Omni-Mastery Chapter 14

"Is this the Fiery steel smithy?"
"Ah, yes, help yourself in, I will be there in a second."
I heard an aged voice answer to me as soon as I entered through the door, accompanied by the sound of hammering coming through.
"Here am I, so what can I help you with."
A dwarf, that was my first impression as I saw the smith. however, he was quite bulky like the village head, and had a small pair of glasses on, I wondered if this species actually existed in this world.
"Uh, it's actually me, who is wondering about that, I came to assist you with the work in the smithy as assigned within the request list that I received from the village head..."
"Ohhhhh, that, I was wondering when someone would come, I have left that request for more than a month, thank god you came, I'm getting too old for this."
"So, what do I actually have to do?"
"I would have liked to let you rest first and share a cup or two of drinks. Unfortunately, we have no time for this, follow me."
I followed the smith into the room he just came out from, he didn't bother asking for details so it either meant he was so desperate for help, or just that he trusted the village head this much.
"We will have to do a quick test first before putting you to actual work, try raising this hammer."
I touched the hammer slightly as 'weapon Resonance' activated on the spot.
[Refining Hammer lv.1]
[rarity - common]
[Requirements - Strength +10, Constitution +5]
This was all the information I could view for now, as I didn't have 'Hammer-mastery' yet, but it was enough for this task.
Raising this hammer may have been a hassle for the old Ian, but for the current me who satisfied the requirements, it was a piece of cake.

"Well, you seem to have enough strength for this, I guess you are passable. you will have to take care of ore refinement for the time you will stay here"
The smith pointed at an anvil in the corner, which had several rough shaped iron ores by its side.
"It is quite simple, all you have to do is hammer these ores till they lose their impurities which would get adsorbed to the anvil"
It seemed that this anvil was made of a special material that helped with the refining process, which seemed quite efficient in this world where there were no ore refining factories.
I didn't question much as I already sat at the chair and started hammering, I didn't have much time to waste if I wanted to earn the smith's trust and get to do more advanced work other than this labor.
"Well, you seem to take this quite seriously, just call me when you are done with this batch of ores, you can stay here for the night if you want"
The smith who seemed to be in hurry left, as I continued hammering for a while, it precisely took me 100 hammer strikes to remove all the impurities when I used all of my strength, which was about 10 minutes worth of work. However, the time it took and the number of strikes needed started lessening as I got used to it.
[daily quests:
Refine 500 iron ores {28/500}.]
I realized that the daily quest panel changed according to my work once again, After checking it. Unsurprisingly, there were only enough iron ores to finish the quest in the crate beside my work space. So, I decided to finish them as fast as I could, even if I had to give up my sleep for tonight.

However, as I continued hammering, exactly when I did about 100 ores more, I was alarmed by the system once again.
[You have learned 'Ore refining' Lv.1]
['Ore refining' Lv.1

*The time required for refining an ore decreases by 10%

The Breath of Creation [DROPPED]
General Summary: Sometimes, the multiverse needs expanding. That's where I come in. But, unfortunately, being a deity isn't all fun and games (and is incredibly complicated), as there are always things working against you. Not even the God of the Multiverses can change that. Another Summary: Twelve souls were chosen to expand into the void surrounding the known universe(s), and were given a grace period in which they would experience a relatively safe expansion of their domains. Once that period is up, however, they are free to interact with each other...and what lurks in the depths of the Abyss, the Void, and the Primordial Chaos. I am one of those souls. And let me tell you, this shit ain't easy. Between trying to raise mortals into an immortal army, with which I can defend my domain, dealing with my children, and trying to maintain the balance between all realms of existance, I have my work cut out for me. Sigh. Now I know why, back on Earth, gods worked in mysterious, invisible ways. There's just too much to be done. Formerly called RE: Deity

Essence Eater (A Super Progression Fantasy)
Gods. Demons. Aliens. Superheroes. Supervillains.Consume them all for power. Eighty years have passed since WW2, when Prime took to the skies and ended the war. No one knows what gave him his power, or what birthed the wave of supers that came after. Some claimed the nuclear bombs dropped in Japan cracked the barrier between Universes, allowing alien energies to enter the dimension. Others believed the wars finally triggered what humanity needed to reach a new stage of evolution. Daniel Das lives with his uncle in post-super London, the League of Hero's primary hub. He's spent all of his twenty-one years pushing himself, training in martial arts and studying supers, hoping he'll awaken his metagene and gain super powers. The cut-off age is close, but he hasn't yet awakened superpowers. Meanwhile, the League is steadily losing parts of the city to the growing villain factions. Daniel's uncle wishes to keep him away from the world of supers, but with the hot zones closing in, that's easier said than done. There are villains selling unregulated superpowers to gangs and dark days are on the horizon. Despite his limitations, there is no stopping Daniel. He is ravenous for power. If needed, he will ally with demons if they give him the power to protect his family and home. -------------------------------- This world building is heavily inspired by Worm and The Boys. It features dark, realistic storylines, corporation-funded heroes, and villains who aren't necessarily bad guys. The protagonist's powerset involves the crowd-favourite consuming enemies for power trope, too. The GameLit/LitRPG elements are super light and takes a while to kick in. The powercreep is slow as well since I don't enjoy overpowered protagonists. Chapters everyday until book 1 is complete. The schedule will change once I reach that point.
