As A Cardinal, I Don't Do Overtime Chapter 79

Saint Selvan, Meng En's small villa.
Late at night, Meng En sat on the bed and gently waved the holy sword in his hand.
A golden light streaked across the sky.
With a gentle breeze, Meng En looked at the increasingly beautiful Elendil, and his heart grew fonder.
"Isn't this much better than Ace's Holy Sword?"
Meng En gently stroked Elendil, and his heart was filled with joy.
When he first learned that the reward was a holy sword, he was a little disappointed.
He even thought that if it was a holy sword of Ace's level, it would be better to use it as a toy for Elma.
In the end, this holy sword was a big surprise to him.
He carefully examined the inscriptions on the sword.
He suddenly had an idea, a gut feeling, that if he injected his holy power into the sword, something would happen.
Meng En pondered for a moment and chose to follow his intuition.
He held up Elendil and slowly infused the holy power from his body into the hilt of the sword.
In an instant, the entire holy sword seemed to come to life.
The unknown inscriptions on the sword suddenly emitted a pure white light.
In the next moment, a buzzing sound seemed to be heard.
The entire sword suddenly glowed brightly.
Pure white flames suddenly enveloped the entire sword, lighting up Meng En's room.
When Meng En saw this situation, his face could not help but reveal a surprised expression.
He gently swung Elendil.
Hu Hu ~ ~
The sound of a roaring sea of fire exploded in Meng En's ears.
The temperature of the entire room suddenly rose, as if the air in the entire room was burning up.
Seeing this, Meng En hurriedly stopped holding the sword in his right hand, afraid that this Elendil would burn down the small villa that he had spent a lot of money to buy.

However, Meng En liked this Elendil more and more, especially because Meng En felt that it also had a power that he was still unable to control.
Although this holy sword did not reveal it, in his heart, Meng En had this feeling.
He believed that this holy sword would definitely be of great use at some point in the future.
After putting Elendil back into the scabbard, Meng En opened the system again and continued, "System, use today's lucky draw opportunity."
Taking advantage of his good luck. Meng En hurriedly asked the system to use the weekly lucky draw opportunity.
[The lucky draw is starting. The lucky draw is over. Congratulations on obtaining a box of exquisite bait! ]
Meng En:"..."
As expected, the system was still the same system. There was no hope for him at all.
However, all in all, it was already a big surprise for him to be able to obtain this holy sword that he has come to love so much. As for the lucky draw, it was only the icing on the cake.
If he could get something useful, it would be great.
But if he didn't get it, Meng En wasn't disappointed.
After all, the results still mattered a lot to him.
After managing his emotions, Meng En was ready to go to bed.
But he didn't know if it was because he got Elendil or because of some other reason, which caused Meng En to toss and turn in bed, unable to fall asleep.
It was only when the sky was about to brighten the next morning that he finally fell asleep.
By the time it was almost nine o'clock in the morning, according to his biological clock, he should have already woken up.
However, due to the insomnia from the excitement last night, he finally slept in.
Fortunately, he still remembered that nine o'clock in the morning was his working time, so he forced himself to get up.

