Piper Xu had spent so long staring at her watch until it was time to meet the bosses. It was ten in the morning when, with her head up and shoulders back, she glided elegantly into one of the mansion's room, a confidence on her lips along with a fresh coat of red lipsticks. When she entered the room together with Mr. Halsey and few of her chosen staff, she aimed directly on seeing the lady boss that everybody was fussing about but there were no signs of her. But not more than a dozen strides across the room; she spotted a fine looking boy that outshined everyone in the room. Everything about him, his body language, his expression and aura told her that he was no ordinary.

Mr. Halsey stopped in front of the boy to give his greetings and when he did, the boy looked up, his eyes not quite focused. He was cradling a cup of tea and on the table in front of him displayed were a couple of documents that he had probably dug in few minutes earlier. When the boy's eyes fell on the new comers, he smiled, this time using the expression reserved for interesting strangers whom one is expecting but have never met before. ​ ​

Piper Xu shivered when she realized who he was—his hazel devilish eyes say it all. Everyone in this country knew there was only one prominent family who had that kind of eyes, the Lagdameo's for sure. Although she had not met this boy before, she knew then that he was the famous Lagdameo heir for there was only one Lagdameo boy in this generation and certainly it was him. No doubt at all.

"Young master this is Dr. Halsey, the Senior Manager of our operations. Together with him is the current in charge of the operations Piper Xu and her team. She was the one who discovered the cure" Manager Song started.

"Nice meeting you Young Master, we were not really expecting your visit but we are truly honoured" Mr. Halsey greeted.

"I'm here in behalf of your boss" Darryl replied in a tone that is warm and confident. "Please take your seats" he added a little later.

As soon as everybody settled in their seats comfortably, Manager Song started discussing the preliminaries of their current meeting. Piper Xu didn't have a gasp of all of those things because she was looking at the boy every now and then. Who would have thought her luck will sprint out to this extent?

She came here expecting only the lady boss whom she had never met before and although she knew that the lady boss was no ordinary person, the Lagdameo heir was far too different from any one else. For who can compare to the grandiose of Darryl Lemmeul Lagdameo? And the fact that she will appear a hero in front of him for her great contribution to their success with the horses was probably one of her greatest achievement. To be noticed by him was already one hell of luck. What more is the fact that he will probably adore her expertise?

"Dr. Piper is doing very well as of this time at the east barn and although we don't have results yet for the horses in the west barn, I'm sure everything will work out just fine" Mr. Halsey mentioned which opened an opportunity for Piper Xu to speak.

" Yes definitely. I had made sure I have the right staff to assist me on the west barn" She said with pride. "When Mr. Halsey gave me the honour of leading the team, I had— " She was about to lay down all she had done to come up with a great team the last few days when Darryl cut her off suddenly.

"Now, tell me Dr. Piper, how did you treat the horses?" Without looking at Piper Xu, Darryl managed to ask her. His eyes were digging into a piece of paper that a staff just handed to him.

She held a deep breath of confidence before answering "Well, it was easy though. I was very focused of their hygiene. This Staw disease as I figure out is just a hygiene virus so I was being particular of maintaining the horses' hygiene and it work out. I also made—"

"Hygiene virus?" Farmer Su who was also in the room asked. "Young master haven't the stable masters follow a certain standard in maintaining the horses? I don't think this is all because of the hygiene"

"Well, it worked out fine for me" Piper reasoned out. Who is this old man who is trying to mess up with her? From the way he looked, he seemed not to fit the people in this room. He looked like an old farmer whose ideas was certainly not welcome. Who allowed this person inside anyway? "Perhaps the standard of hygiene that you just mentioned is just too shallow to the one that I religiously follow" She added.

" True. I know Piper Xu long time enough that I can guarantee she has was very strict with hygiene" Dr. Halsey supported Piper Xu's statements.

"Looks obvious in the eyes" Manager Song commented unintentionally looking at Piper Xu from head to foot. Although he had doubts about the words of Dr. Piper Xu, the miraculous healing of the horses in the east barn was undeniably her accomplishment. "Just one look at Dr. Piper and one could tell" He added in a sort of a joke to lighten up the mood a bit.

Piper smiled after few seconds of dismay about the farmer's comment. There was silence in the place and she could see how the Lagdameo heir raised his eyes to meet hers. Her veins started to tighten as if she was about to melt under those indecipherable inspecting eyes. She wondered what he was thinking and whether she was expected to say anything else in the current situation.

"Tell me Dr.Xu, was there something you are not telling me?" Darryl's last words came without gleam of recognition for her proclaimed achievement.
