"We haven't got the entire day. Move and capture the girls." the brown-haired man said with a calm expression.

"Yes, Sir!", the people behind him replied in unison.

"Hey you, come here.", the man beckoned one of the seven guys behind him.

"Yes, Sir." the guy came forward and stood with his back straight.

"You have done a good job. I will make sure to get you rewarded. But I will take you with me to headquarters. You will follow me from now on", the brown-haired man said with a smile.

"Thank you, Mr. Derek", the guy replied in joy.

That guy there was the very same guy who had questioned Max and Axle earlier at the entrance of the secret passageway.

Since he wasn't convinced, he decided to find it out for himself and while doing so, he bumped into this person who had apparently been sent by the Main branch following the order of Master Greed.

And the rest was what led to the current situation. His information at the correct moment allowed this person to take quick action and intercept them there.

"Now get to work." The man called Derek spoke and waved his hands.

"Yes, Si-"

But before they could continue any further, a heavy and baleful aura with a dense killing intent started to leak out on the streets.

"Hm..." Feeling that something was wrong, everybody stopped in their tracks.

Derek frowned as he scanned his surroundings and failed to find any person.

The girls shivered at the terrifying aura which started to form illusions for them.

It was ordinary for weaker people to see illusions when placed in such situations.

Lisa's eyes widened and she turned her head towards the body lying at the right side on the pavement.

She had felt the same aura from him, the last time he rescued her. She continued to stare at Max hoping for her deduction to be true.

And finally, his hands quivered.

She couldn't help but tear up as her eyes started to water and she hugged Axle tightly in her arms without noticing it herself.

It wasn't difficult to imagine her action. Just put yourself in her situation. Would you be happy to see the guy who saved your life, die right in front of you?

"Come out, I really am not a fan of hide and seek." Derek said as he carefully scanned his surroundings.

There wasn't any response, but as the aura became stronger, it's direction became obvious too.

When Derek followed the aura, and his gaze landed on Max. He couldn't help but let out a gasp in excitement.

"Woah!"

"You are really making it exciting for me. I haven't felt this feeling in a long time."

"Ha..Ha…"

'This man really was a maniac. Even the faces of the man around him twitched.'

"I..Will...make...sure...it..to...be..your..last.. time…"

Suddenly an eerie voice sounded in the street.

Everyone felt a chill run down their spine as the hairs on their body rose on the feeling of danger.

Derek was the only one feeling excited at that moment. He faced forward to see the guy slowly rising back to his feet. The guy's eyes were blood red and the wounds on his body and the bloodstains on his clothes really made his appearance frightening.

And after getting back on his feet he slowly spoke under his breath as he released the vapors from his mouth.

"K..KI...KILL"

Max didn't know what was happening to him. He just felt a strong desire to kill.

When his body started to move once again, He could only see the brown-haired man and his lackeys.

Yes

It was him.

KILL THEM! KILL THEM! KILL THEM! KILL THEM! KILL THEM! KILL THEM! KILL THEM! …..

…

There were several voices ringing Max's head and he could only feel his crave for blood increase.

"Show me what yo-", before Derek could even complete his sentence he lost the sight of Max in front of him.

His smile froze and in a moment it completely disappeared.

"Shnk!"

As the noise rang, everyone turned around but they couldn't find anyone there except a headless man whose body was spurting out blood.

"Thud!"

The man's body finally fell to the ground and nobody even dared to let out a breath.
