As A Cardinal, I Don't Do Overtime Chapter 82

Fury roared through Hill's mind after being taunted by the red-haired werewolf.
He raised the huge ax in his hand and attacked the red-haired werewolf fiercely.
His burly body sprinted on the ground.
The entire ground shook and the sand stirred in the wind created from his speed.
He was in front of the red-haired werewolf in split seconds.
The huge ax in his hand swung fiercely.
The strong wind seemed unstoppable.
However, the red-haired werewolf in front of Hill ignored the fierce attack in front of him.
He looked relaxed. He even raised the claw in his hand and put it to his mouth.
He stretched out his bloody smelled long tongue and licked his finger as if he enjoyed it.
Mort's action aroused Hill's anger, making his anger spiked.
His attack also became faster and fiercer.
Clang!
The metallic collision sound resounded throughout the entire battlefield.
The red-haired werewolf gently raised the long claw in his hand with a casual expression.
He blocked Hill's fierce attack easily.
Hill was taken aback as he held his ax.
It was as if he had hacked onto a piece of dense steel.
It made his palm tremble, and a tingling sensation spread throughout his right arm.
Hill quickly jumped back and pulled away from the werewolf when he felt that.
The werewolf's ability alarmed him. He became more cautious toward the werewolf in front of him.
"It seems that this werewolf that looked down upon Major General Hill is powerful too."
The soldiers on the city wall discussed.
However, they still had confidence in Major General Hill. They continued, "Although that werewolf is strong, Major General Hill will kill him with one blow!"
The werewolf suddenly rose and rushed toward Hill just as they were guessing.
Those who were not strong enough could only see a red afterimage quickly passing by.

The next moment, Major General Hill, who was still standing straight, was suddenly stunned.
His eyes widened as if he saw something terrifying.
In an instant, blood spurted out of Hill's body. Hill's mouth opened as if he wanted to say something.
However, his eyes started to lose focus, and his consciousness faded. He could feel nothing other than pain.
Hill did not have the chance to say anything in the end.
He slowly knelt on the ground and lost consciousness.
The red-haired werewolf behind him smiled and looked at Hill with an appetite.
He grabbed Hill's leg and dragged his body back to the werewolf army.
The werewolves immediately let out excited wolf howls when they saw that.
Almost all the soldiers on the city wall look at that in disbelieve.
One of the soldiers looked at Major General Hill's corpse in a daze. He muttered, "No... it's impossible... Major General Hill is so strong, how could he die in an instant..."
Ace looked at the miserable corpse and felt a little sorry for him.
However, that was war. The only thing awaited was death if one was not powerful enough.
On the other hand, General Barton did not show any emotion. On the battlefield, death was the only consequence for people who were not powerful enough.
Moreover, casualties were common in a war.
However, Hill's death brought worries to him.
It was not because of the death of a family member of the Sennas.
It was because Hill's death had greatly affected the confidence of the human side.
Such a scene had made all the soldiers lost their confidence and the urge to win in the war.
The werewolves' general saw that the atmosphere of the human side had started to become gloomy, which was what he wanted to see.

