As A Cardinal, I Don't Do Overtime Chapter 89

In St. Servant, Monn stood calmly on the city wall.
The Elendil in his hand once again lit up with a scarlet flame.
The smug smile on the werewolves' general instantly froze.
That worried him, and his fists clenched tightly.
"D*mn it! How could such a troublesome fellow appear among the humans? Isn't he just a cardinal?"
The gloomy werewolves' general was furious, but at the same time, he had a doubt.
Was that man a real cardinal?
The werewolves' general, who could not figure out this question, threw it to the back of his mind.
He looked at the Wolf Warlocks in front of him and said in frustration, "Can you still block that flame?"
"Erm..." one of the Wolf Warlocks, who seemed to be the leader, hesitated for a moment.
Then he looked at the tired faces of the people behind him. He could not help but smile bitterly and said, "General, the magic power in our bodies has been almost consumed by the sea of fire just now. I'm afraid that we would die because of the exhaustion of our power if we do it again."
The general's face became gloomier when he heard that.
How could they still attack with the terrifying temperature of the flame?
The werewolves' general's face darkened. He thought for a while. They should think of a way to get rid of him since they could not get past him.
But how could they get rid of him?
That question had been lingering in general's mind for a long time.
The werewolves' general's assistant saw that the general was worried. He hesitated for a moment and suggested, "General, why don't we apply for that thing from the clan?"
The general's expression changed. He frowned and thought for a moment before saying, "Let's wait and see..."
Monn saw that the werewolves did not dare to launch an attack on the city wall of St. Servant. So, he ordered, "Open the city gate and let the knights kill some werewolves."

Monn held the burning Elendil in his hand and looked calmly at the army of werewolves.
Monn's Holy energy might drain out if he had to use Elendil to burn them, and the war would not end in just a few days.
It would be better to let the Holy Knights kill as many as they could.
The werewolves might kill some of the Holy Knights, but casualties were normal in a war.
He couldn't protect them like a nanny.
Then what was the point of the Orthodox Church forming a Holy Knight Regiment?
Ace immediately came back to her senses. She quickly asked someone to open the city gates and shouted, "Holy Knights, this is your chance. Follow me and charge. Kill the werewolves!"
Saintess Ace took the lead and rushed out after she shouted.
Behind her, the Holy Knights held Holy Spears. They shouted with excited smiles on their faces, "Kill the werewolves! Kill the werewolves!"
They were also excited to see Cardinal Monn scared the werewolves out of their wits.
In addition, the action of the saintess leading the charge made their blood boil. They wished that they could kill a few more werewolves.
In the southern side of St. Servant, the battlefield in charge by the Orthodox Church was boiling with fighting spirit.
The werewolves seemed to be stunned by the shocking fighting spirits. They all stood in a daze, unable to react to the situation.
The werewolves' general saw that and shouted, "Why are you still standing there? Hurry up and get ready to face the enemy. Kill them all!"
The werewolves snapped out of their daze when they heard the general's roar. They charged too.
The Holy Knights and the werewolves confronted.
The sound of battle instantly sounded, and countless blood spilled on the battlefield.
It was hard to tell whether it was the blood of the Holy Knights or the werewolves'.

Saintess Ace held her holy sword and swiftly slaughtered dozens of werewolves.
She was like a rose galloping across the battlefield. But under her beautiful appearance, she was full of poisonous thorns that could kill anyone who touched her. She was beautiful and dangerous.
The werewolves' imposing attitudes had been scared away by Monn's flame. Facing the aggressive Holy Knights, they only try to defend. It gave the Holy Knights an advantage.
The entire southern battlefield showed a one-sided attack.
The Holy Knights' fighting spirits seemed to pierce through the entire sky.
In the battlefield of St. Servant.
The werewolves and royal soldiers were killed and injured.
The entire battlefield was dyed in blood.
The werewolves were extremely bloodthirsty and cruel on the northern battlefield where Monn's flame did not shock the werewolves.
The royal soldiers could not help but feel sleepy and tired after fighting with the werewolves all night.
They could only win in terms of numbers when facing the werewolves' ferocity. It was a tragic sight.
Barton frowned.
Fortunately, they had killed quite a several werewolves with the long-range army. Otherwise, the current battlefield would have been even more tragic.
The two sides of the battlefield in St. Servant formed a sharp contrast.
This situation continued until it was almost five o'clock in the afternoon when there were some changes.
"Report! General! Cardinal Monn and Her Highness the Saintess from the Orthodox Church left the battlefield in the south of St. Servant at five o'clock."
A royal soldier suddenly walked into General Barton's meeting room and reported the situation to Barton.
General Barton frowned when he heard this and said unhappily, "How could they rest in times like this? I think the entire Orthodox Sect is starting to get lazier!"
Barton slammed the table and snorted coldly after saying that.
The royal soldier hesitated for a moment and did not know whether he should continue speaking.
General Barton frowned when he saw the soldier's hesitance and said, "Hurry up and spit it out if you have anything to say. Why are you hesitating?"
The royal soldier quivered and immediately lowered his head and said, "General, it's the matter regarding the battlefield the Saintess and Cardinal Monn were in charge of."
"Why? Did something happen?"
Barton could not help but guess. After all, the two main forces had already left the battlefield. How could nothing happen?
"No... It's not that."
The royal soldier hesitated.
General Barton was even more displeased when he saw that. "Quickly say it!"
"Yes, general!" The royal soldier quickly lowered his head and continued, "The werewolves on the battlefield in the south have already withdrawn from the south area of St. Servant. Moreover, the saintess had specially sent someone to inform them about their departure from work. She said that she was afraid that General Barton would not know and accidentally disturb them during their off-duty hours."
"Hmph!"
General Barton snorted coldly and smashed the entire table into pieces when he heard the last sentence.
He knew that the saintess was taking revenge for yesterday's incident.
Barton recalled the retreat of the werewolf army after he calmed down and asked again, "What happened to the werewolf army there? Why did they retreat?"
The royal soldier hesitated again. He had a trace of doubt towards the information he knew. However, he was afraid that General Barton would be angry, so he could only say, "It seems…seems that it's because of a sword?"
