The woman became anxious.
"I'll go with you."
The man shook his head.
"No, it's dangerous outside."
The man then left.
He turned his head around and took one last look at his wife. Perhaps it was a survival instinct but he still could not bring himself to kill another person as she had suggested.

Or perhaps, it was because the amount of food was diminishing. If he left, maybe his wife would survive longer.
His emotions were all over the place.
The man let out a heavy breath.
He looked towards the direction where Li Ran's car had gone.

Meanwhile, Li Ran was having a hard time on the road. There were zombies everywhere. Fortunately, they lived in the suburbs, so there were fewer zombies than there could have been. She was heading towards her parents' house.
A group of zombies then appeared in the direction where she was heading to.
Without saying anything, she turned her car around.
Li Ran planned to use the alleyway instead of the main road.
Just a little longer until she reached her parents.
She was already halfway there.
Suddenly, she saw a shadow standing in the middle of the road, motionless.
As she got closer, Li Ran realized that it was a person. She was standing straight up like a pole and was very thin. If she had not been standing in the middle of the road, Li Ran probably would not have noticed her.
Her complexion looked really dark.
Li Ran honked at her. She did not want to get into an accident. This person's behavior was very unusual. Most people would step away.
But that person was indifferent.
She did not budge even when Li Ran was driving at full speed towards her.

Her entire body was trembling.
Li Ran gritted her teeth. However, she refused to slow down her car.
She managed to narrowly avoid the girl.
The girl slowly turned her head around and watched as Li Ran's car got further and further away.
"You piece of trash! You've been standing here for two days! It's not easy meeting someone with a car, why didn't you stop it?"
A middle-aged man who was quite fat appeared and cursed at the girl. He was holding a whip.
He waved the whip around.
"What's your name? Li Hui? No, just change it to trash! Don't think that just because your family used to be rich, you can still get special treatment! The world had changed! I've fed you for more than two days, you better be grateful! Do you know that I'm basically your foster parent?!"
The fat man was exasperated!
He had been eating dried instant noodles for days and would become nauseous just at the sight of noodles!
Li Hui was not able to do anything. She could not stop a single passerby.
She did not say a word and remained standing at her original spot.
"You will either die under my whip or become like the boy who was killed by your chauffeur. If you want to continue living, then hurry up and stop any passerby, understand?"
The fat man finally finished reprimanding her.
Li Hui was indifferent.
That sight made the fat mad furious and he flew into a rage.
He lashed out and whipped the girl!
Li Hui's small body could not withstand the assault and she fell to the ground, her lips turning white.
"F*ck! You trash! You're useless! You're so well off that nobody is even willing to take pity on you!"
The more he yelled, the angrier the fat man became.

He really wanted to strangle this piece of trash to death!
He wanted to whip Li Hui again so she would look even more haggard. Just as he was about to hit her, a sound could suddenly be heard.
The fat man immediately stopped and looked in the direction where the sound came from.
A car was parked nearby!
It was a luxury car.
A man who was estimated to be over 6'2 exited the car. He gazed at the fat man.
His eyes looked scary, mainly because he had a fierce face.
The fat man was intimidated. He looked at Li Hui and asked "Do you know each other?"

The fat man then grabbed Li Hui by the back collar of her clothes and lifted her up. He asked coldly, "What is your relationship with him?"
Li Hui looked at the tall man. Referring to the fat man, she uttered, "Evil man."
The fat man was annoyed. "Hey, how can you say that?! I've been feeding you! Otherwise, you would have starved to death a long time ago! Why don't you be more grateful?!"
The fat man was furious but he did not dare to hit her at the moment.