The outcome of the plan satisfied him.
He laughed out loud, "Hahaha! Old Barton, is this the human genius I've heard in rumors? He is too fragile. It's not even enough to fill my wolf cubs' tummy!"
Barton was still calm. There was no expression on his face.
He continued, "Is there anyone else who wants to accept the next challenge?"
His voice was calm and cold.
The soldiers looked at each other. Indeed, no one dared to go forward anymore.
At this moment, a cold voice sounded, "General Barton, I, Cheryl requests to accept the challenge!"
Barton finally showed some emotions when he heard that voice.
He could not help but raise his eyebrows and look at the eldest princess.
Cheryl's face was as cold, without any expression.
But fury rose in her like a tide.
The scene just now had spiked her anger.
Barton looked at Princess Cheryl and was silent for a moment, then asked, "Are you sure, Cheryl?"
He did not address Cheryl as a princess. On the battlefield, even a princess with a noble status was just a special rank soldier.
However, Barton still asked cautiously because of her special status.
Cheryl did not hesitate at all and nodded.
Barton said nothing more when he saw her determination. After all, that was the princess's decision.
Moreover, he looked at the red-haired werewolf opposite him. He had also sensed his initial stage of Holy Rank ability.
The princess would not be dead with her equivalent initial stage Holy Rank ability while fighting against Mort.
Of course, that was under the condition where the werewolves hadn't play any tricks or sneak attack her.
Moreover, even if the werewolves went back on their word and wanted to attack the princess in a group, Barton was confident of his ability to save the princess from experiencing a life-threatening danger.
Thus, he nodded. "Alright, since you've decided, I'll not interfere in your decision."
Barton made way for Princess Cheryl.
Princess Cheryl saluted and turned to look at Monn. Without any hesitation, she directly leaped out of the city wall.
Monn had a new impression on Cheryl when he saw her jump down the city wall.
He did not expect that this woman accepted the challenge without the slightest hesitation under the situation where so many soldiers backed off.
On the battlefield, the werewolves saw a female human jumping down. They were all stunned.
Then they burst into laughter.
The werewolves mocked, "Is there no one better in the Kingdom of Kate? They let a woman come down to accept the challenge. How ridiculous! Haha!"
When the red-haired werewolf saw such a beautiful woman coming down, his wolf eyes immediately lit up.
His green eyes were glowing.
He wiped his drool and chuckle, "Humans are hospitable. They know that the men had rough meat, and they even specially sent me a woman with delicate skin and tender flesh. I'll thank you in advance then!"
Fury vibrated through Cheryl when she heard the werewolves' taunts.
She stared at them with her greenish-gray eyes and said coldly, "Stop babbling and start the match!"
Her words astonished the red-haired wolf. "Wow, you're quite a fiesty woman."
"I'll be delighted to make you into my meal at once since you are so impatient!"
The red-haired werewolf instantly charged towards Cheryl with a red afterimage of him as soon as he finished speaking!

The Last Death Mage
Since time immemorial humanity has always feared and shunned what it didn’t understand. Over time this changed a bit to encompass things that didn’t conform to their thoughts and ideals. Due to humanity’s stubbornness with which the enforced their ideals many lives were lost and changed. When humanity first clashed with monsters and the beings that use magic, this trait caused many bloody fights. Over time the fights escalated into battles and full on war on several occasions. Humanity due to their adaptability and persistence won many of these altercations, causing huge casualties to the magical beings. Humanity did not come out unscathed however; many of the empires and civilizations noted in human history fell due to these battles and wars. Eventually over time humanity and the magical beings came to a sort of agreement. Magic and the beings associated with it faded into the background of history, being relegated to myth and legend. Humanity meanwhile advanced leaps and bounds once magic faded, leading to our current level of civilization. Not all magical beings were content with this, thus they did their own actions and killed or fed on humans. This has led to many organizations to be formed concerning this, on both the side of humanity and the side of magical beings. They regulate and control the use of magic as well as protect humanity from the darker things that are now not but myth to them, but there is a reason humanity instinctually fears the dark. Unfortunately there are always those that are unsatisfied by the status quo, and those that are prejudiced against things that are different. This is a story of a young man who wanted nothing more than to be normal. Unfortunately Fate and the world he lives in do not easily allow that this, thus his life changed, not for the better. Everyone has heard of or read stories about monsters and legends, heroes and villains, this is one such story. Hi, this is my second attempt at a story here, the first was before the major overhaul happened and i lost everything related to that story due to PC troubles. I hope you enjoy this if you dont please leave some constructive criticism in the comments. An Editor and the like will be needed, but I will edit as problems are pointed out and as i proof read. This story will have no set schedule, unless of course I decide to type up a bunch in succession then i will note that in a chapter beforehand. ADDED NOTE: most sexual content will be in Interludes or sub chapters with a .5 attached. Profanity and gore however shall be plenty in the actual story, though the descriptives for the gore may be added later. (For example, in the prologue that gave a hint at what happened to the MC, will be enhanced so that the gore invokes more descriptive/complete mental pictures, though it may wait.) ~Tyroth Gideon
