Age Of Islands: I Can See Through All Things Chapter 32

Everyone heaved a sigh of relief when they saw that Dave was fine.
They were about to open their mouths to tease him when they saw a shadow flicker behind Dave.
Everyone was no longer calm. They pointed behind Dave and said, "Dave, be careful. There's something!"
"What, what can there be?" Dave looked at everyone in disdain.
What was the point of such a childish joke?
He was an Intermediate Silver Swordsman, and his strength was not weak.
"You want to lie to me? Forget it."
"No, no, no. Dave, Dave, run!"
Seeing everyone's reaction, Dave suddenly felt that something was wrong.
At the same time, a chill suddenly came from behind him.
"Oh no!" Dave knew something had happened.
He did not dare to turn his back on the enemy, instead, he immediately activated his battle aura and turned around to stab whatever was attacking him.
There was a scream followed by splattering sounds as green blood landed on Dave's face.
Dave suddenly opened his eyes and was so frightened that he was completely dazed.
What was in front of him?
Countless green-skinned mermen stared at him, baring their fangs and brandishing their claws.
Some even placed their hands on Dave's shoulders.
At this moment, Dave was completely dumbfounded.
As for the Silver Swordsmen behind him, they shouted for him to run while rushing up to provide support.
When he felt the wound on his shoulder, Dave finally reacted. He did not even bother with his sword as he pulled back.
But now, unlike before, the mermen in the sea had all appeared.
The entire sea was pitch black. It was hard to differentiate the sea and the mermen!
As for Dave, he was basically surrounded at the moment.
When he wanted to run, it was as though he had triggered a switch.

All the mermen were instantly alarmed.
They clawed wildly at Dave.
"Ah!"
"Haha!"
"Tear!"
...
Countless mermen put on all kinds of cruel, crazy, and bloodthirsty expressions as they grabbed Dave fearlessly.
"Ah!" Dave knew that he could not run away, so he drew his sword with all his strength. Then, he mustered all his strength and shouted, "Die!"
He swung his sword at the mermen who were charging at him, and in an instant, they were split into two by Dave.
But before Dave could catch his breath, more mermen pounced.
His head, back, chest, knees, feet were all targeted.
They were densely packed like locusts.
Before Dave could exert all his strength, he was bitten by a merman!
"Ah!" Dave howled in pain.
The voice was so loud that it passed through the merman.
Everyone who came to support felt their scalps go numb, not daring to think too deeply.
They could only hasten their pace and try to reach him earlier.
But Dave was too far ahead.
In addition, the merman formation was completely set up, and everyone was directly blocked by the endless barrage.
At this moment, Dave, who was covered in mermen, could clearly feel the sound of flesh being eaten. A heart-wrenching pain made him lose consciousness.
"No, you damned bugs!" Dave was unwilling to die just like that. His battle aura shook, and the long sword in his hand danced quickly.
In an instant, all of the mermen were killed by him.
Dave was covered in blood.
Countless visible wounds revealed pale bones.
His face was completely unrecognizable.
His mouth had been completely bitten off, revealing his pale white teeth.
One of his eyelids was missing, and his ears were gone as well.
At this moment, Dave was even more terrifying than the mermen. He was like a messenger from hell.

"Damn mermen, don't even think about making me die like this!" Dave knew that he would not live for long, so he swung his sword crazily and killed endlessly.
In a short period of time, countless mermen had piled up into a tall mountain beside him.
Dave, standing on the hill, held his sword that had green blood on the blade. There was even less flesh on his body now as red blood ran down his body.
Dave pointed his sword at the mermen below, as if to tell them he was there, and taunt them to attack him.
"Dave!" Everyone was furious upon seeing his state.
"Wait, we'll be there soon!"
"Damn mermen, I must kill all of you!"
Everyone no longer held back their attacks.
On the other side, Dave's divine bravery also stunned the mermen.
They did not come up at once, but the lure of flesh and blood eventually broke their sanity. As the first merman rushed out, it bit into Dave's hand.
Soon, all the mermen rushed out together.
In a moment, no one could see Dave anymore.
Meanwhile, Dave's body seemed to have been drenched in sulfuric acid as he became shorter and shorter by the second.
When the mermen left, Dave, who was standing on the corpse of a mermen, turned into a pale skeleton.
His body was still standing firmly, and the sword in his hand was still there.
"No, Dave!" Everyone was agitated again at this sight.
"I will definitely avenge you!"
"Rest in peace. I will make all the mermen die with you!"
...
"Retreat!" Someone was very rational.
It was pointless to continue ahead now that Dave was dead.
It was very likely that they would die as well!
Therefore, they could not be rash now!
"No, I want to avenge Dave!"
"That's right. Don't even think about making me retreat!"
Someone roared: "Do you all want to waste the time Dave spent his life to give us?"
Most of them fell silent.
Hence, they slowly retreated as they pulled each other.
As everyone retreated, the entire sea was once again filled with countless mermen.
In the distance, there was only Dave's pale body. His determined expression could still be seen on the dead bodies of the mermen.
"Dave, wait for me. I'll definitely bring you back!"
"Don't be rash! The key now is to inform the President."
"That's right. There are too many mermen this time. It might be a large-scale attack. We can't stop it!"
"Everyone, you must not retreat. Once you retreat, the mermen will find a random forest to hide in the island, and it will be troublesome for us to chase after them. Moreover, these mermen are not weak, and ordinary people will definitely die if they encounter them!"
"That's right, we must persevere. Not for us, but for the President behind us!"
"For the President!"
"For the President!"
Someone shouted, and everyone could not help but repeat.
The huge morale instantly dispelled everyone's fear.
"Let's fight! There's no way out. We have to stop them even if we die today."
"That's right, we can't let our New World that is created by the President be tainted by these beasts!"
Soon, everyone unanimously decided to let the youngest Silver Swordsman deliver the news, and the remaining people charged forward once again.
Compared to the densely packed mermen, there were only seven or eight Silver Swordsmen. Like a tidal wave, they were instantly drowned in the boundless mermen!

The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.

I would even call it 'The immortal snail problem'. Improvisational writing. I will try to make small irregular updates. There may be polls. Enjoy.

The Ramayana - Lakshmila's POV
We have read The Ramayana as kids and always knew it to be the story of Rama and his consort Sita. Every character has an important role to play. But not all of them have found much importance is any of the version. One such character is Urmila and her story with Lakshmana. All versions mention Urmila's sacrifice as "Unparalleled" but none depicted it. This story is an attempt to present the story of Ramayana from Urmila and Lakshmana's POV. Note : This story is fictional. The characters are the same. This story is an insight of The Ramayana through Lakshman and Urmila's eyes. There would be Nobody's POV also. The events are the same but the depiction is part of fiction. Parts of the story is loosely based/inspired from Sita's Sister but I have taken creative liberty to give my character more edge and depth.