Meng En rubbed his drowsy eyes and sat up abruptly from the bed.
"Oh no, I haven't prepared breakfast for Elma this morning!"
Meng En instantly woke up. Thinking of how his Elma would go to school hungry this morning, he could not help but pat his head in annoyance.
At this moment, a crisp voice sounded beside his bed.
"Daddy Meng En, don't worry, I didn't go to school today."
Meng En was stunned when he heard the voice.
Because he had just woken up and was worried about Elma's condition, even with his saint-level abilities, Meng En did not notice there was a person standing beside his bed.
Fortunately, this was not an enemy, but the Elma that he had been longing for.
Meng En turned his head and saw Elma lying on the headboard of Meng En's bed.
Her two petite arms held her pink little face, and her big eyes stared at the dazed Meng En with amusement.
Meng En saw Elma and blurted out, "I'm sorry, Elma. It's all Daddy's fault for sleeping late last night and not making breakfast for you."
Meng En felt guilty, thinking that it was because he did not make breakfast for Elma that she did not go to school.
However, Elma shook her head, as if she had guessed what Meng En was thinking, she said, "No, it's not because of daddy. The teacher came to inform us today that all the schools in St. Selvans will be closed from today onwards."
"All closed?"
Hearing this news, Meng En was shocked and confused.
At this moment, Elma explained, "It seems that the werewolves suddenly launched an attack on St. Selvans. For safety reasons, the school was shut down."
Werewolf attack?
When Meng En heard this news, he was bewildered.
Why did the attack come so suddenly when he came back yesterday?
However, he was not a werewolf, so he naturally could not guess what the werewolves were thinking.
Seeing that it was almost nine o'clock, Meng En raised his eyebrows.
He hurriedly ran to the bathroom to wash up, and then changed into a clean red bishop's outfit.
After all, she had to wear red clothes every day. Other than a few pieces of home clothes, the whole closet was filled with red clothes.
After tidying up his clothes, Meng En picked up Elma. After all, he had not forgotten that his Elma had not eaten breakfast yet.
Walking through a space portal, Meng En suddenly disappeared from his home.
In the sanctuary, Meng En's figure suddenly appeared on the street.
He first led Elma to the place where Sister Millie was now.
He handed Elma, who hadn't had breakfast, to Sister Millie.
Because of the werewolves' attack, Meng En was worried about leaving Elma alone at home. Since Elma hadn't had breakfast yet, he brought her to Millie's place. At the same time, in the sanctuary, Meng En was more at ease.
After settling Elma down, Meng En walked towards the place where Andrew was.
Just as he reached the door, Meng En suddenly saw a few familiar figures.
One was the eldest princess, Sheryl, who was wearing a custom-made lightweight armor, and General Barton, who was wearing heavy armor and a red scarf around his neck.
Next was Saint Ace, who should still be in the capital.
Although he was puzzled, Meng En did not ask at the first moment. He bowed to Andrew and greeted, "Your Holiness Andrew."
Andrew nodded slightly and said, "I don't need to introduce these people to you, right? Meng En in red."
Meng En nodded slightly.

The Last Death Mage
Since time immemorial humanity has always feared and shunned what it didn’t understand. Over time this changed a bit to encompass things that didn’t conform to their thoughts and ideals. Due to humanity’s stubbornness with which the enforced their ideals many lives were lost and changed. When humanity first clashed with monsters and the beings that use magic, this trait caused many bloody fights. Over time the fights escalated into battles and full on war on several occasions. Humanity due to their adaptability and persistence won many of these altercations, causing huge casualties to the magical beings. Humanity did not come out unscathed however; many of the empires and civilizations noted in human history fell due to these battles and wars. Eventually over time humanity and the magical beings came to a sort of agreement. Magic and the beings associated with it faded into the background of history, being relegated to myth and legend. Humanity meanwhile advanced leaps and bounds once magic faded, leading to our current level of civilization. Not all magical beings were content with this, thus they did their own actions and killed or fed on humans. This has led to many organizations to be formed concerning this, on both the side of humanity and the side of magical beings. They regulate and control the use of magic as well as protect humanity from the darker things that are now not but myth to them, but there is a reason humanity instinctually fears the dark. Unfortunately there are always those that are unsatisfied by the status quo, and those that are prejudiced against things that are different. This is a story of a young man who wanted nothing more than to be normal. Unfortunately Fate and the world he lives in do not easily allow that this, thus his life changed, not for the better. Everyone has heard of or read stories about monsters and legends, heroes and villains, this is one such story. Hi, this is my second attempt at a story here, the first was before the major overhaul happened and i lost everything related to that story due to PC troubles. I hope you enjoy this if you dont please leave some constructive criticism in the comments. An Editor and the like will be needed, but I will edit as problems are pointed out and as i proof read. This story will have no set schedule, unless of course I decide to type up a bunch in succession then i will note that in a chapter beforehand. ADDED NOTE: most sexual content will be in Interludes or sub chapters with a .5 attached. Profanity and gore however shall be plenty in the actual story, though the descriptives for the gore may be added later. (For example, in the prologue that gave a hint at what happened to the MC, will be enhanced so that the gore invokes more descriptive/complete mental pictures, though it may wait.) ~Tyroth Gideon
