"Insolence!" Princess Song stood and defended Enoch's honor. "How dare you question the Chieftain's words. Besides, I agree with the Chieftain when he said visions should not be taken literally. We have a history of misdeeds because of an error in the interpretation of Illa Durray's vision. We should not decided based on impulses,"
"All of you refusing the vision a chance made me believe you deny the child of the moon's existence and the great Messa's Prophecy" Highest Princess confronted all their hesitations, "May the Highest God—"
"Enough Highest Princess," Princess Song looked at her with eyes ready to kill. She had enough with her insistence. "You insisting on becoming a part of the Hero's household makes me believe you harbor some feelings for him in your heart and you are using all these rumors and visions to manipulate everyone. How shameless of you to force yourself into someone else house? Right then it makes me wonder, did you perhaps lure me to believing you are uncomfortable in the Baruk's household so I can invite you to come and live me in the Hero's house?"
"You can accuse me of anything but I swear that I am only insisting it because I know it is best for our tribe," Princess Song's daring words angered her. Who would have thought this the little princess Song actually had some brains. She thought she was to young to understand politics and yet she very well narrated what really happened and her shameless intentions. "Even if the visions are real or not, can you all dare take risks? Can you take the risk of the possibility that the child of the moon might be born from my womb?"
Everyone idled at the Highest Princess words. She was indeed right, what if her claims were true, then they had all just killed the moon child before it had a chance to live. However, the matter was very complicated as they cannot force Darryl to take the Highest Princess in.

Chieftain Enoch thought of the matter thoughtfully but before things could get worse, Darryl joined the pleading.
"Illa Durray's vision did not clearly mention the child will be born from me," Darryl said calmly and everyone's eyes turned to him. "She only said that a child will be born in my house but did not mention if I am his father,"
"Hero, Illa Durray impliedly meant it was you," The Highest Princess helplessly defended. "Please, you are already a part of Manggan Island. Your position is more celebrated than mine. I am giving myself to you to fulfill a prophecy, please do this and prove you are our hero,"
"I am not your hero unfortunately," Darryl did not even straighten his eyes to her as if she was not worthy of his gaze. "I am not a hero of a damsel in distress. I am just the hero of Somer Isles, not a hero of a woman obsessed on some prophecies,"
"Hero I understand your indifference, but you are living with us now," The highest Princess pushed some sense to him. "It's not a great sacrifice to take me in as a concubine. Besides, for royals like us our devotion to some women should not hinder our responsibilities as leaders of the Manggan Archipelago,"
"Are you insulting a chieftain, the Highest Princess?" Darryl said it, raising a brow.
"My words is not in any way insulting anyone,"
"You said it's not a great sacrifice for a man who had devotions to their wives to take another woman as a concubine," Darryl repeated her very own words, "The previous Chieftain I remember did not take concubines when the first Chieftain was alive, are you insulting his devotion to the first Chieftana then?"

"That...that…"
"Also you said royals like us should not make our devotion to some women hinder our responsibilities," Darryl added, "That makes the first Chieftain irresponsible because he refused to take another concubine even when his wife took long to sire him a child,"
Princess Lana's face went pale. Although she found her father's reasons for someone not fit for a chieftain and some of his decisions irresponsible, he was somehow loved by many, so was the first Chieftana and so it was rather hard for her to insult their memory. It might put her in bad limelight.
"Very well then, as the hero said, the vision was rather not clear," Chieftain Enoch decided to intervene as he didn't want to put more shame on his sister. When Darryl heard him speak, he backed off and stopped shaming the Highest princess. "You know our history with visions. A good interpretation gives us blessings but a bad one gives us curse, that's why we have to be careful in dealing one,"
"But Chieftain, what if the Highest Princess is right?" Some leaders expressed. "Should we take the risk of not fulfilling the visions when there wasn't really much to sacrifice,"
"Insolence!" Chieftain Enoch screamed with authority, dismissing everyone's protest. "Although the Hero decided to live with us, let us remember that our relationship with him was founded on give and take. We gave him respect, that's why he gave us our trust. Tell me, is forcing him to render a service for an unclear vision a way to respect him?"
"It is not," Baruk Tam answered for everyone. Only when he spoke did everyone realize they were in the wedding banquet and that this was supposed to be the Highest lady and the Baruk's moment. "I say this, anyone who forces my brother to do something against his will is the an enemy of the Somer Isles,"
"Very well," Chieftain Enoch concluded, ready to put an end to the conversation. "How about we make a toast for the newly wed?"
Hearing it, Darryl stood and raised his cup. "To Baruk Tam my brother and the Highest Lady Maru, a cup for your greatness and future!"
"Hear, hear!" Everyone raised their cup too and joined the toast. Soon, everything went back to order and it seemed the conversation did not take place. No one lingered about it anymore, only the Highest Princess who felt thoroughly betrayed and shamed in front of everyone. What's worse was that, tonight after the banquet, they were to leave the Hero's house and she'll lose her chance with him anymore.
