"Hey wait!"

"I'm sorry Miss?" Appalled from the girl's sudden charge, he kneaded the furrow between his brows as he wondered what the girl was trying to do. ​​

"Don't let the stallion drink the water" Xhemin answered as she went beside the laborer in a quickened pace.

"And who are you?" The stable master asked as he gave Xhemin a distasteful look and frown wrinkles on the side of his mouth.

"Hello Mister, I am doctor—

"And who do you think you are to command my men to go against my orders?" That shut Xhemin.

She didn't want to pry in the first place, but the situation gave her no options. However, the situation seemed to be more complicated than she anticipated judging from the stable master's reaction.

"That's not what I intend to do Mister, I was just trying to —"

"Do you know who I am?" He asked her with his glaring furious eyes and hard tone. Everyone who worked in the forest mansion knew that the stable master has a very bad temperament. The girl is doomed.

"The stable master, I believe" She looked up to him not knowing whether to let go either some tensed or rather calm nerves.

"Do you know what stable master's do 'round here, little girl?" he added not pleased with the girl's lack of certain fear that he expected.

"He's in charge of the barn" She answered primly. The stable master smirk at her response.

"Then what do you think you are doing?" Repeatedly he asked her with a dirty glare. He was trying to scare the girl, but her expression was blank, and it annoyed him to the extent that he wanted to forget that she was just a young girl.

"I'm sorry but you should not give the horses—" This time a loud smash stopped Xhemin. The stable master let loose of the lasso that he kept hanging around his shoulders and smashed a good swing on the ground. Dust instantly flew in the air.

"Hey!" Xhemin was taken aback by the stable master's hostility. She was used to arguing with adults, but never did she thought that her simple interference would draw a good amount of anger from him.

"If I say the horses should drink, then the horses shall drink" he shouted still holding the lasso in his right hand and was almost ready to grope the girl. Everyone halted, particularly the laborers who feared the girl's safety. They want to grab the girl away but were too afraid to do so.

"It's going to make his condition worse!" In between her shock, she shouted back at him.

Xhemin's unbending behavior infuriated the stable master and he was ready to strike a lash on her out of his anger. In this place, he had always been the master, no one dared to disobey him ever since and that made him want to teach the girl a lesson.

"Stable master wait, this is Dr. Cyan's assistant!" One laborer caught Xhemin in his arms and dared to protect the girl. It was the same man Xhemin was conversing earlier. His arms that grabbed the girl were shaking, a sign of how scared he was of the stable master.

"I don't care who the crap she is!" The stable master shouted back and made a move to swing his lasso to Xhemin's direction.

"Stop!" Somebody shouted from afar, it was Dr. Cyan. He run forward to Xhemin's side and kept a good eye whether the Little Missus was hurt somewhere "How could you treat a girl like this?"

The stable master's sanity suddenly awakened at Dr. Cyan's entrance. Earlier, he thought the girl was just a lowly servant. Although her appearance was far from the usual servants in the mansion, her skin was tanned well that made him suspect she must be a relative of one of their laborers that was giving them some errands.

However, the stable was too proud to accept the irregularity of his previous behavior so he continued his act "I can treat anyone as I desire…." He answered hesitantly but then sooner he added "Also, didn't Dr. Piper Xu banish you from the barns?"

"She gave us other tasks, but she didn't specifically banish us from the barns" Dr. Cyan responded giving the stable master a thwarting look. How could he be that hostile?

"We'll I do now" Suddenly, Dr. Piper Xu emerged from somewhere in her red stilettos. She gave Dr. Cyan an embarrassing look before turning to the stable master "What is the commotion all about?"

"The girl is interrupting our schedules here" the stable master reasoned. Knowing that Dr. Piper Xu is the current in-charge of the vet team he gave her some sense of respect "She didn't want the horses to drink water"

"Does she?" Swaying her honey-blond hair to the air she added. "Since when did she have that authority?"

"But what I'm saying is—"

"Enough!" Dr. Piper cut Xhemin off loudly. She looked at the girl and her rival with disdain from head to foot. "How dare you interfere with our routines! Dr. Cyan I'm giving you a fair warning, if she come's here messing up again then I shall banish you both not only in the barn but in the mansion too!"

"You do not have the right to do that! You are not my employer!" Dr. Cyan groaned.

'Every single day, this doctor had become more annoying that she already was,' he thought.

"But I am in charge. I can do whatever I want. From now on, both of you are not to be seen roaming around any of the barns. Now leave!" She ordered. "Also, stable master, have the horses drink the water"

"No! The horses will surely die tomorrow!" Xhemin exclaimed but Dr. Piper Xu just rolled her eyes at her uninterestingly. A second after, Xhemin found herself being dragged away by Dr. Cyan from the barn out to nowhere.
