As A Cardinal, I Don't Do Overtime Chapter 231

"Why are you doing this? Look at yourself now."
Monn was a modern man after all. He couldn't bear to see such cruelty and torture people alive.
"You don't have to be so kind. You humans, how would you understand how difficult life is for us, the lowest level Kobolds?"
Before it could finish, it spat out another mouthful of dark red blood.
Giant Kobold, eh. No.
It was the shrunken Kobold. It raised its head and waited fiercely for Monn.
The reason why it was in this state was because of this human in front of it.
This human was still pretending in front of it.
"The orcs seem to only look at strength and nothing else, right?"
Monn still had a little understanding of the orcs.
But in this world, no matter where it was, wasn't strength the most important thing?
Who had the biggest fist and who had the hardest fist? Who was in charge?
But looking at this Kobold's appearance, it didn't seem to be?
"Only one's strength is important. Ha. That's the real orc race."
The Kobold seemed to have heard a particularly funny, naive joke.
Its face became extremely ugly, as if it had eaten countless dead flies, cockroaches, and toads in one go.
Monn's face became somewhat ugly.
The Kobold had just said was a true orc race.
In other words, the Kobold wasn't a true orc race?
Impossible!
Look at that furry Alaska Kobold.
No matter how one looked at it, one would want to pet it.
There was also that strong male human body with bulging muscles.
It really wasn't about being strong.
If such it wasn't a real orc, then what was a real orc?
Perhaps Monn's shock and doubt was too obvious.
It was obvious that even the Kobold, who hated him so much, couldn't help but spit out another mouthful of blood.

"The Kobold, pig-headed man, and so on that you saw. As long as their heads were bestial, the bodies were human-shaped, it could only maintain this state. It couldn't be completely bestial, and it couldn't be completely human-shaped. It wasn't a true orc race. It was a human slave that was bought back by the orc race to reproduce. It was born from an orc soldier who didn't have the ability to transform into a human."
The Kobold's words made Monn understand why he had never seen a human body with a head in the shape of a beast.
All the orcs he had seen before were just like normal people.
The more powerful the orc, the more beautiful they were and the stronger they were.
That was why when he first saw the giant Kobold, he felt that it was very powerful.
He completely ignored the fact that its head was a giant Kobold.
Later on, when he saw that it was on the Kobold's side, he thought that it was a Kobold race and didn't feel that anything was wrong.
Now that he heard the Kobold's explanation, the truth became very clear.
This Kobold probably had no choice but to make a deal with those existences from the Abyss.
Those existences from the Abyss loved to take advantage of others when they were in danger.
"There's something wrong with both of us. You've chased me for so long, and you've hit me many times. Let's put this matter behind us. In exchange, I'll help you."
Monn said in his heart that it wasn't easy for everyone to live like this.
There was no need to make things difficult for each other.
"Don't glare at me. You have to think about how you Kobolds don't have a Dog God like you anymore. Your days in the future will definitely be very hot. Without your protection, other than being slaves and being slaughtered, they have no other choice. So it's better to die than to stay alive."

Monn tried to reason with it and use his emotions.
"It's useless. I can feel the power in my body draining rapidly. I will die soon."
The Kobold had no desire to live.
To it, being able to live for so many years was not a good thing.
Instead, it was a kind of responsibility and torture.
In order to let those pitiful beings who looked like it live.
It was already very tired from living not so lowly.
"Do you really not want to think about it? After all these years, you have gone through. Don't tell me that at the most difficult time of the race, you will give up? You are the cruelest. You give hope to all those who depend on you, but you give up first. Sometimes faith is more important than anything else."
As a Cardinal, when it came to brainwashing, no one in the world dared to say 'Number 1' when it comes to Monn.
Otherwise, he would not be too ashamed of his profession in this world.
If he wants to increase his followers and make them willing to donate, he must firmly believe in heart.
He had to make them believe in his words.
He had to let them see the light of hope in their dark lives.
Even if the flame was very weak.
He had to have it.
"What do you know? Do you know why the orcs sacrifice the least in every war?"
The Kobold did not have the strength to chase after Monn in order to attack.
It laid on the ground and let the surrounding wind attacked it.
"Isn't it because the orcs were born to fight?"
Monn quickly recalled the battle with the orcs after he came to this world.
There was also the battle with the orcs.
It seemed like what the Kobold said was true. The orcs had very few casualties.
It was so few that it was almost negligible.
Even the orcs had never died.
They were all lightly or seriously injured.
After reading reports, Monn had always felt that the orcs were really strong.
If one day, the human race and the orcs fought each other.
The human race might not have complete confidence in winning.
Unless they used destructive weapons that did not care about their own injuries and did not distinguish between friend and foe.
However, such a destructive weapon was expensive to manufacture and inconvenient to transport.
It was very likely that they would be discovered before they could be transported to the battlefield.
The other party might take action halfway and snatch the destructive weapon away or destroy it.
"That's because the orcs are a very gentle race."
When the giant Kobold said this, Monn could see a hint of mockery on its furry dog face.
Especially when the giant Kobold deliberately emphasized its pronunciation, which was especially gentle.
Monn had an indescribable but extremely bad feeling.
He always felt that the original meaning of the giant Kobold didn't seem to be the gentleness of the orcs.
Instead, it was referring to the cruelty of the orcs?
"What do you mean?"
With an attitude of asking if he didn't understand, Monn lowered his head and rummaged through his system backpack to see if there was anything that could keep the Kobold alive.
He believed that whether it was orcs or humans, they were all attached to life.
Although the Kobold was very dejected right now.
But his heart should still be attached to life.

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!

Yang enrolls in the Imperial Officers’ Academy to study history, but despite his unusual and unmistakeable talent as both a tactician and a scholar, his classmates resent him for being a visible outsider. His Pet | Leatherface X OC (16+)
"Ohhhh, who's this again?" The creep asked. The one with the chainsaw shrugged quickly, looking to his right. I felt my heart jumping out of my stomach and my adrenaline pumping. "Bubba's got a girlfriend!" The creep bounced up and down, chanting that stupid shit. "P-please..." I begged. I looked into the killer's eyes. He looked.. embarrassed? He has emotion? Is that why he's not killing me? I saw him reach out to open the lock but his brother shoved him back, grabbing the lightweight chainsaw as he did. "Either sex... or the saw, Leatherface." His brother held up a chainsaw. I let out a small scream. "Le-leather... f-face?" I gasped, trying to somehow earn more sympathy. He looked at me and nervously fiddled with his tie. Please, dear God, please.... show emotion any emotion! -Warning-SwearingSexual content Sexual tension GoreKillingBloodBad humor;)
