《The Genius’ First Love》The Genius' First Love

"We had seen them both all night Princess," The servant announced. "The chieftain opened the door for us to see them. He wanted us to see who among them slept first. As they were in the drinking competition, we are tasked to judge and watch who will win,"
"What?" Baruk Tam scratched his head at the folly Chieftain Enoch and Darryl did last night. Seems that he missed some fun, "So, who won?"
The servant turned to Baruk Tam with shining eyes. "The Chieftain did. For some reasons the hero complained of having headache and so he was a dead meat after just three cups,"
"Tsk..tsk...tsk," Baruk clicked in his mouth. She then turned to the princess whose eyes felt so betrayed. He didn't know why princess Lana was always dragging the hero in all of her narratives but probably Maru was right, she coveted the hero. However, seeing how she ruined herself for such mad devotion was so foolish of her.
"Princess Lana—"
"I won't have any of this. Why doesn't anyone believe me?" She insisted even when there were witnesses that testifies Darryl certainly wasn't the man she was with last night.
"Princess, you are smart enough to know that we can't just believe everything without anyone testifying to it, or at least any evidence to prove what your claims are true,"
"This is the Hero's chambers, that's enough of an evidence," She blabbered ferociously.
"Well, where are the guntas that were guarding his chambers?" Baruk Tam inquired.
"Right here Baruk," Two guntas came forward to answer him.
"Since you were the one who was watching this chamber the whole night, then can you testify that the hero slept here?"
"No Baruk, the hero had not been around here," One of the answers said.

"Then how about the fact that the Highest Gunta is here sleeping in his chambers?"
"The Highest Gunta was drunk last night. His chamber was the one next to the hero," The explanation continued. "We tried to tell him it wasn't his chambers but he wasn't listening and brushed us off so we just let him be. How could we go against him," Their reasons then made sense because the Highest Gunta was their leader and these guards were low level guntas. Surely they can't go against their highest leader.
"And the princess, why was she here?"
"We didn't know it was the princess who came here. The madam of the courtesan sent a veiled trained courtesan and we thought it was for the Highest Gunta so we let her in," The Guntas explained. The highest Gunta had always requested a courtesan in every place he visited so the guntas didn't think twice especially when it was the madam of the courtesan who personally came to bring the woman.
"A veiled courtesan?" Baruk Tam can already sense what was happening. So was everyone else. "But this is the hero's chambers and you know the hero do not want any courtesans,"
"Apologies Baruk Tam," The Guntas were shaking when they were being questioned because they themselves knew they committed a mistake. "However we are very much aware that the hero do not sleep here and believed us or not, we did thought the courtesan was for the Highest Gunta since he was the one who was sleeping there that night,"
"I'm sorry but I do need to investigate you two," Baruk Tam concluded. "Bring them to the interrogation chambers. Also call for the madam of the courtesans'. I also need to ask her some questions"

The two Guntas who knew their mistake acted like real soldiers so when they were dragged away by their fellow guntas, they didn't protest much. They had their heads down very ashamed that their jobs were questioned. The guntas have the highest code of disciple and loyalty in the Manggan Archipelago and so what happened right then was a stain on their reputation and pride.
"As for you Princess Lana, I want to—"
"It looks like the princess came to me as a courtesan," The Highest Gunta cut Baruk Tam off. He had just been listening to what had transpired and he certainly knew what exactly happened just by studying the reactions and words by those who had been involved. "And I had already taken her purity Baruk Tam, so I think, its safe to say she is mine to handle right now,"
"I guess you are right," Baruk Tam thought that since it was the Highest Gunta's reputation that was being questioned, he indeed had the right to clear it. As of the Highest Princess, it was obvious she had willingly given herself so there was no dispute to the matter of whose woman she was.
"No, you can't take me in without my consent," Princess Lana insisted. She feared what was happening and certainly didn't want to become the Highest Guntas woman. Just with all the things she suffered last night under his hands, she don't want to endure such kind of pain and torture again. "I demand that my brother be called,"
"The Chieftain is asleep right now," The Highest Gunta announced. "Besides Princess Lana you owe me for acting up as courtesan and accused me of defiling you when obviously you had given yourself to me willingly last night and mind you, it wasn't just once," There was fire in his eyes when he said that and princess Lana's fear aggravated.
"No, no please Baruk Tam,"
"Princess Lana, this issue right now isn't a matter that involves my household anymore," Baruk Tam declined her plea. He had already ruined the mood and celebration there, he didn't want to bother himself with her viciousness anymore. "However I'll inform the chieftain later about what happened here. Pray that he comes and take you from the hands of the Highest Gunta because knowing the Chieftain, he might just leave you there,"
"What? No you can't all do this to me!"
Baruk Tam had enough of it. He simply dismissed himself from the chaos and everyone followed him.
"Princess Lana," Her handmaiden came to her bed and tried to console her. "Here princess, we had already prepared a bath for me. Come so we can have you dressed after,"
"She's not getting dressed yet," The highest Gunta refused.
"But Highest Gunta—"
"Out. All of you leave," The Highest Gunta dismissed all of them. "Your princess came to me as a courtesan and I always pay for my courtesan's company for a day or more. Obviously, her services were not yet finished,"
"What?" Princess Lana's eyes were filled with fear. This can't be happening to her. This was not the one she wanted.
"I said all of you leave!" That's the last and the chambers of the Highest Gunta were shut off again. Soon it was filled with screams and later moaning again.
