As A Cardinal, I Don't Do Overtime Chapter 228

He was so nervous that he didn't dare to breathe too loudly.
He was afraid that his heartbeat would be disturbed.
He couldn't predict the time when the giant Kobold would attack.
One had to know that if they didn't have a tacit understanding of how to break the spatial barrier.
The backlash would only result in death.
It was very likely that an entire continent would turn into dust.
Monn silently counted his heartbeat.
He had only counted to 24 seconds.
He saw the clock tower-sized icicle that was about to arrive in front of him.
Monn knew that this opportunity would not come again.
He had spent so much strength just for this moment.
He had already accumulated too much strength in his hands. It was so heavy that he was holding it with both hands, and he almost could not use the dimensional slash.
He was still one unit away from the gigantic Kobold's icicles that covered the sky and covered the earth.
It was time.
He finally used the dimensional slash. He let go of it and slashed out toward the empty space where he slashed previously.
It was an attack that was almost at his full strength.
It was a powerful dimensional slash attack to begin with. In addition, there was the gigantic Kobold's icicle behind the dimensional slash as a push.
Without a doubt, a black crack appeared on the spatial barrier, the size of the giant Kobold's bell tower-sized icicle.
"It's done."
Monn wiped the sweat off his forehead.
The Gale spell under his feet reached its peak in an instant.
Before the Paladin army could react, the giant Kobold was stunned.
Monn had already charged into the spatial turbulence, and because the giant Kobold's momentum was too strong, it followed behind Monn and charged into the spatial turbulence.
Normally, when the dimensional barrier was opened, there should be a void passage inside.
However, Monn and the giant Kobold had forcefully opened the spatial barrier and did not meet the requirements for opening the void passage.

Therefore, they entered the spatial turbulence that could tear them apart at any time.
The opening and closing of the void passage was an instant thing.
In the blink of an eye, the void passage that had just been broken, closed.
When Monn saw the void passage closed, his heart finally returned to his stomach.
This giant Kobold was really awesome.
"We'll meet again if we're fated."
"Oh, your cooperation is really not bad. I'll give you a thumbs up."
Monn was in a great mood and could not help but give the giant Kobold a pat on the back.
Of course, he knew that he was no match for this giant Kobold.
Whether it was outside or in this gale that was filled with spatial turbulence.
He used the Space Walking skilfully. His figure floated in the spatial turbulence, stepping on the gale to search for a void passage that could lead out.
The giant Kobold was pierced into its ribs by something in the spatial turbulence countlessly. It finally understood what kind of situation it was in now.
The dark red light on the giant Kobold's body transformed into magic attributes. The magic ripples suddenly burst out with black light.
At the same time, the heavily injured man in the dog temple spat out a mouthful of black blood.
The dog temple collapsed with a bang.
Countless Kobold soldiers of the dog temple were smashed to death in the dog temple.
The heavily injured man trembled as he supported himself with the marble pillar in the dog temple, trying his best not to fall to the ground.
His eyes looked into the void.
"Monn!"
He repeated the name.
The man finally shook his head.
Sure enough, this identity could no longer be used.
The man's body fell to the ground without a trace of life. A middle-aged man's shadow, dressed in the black demon's signature robe, detached from the man's body.
The shadow left the dog temple without any reluctance. It tore open the void with its bare hands and disappeared into the sky above the dog temple.

No one knew what had happened to the dog temple.
They only knew that a divine seat had been emptied, and the dog temple had been destroyed.
Countless believers of the Dog God had started to die.
But Monn did not know this.
Although Monn was using the Space Walking at the moment...
He could not withstand the crazy attacks from the giant Kobold behind him.
"We are both in the space turbulence now, and we are both attacked by the space turbulence. If you have the ability to attack me, think of a way to get out! It's useless for you to bite me and not let me go. Don't be like a mad dog."
After Monn's offensive small magic tools were being destroyed by the giant Kobold, Monn tried to talk sense to the giant Kobold, who was chasing after him like a mad dog.
He wanted the other party to understand that what was the situation.
The giant Kobold's eyes were red. It stared at Monn fiercely and opened his mouth to shoot out a purple-black icicle.
Purple-black?
Monn had never expected that he would accidentally get rid of an existence that was controlled by the abyss of Hell!
He felt a little proud when he thought about it!
But who was this giant Kobold?
None of them were ordinary people that were targeted by those from the abyss of Hell.
"Hey, Hey, hey. Wake up. If you continue to act like this, we'll both die here."
At first, he thought that he had the Space Walking spell.
In the space turbulence, he was absolutely safe.
But who knew that this giant Kobold had an extraordinary background.
His attack power was explosive, and his defense was as strong as a tortoise's shell.
Ever since he entered the space turbulence, this giant Kobold had been hit by all kinds of residual attacks in the space turbulence countless times.
The giant Kobold did not have the ability to dodge nimbly.
Since it had completely relied on the strong defense of its body, it had forcefully endured through it.
Just thinking about it made him felt the pain.
"You, God Slayer."
The black-red light on the giant Kobold's body kept flashing non-stop. It was obvious that it was frantically recovering the body of the giant Kobold.
Seeing this, Monn's scalp tingled.
The giant Kobold's defensive power was already quite a headache.
In addition to this free treatment.
It wouldn't even let people live.
But a God Eater? A God Slayer?
Which one was it?
But which one didn't seem to have anything to do with him!
He was an outsider from another world. How could he snatch a divine seat in this world.
Besides, what was so good about being a God.
So many different kinds of existences were staring at one.
People in the open wanted to compete with one.
People in the dark were always plotting against one, trying to take advantage of one.
A divine seat!
It looked like a fat, juicy piece of meat.
In fact, it was poisonous and full of traps.
No matter how many devout believers there were, at the critical moment, the power of those believers still didn't come from God.
Then the power of God had to come from the believers.
Once the God failed.
Then the believers would still be loyal at the beginning, later they would choose to believe in a stronger God.
Therefore!
The position of God was a big pit.
It corroded God's desire to advance, and invaded God's path to become stronger.
It made God stop painstakingly cultivating, and it made God stop focusing on studying.
It made God completely reduced to a tool of the heavenly axiom's checks and balances.
A tool for the heavenly way to manage the already chaotic world could not be more chaotic, so that the world would not collapse.

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!
