fooling around, he could have surpassed everyone in the current generation. At least that is what he believed.

"No... it's not a girl this time. He ran away again….."

"How many days has it been?" The Lord asked with a frown.

"It's been 7 days since he asked a leave for sickness….when the Academy staff went to check on him after 7 days, he was missing…"

"What is wrong with him, it's already been a few times this past few months? It's unlike him to run alone….are you sure he hasn't got a girl with him…" the Lord asked in confirmation.

"The surveillance shows he was alone…"

"That brat….it's been 7 days, he could be anywhere by now...I can't understand how he managed to get past a Grand Master Tier Mage. The guard wasn't fooling around was he?" The Lord asked in anger.

"Search for him...even though he returns on his own. We can't just sit by like this...that girl wasn't easy to control and now this boy seemed to have been influenced as well.."

"Yes, my lord…"
