As A Cardinal, I Don't Do Overtime Chapter 48

"I was wondering who killed my little cutie. So it's the famous Captain Lucious."
After the blood formed its pattern, a beautiful woman with bright red waist-length hair walked out of it.
She was holding a glass of scarlet liquid in her hand, with a playful smile on her face.
She sat back, and groups of bats automatically formed a chair for her to use.
Lucius saw who it was and said sternly, "It seems that the reason for the Monsters Riot has been found, but we're in trouble now."
Lucius was afraid that Monn would not understand, so he took the initiative to speak about her.
"This is the Count of the Blood Clan, Count Miranda. In order to satisfy her appetite, she massacred the entire town of human. She is extremely powerful and had reached the Saint-level many years ago."
On the other side, Miranda listened to Lucius'description of her and shook her head in dissatisfaction, "Captain Lucius is missing out on a few points. I am the most charming Blood Clan, and..."
Miranda deliberately paused for a moment, licked her red lips with her tongue, and said in a seductive tone, "I like young and handsome male humans the most."
Miranda's appearance made all the Holy Knights present quiver.
They had long heard of the name of the Vampire Miranda. They did not expect that they would be in big trouble before they could even break out of the Monsters encirclement.
"What should we do?"
A Knight asked.
"What else can we do? Either we kill our way out, or we become the vampire's food."
Lucius'gaze was firm as he said, "Cardinal Monn lead the Knights to break out of the encirclement. I will stop this vampire."
After saying that, Lucius took out the Holy Spear that he had fought with for many years and rushed towards Miranda.
Monn looked at Lucius'back and said helplessly, "I'm about to get off work."
Miranda saw Lucius rushing over and said unhurriedly, "Lucius, you're already so old. Can't that handsome young man do it instead?"

Lucius used the Holy Spear Baptism to stab at the vampire.
Countless shadows of the spear continued to stab forward with Holy Light.
He mocked, "Count Miranda isn't that old but was only about the same age as my grandmother."
Miranda, who was controlling her hair to block the attack of Lucius's Holy Spear, had a dark expression on her face and stood up.
She slightly clenched her right hand in front of her and the shadow under her feet suddenly transformed into a black spear. She started to engage in close combat with Lucius.
The two spears collided, and the sound of metal clashing rang out.
One black and one white, as if they were natural enemies, not giving in at all.
Every fierce battle brought about waves.
Although Lucius was only at the high-level Saint tier, his overall strength could still fight with the Miranda Vampire to a draw.
Lucious's strength made the Holy Knights very excited.
"Captain Lucius has stalled that vampire. We can't waste the Captain's efforts! Start breaking out of the encirclement!"
Philip raised his arms and shouted.
The underground Holy Knights responded one after another.
Only Monn sighed. "I'm about to get off work."
At the center of the battlefield.
Lucius waved his hand vigorously. After forcing Miranda to retreat, his blood and energy surged, and a mouthful of blood flowed down from the corner of his mouth.
Miranda jumped back lightly, appearing relaxed and at ease.
Lucius knew that he was not Miranda's opponent, but he did not think that he could defeat Miranda. As long as he could hold her off, it would be fine as long as Cardinal Monn led the Holy Knights to break out.
However, Miranda did not want Lucius to succeed.
She stabbed her shadow spear into the ground and said impatiently, "I'm getting a little tired of it."
As soon as she said that, almost all the shadows in the vicinity seemed to have been summoned by something and gathered together.
She raised her right hand and a huge Shadow Hand rose at the same time.

All the Knights had their mouths agape and their eyes glazed over.
"We can't dodge this..."
It was impossible for them to dodge attacks with such scale.
The aura of despair spread through the crowd.
"Hahaha! !"
Miranda laughed out loud, "I really like the expression of despair on human's face!"
"Damn it!"
Lucious hit the ground hard.
To be honest. This kind of attack was nothing to a Saint-level powerhouse.
However, these Knights would not be spared.
This was Miranda's trick.
Then... Would Lucius live on his own, or would he choose to do the right thing and save the others?
Miranda's red eyes became brighter and brighter. This was her happy expression.
Just as Lucius decided to use the forbidden Life Spell to burn himself and save the crowd, a calm voice suddenly sounded, "Lucius, I'll be off work in one minute."
Off work?
Lucius was stunned for a moment, and then he was furious. What time was it that he still had such thoughts.
For a moment, Lucius felt a little sad.
After Miranda heard it, she sneered, "Huh? Off work? There's actually such a ridiculous rule in the righteous sect?"
Then, she snorted again, "Let's not talk about this ridiculous rule first. Today's work is not something that you can get off just because you want to!"
Monn looked at the pocket watch and said calmly, "You're so noisy, old woman."
"Old! Woman!"
These words instantly infuriated this female vampire who cared a lot about her age.
Her eyes were wide open, and her voice seemed to be squeezed out of her throat, "You're dead!"
In the next moment, countless shadows pounced on Monn, wanting to devour him until not even his bones were left!
"There's still 30 seconds left. That should be enough."
Monn kept his pocket watch, and his calm voice rang in everyone's ears.
For some unknown reason, when they heard his calm and unperturbed words, a wave of hope actually rose in everyone's hearts.
Even Lucius was the same.
"Could it be..."
He did not dare to believe it in his heart, but there was also anticipation in it.
Meanwhile, Miranda suddenly had a bad premonition in her heart.
"Monster Sealing Dance."
When the voices rang out, the area within a fifty-meter radius, including Miranda, suddenly fell silent.
Miranda's expression froze in malevolence, and even the leaves stopped falling from the air.
"This is! Having the space sealed!" Lucius was very experienced, and he could see the situation inside at a glance.
But what about after the seal?
In the next moment, the endless wind blades told him the answer.
It was as if they were in two different worlds.
They were outside the world and everything was calm.
However, Miranda was going to be hit by the fierce wind continuously.
The Holy Knights were also full of anticipation.
Could it be that they could survive? !
After more than ten seconds, Monn's Holy Wower was exhausted and the Spell was stopped.
Looking at the time, it was just the right time, so he said, "I'm off work. See you in the Holy Church tomorrow."
After saying that, Cardinal directly walked back to his house Space Walking, leaving them to look at each other in dismay.
"This... is it resolved?"
One of the Knights looked at Miranda who did not seem to have changed much, and braved enough to ask.
The others also looked at each other, indicating that they were not sure.
Because Miranda did not seem to have changed much other than not moving at all.
At this moment, a gust of wind blew past, and Miranda's entire body instantly turned into powder, drifting into the distance with the wind.
"Hiss --"
The sound of incessant gasp came from the Monster Forest.
