As A Cardinal, I Don't Do Overtime Chapter 240

"Don't tell me you really want to build a house here?"
Bobby stared at Monn with a strange gaze.
It was really hard to imagine that Monn, an archbishop, had such a passion for building houses.
He had already watched Monn use small fireballs, medium fireballs, big fireballs, fire cages, firewalls...
Just like performing acrobatics, he had used dozens of fire-type spells here.
Just to try out what kind of spell was suitable for condensing the concrete, clay, that he was talking about!
He really wanted to tell this bishop, who did not have any basic knowledge, that concrete was not made with fire and water.
Concrete was also not made of soil plus water with some stinky fruit.
Stinky fruit was used to smoke mosquitoes and insects.
It was not very useful to add in the mud.
More importantly, the result of that combination would not be clay.
The sky was almost completely dark, and this bishop was still playing with the mud.
It was as if the mud, after his hands, could really be used like clay.
After living for so many years, this was the first time he had seen people using magic to mix the mud.
And he even wanted to use magic to make up for the wrong materials.
This archbishop was indeed very powerful and creative.
After changing so many spells, he was still trying out new ones.
It was as if he would not stop until the suitable formula for clay was determined.
This was perhaps the reason why he could become an archbishop and was sought after by so many people.
"Has anyone ever told you what clay is?"
Bobby was really convinced that this archbishop was unwilling to give up.
He couldn't help but remind him.
He told him that the thing he was making right now was just like a child playing with mud.
It will never turn out like clay.
What Bobby didn't know was that the reason why Monn was going through so much trouble.
It was entirely because he spent one point to buy the Basics of Infrastructure from the 9-to-5 clock system.

The Basics of Infrastructure said that with sticky fruit, soil, water, and appropriate fire magic, one could make clay with a higher viscosity.
Thus, there was the scene where Monn was trying out fire magic on mud as he had gone insane.
"The road is paved by people."
Monn was especially confident.
He completely believed that the system's products must be of high quality.
"The soil here is not clay. How do you make clay? By wasting smelly fruit?"
Bobby's face was as cold as the winter sky that was about to hail.
"It's because the soil here is not suitable for clay that we have to make clay that is suitable for this place. Otherwise, how can we build a house? A house without clay is not strong enough."
Monn justified himself as if he was accusing Bobby of wanting to cut corners.
Bobby was so angry that he glared at Monn with his eyes wide open. This person was simply messing around. He was unreasonable and impossible to communicate with.
He was especially unreasonable.
"The trees here are growing so well!"
Monn was a fire-type magician, so his heat resistance was extremely strong.
However, he had been using fire-type magic for a long time, so he was also extremely hot.
He wiped the bean-sized sweat off his forehead and looked up. He wanted to look at the sky, but he saw the huge unknown tree towering into the clouds beside him.
He suddenly had an unreliable idea.
"Hey, Bobby. Why don't we use the wood from this tree!"
Monn felt that he was really a smart little genius.
"What?"
Bobby was still thinking that Monn was unreliable when he suddenly heard Monn say something.
"I say we chop down this tree and build a house. We can even enclose a piece of land to be our yard."
Monn took out the basic building basics from his system space backpack.
After flipping through a few pages, he pointed at one of the building blueprints and showed it to Bobby.

Bobby took it and looked at it.
Oh wow!
Wow, wow, wow!
This archbishop really had some ideas!
He was just staying here for the time being.
Was there a need to be so formal?
He even found building blueprints for it.
A standard courtyard house, one main room, two side rooms on the left and right. Then a kitchen. And a yard.
The location of the flower beds in the yard had been designed.
"Are you sure you can make it according to your own expectations?"
Anyway, Bobby didn't know whether others would believe it or not, but when he looked at Monn's current stage of mud mixing, he didn't believe it at first.
"Aren't you here? When I'm done with the clay, you can build a house! I'm showing you this now, not for you just to watch. I'm showing you the layout and structure, and then go get the wood and stones ready."
Don't think that Monn didn't see the gloating expression on Bobby's face.
"You're the one who wants to build a house, not me. Why should I get you wood and stones?"
Bobby protested.
"How simple! I am stronger than you are."
Monn finally understood now. Don't try to reason with Bobby.
This guy was like a rolling blade of meat that wouldn't budge no matter how hard he tried.
Instead of trying to reason with him, suppressing him with force would be much easier.
After he finished his work, Monn could find some food for him, and he would immediately be the cute and furry doggy again.
"Then I still won't do it!
Bobby snorted coldly.
Bobby secretly raised his head and looked at the luxuriant foliage. He could not see the crown of the tree at all.
When he raised his head, he saw the emerald green leaves of the giant tree.
Such a big tree, cutting it down to build a house.
Only Monn could think of that.
Who knew how many little birds lived on such a big tree.
"Then you get the clay, I'll cut down the tree."
Monn felt that it was possible to exchange jobs like this.
He did not have to make the clay himself.
Anyway, as long as there was clay to use, he did not really care about these details.
"Your eminence bishop, can you not be so cruel. Look up, such a big tree, can you imagine how long it has lived first! If you look at the branches, you'll see a lot of birds hatching eggs. You're just building a house. Why do you have to tear down people's homes and kill their children?"
Bobby knew that Munn would never think of this.
He didn't mean any harm when he said he would cut down the tree.
He just saw how tall the tree grew.
That was why Bobby pointed it out to Monn.
He believed that since Monn would even reach out to save him, his sworn enemy didn't want to see him die.
He wouldn't do something like tearing down someone else's house for no reason.
Even if those little birds were just beasts.
They were the weakest species in the forest.
"Then you can chop down another tree. Anyway, we are building a house, which tree we chop down doesn't matter anyway. But if you don't do it, I will do it myself. And if I do it, I will just get the closest one. Maybe I will chop down the wrong tree then."
Monn knew that he had caught Bobby's weak spot.
He might as well use Bobby's soft spot to threaten him and help him chop down the tree.
Bobby did not expect that the grand archbishop would do such a shameful thing to threaten him to help cut down the tree.
Bobby glared at Monn angrily.
He did not say yes or no.
