I Have The Halo Of Overbearing President Chapter 48

She waited for someone to open the door, but there was a strange noise behind her. Chu Chu turned her head and saw that the neighbor opened a crack in the door vigilantly, took a peek at her and then closed the iron door.
Chu Chu was taken aback by the sneaky behavior and only felt weird.
The sound insulation of the old residential building wasn’t good. It didn’t take long for her to hear the neighbor say at home, “Oh, the shrew next door didn’t lie! She really has a pretty daughter-in-law!”
“Why are you shouting again? Didn’t you say that the matchmaker failed…”
“I’m just mad. She said she has a good son. Look at her, so prideful! Why doesn’t her son buy a house or a car if he’s really good? Except for his face, how is he any good?”
Standing in the narrow aisle, Chu Chu heard the couple’s short argument, trivial, like falling from a high-end and exquisite Korean drama to a very earthy family ethics drama.
The heavy iron door was opened and a middle-aged woman wearing an apron appeared with hands on her hips, cursing in Chongqing dialect, “What did you say? You know a fart!”
“Zhang Yafang, don’t be shrewish and make a scene!” The neighbor heard a familiar voice and went out to curse.
Zhang Yafang pushed the door fiercely and wanted to come forward and argue with the other person, but the neighbor refused to give in. The two sides confronted each other. The middle-aged aunt’s fight was the most terrible and no one dared to persuade her.
“Stop–” Chu Chu couldn’t stand it any longer and made a pause gesture to mediate.
Zhang Yafang wondered, “Who are you?”
Chu Chu said indifferently, “The neighborhood committee mediator. You mustn’t fight, to build a civilized community together.”
Zhang Yafang: “???”
Upon seeing that, the neighbor rolled her eyes at Zhang Yafang, “Seeing that there is a guest in your house, I won’t bother you today!”

The neighbor closed the door and left after speaking. She could be afraid of Zhang Yafang’s sturdiness or may have really not cared.
Chu Chu reminded her timely, “Hello Auntie, I am Zhang Jianian’s colleague. I heard that he is sick, so I came to visit him.”
Zhang Yafang looked at Chu Chu from head to toe. She wiped her hands on the apron in a panic, losing her prestige. She didn’t speak Chongqing dialect anymore, but switched to awkward Mandarin and said, “Ah, please come in, Jianian is out… he will be back soon!”
Chu Chu nodded and handed the bag in her hand to Zhang Yafang, “Auntie, this is for you…”
Zhang Yafang reached out to pick it up and said politely, “Why did you bring something?!”
Chu Chu: “I didn’t know what to bring, so I brought two kilograms of work materials…” waiting for Zhang Jianian to deal with it.
Zhang Yafang: “Okay, good, you’re too kind!”
Chu Chu followed Zhang Yafang into the house. The floor of the room had very old-fashioned floor tiles and the decoration style was quite ancient, like the last century style. The house was clean, giving Chu Chu the feeling of returning to her hometown during the New Year.
Zhang Yafang looked at Chu Chu who was wearing an expensive suit. Her style was completely different from that of the house. Zhang Yafang enthusiastically suggested, “Why don’t you go to the Jianian’s room and wait. He will be back in a while!”
Zhang Yafang only knew that her son worked in a very powerful company and his colleagues were rich and of extraordinary value. Naturally, she dared not neglect Chu Chu and tried to make her feel at home. She was obviously very concerned about Chu Chu’s visit. She was as busy as a bee and said in confusion, “I, do you want me… coffee?”
“Thank you, Auntie, but I am fine,” Chu Chu declined in embarrassment. She didn’t expect that she would come at the wrong time, let alone that Zhang Jianian was living with his family.

Zhang Yafang was a little distressed and stared at Chu Chu with expectant eyes, “Then what will you like to drink?”
Chu Chu could hardly refuse the love of the elders, so she had to say, “Boiled water is fine.”
Zhang Yafang successfully fed President Chu a cup of boiled water and left contentedly.
Chu Chu wandered around in Zhang Jianian’s room and finally found some traces of his life. All kinds of materials were neatly placed on the concise and generous computer desk. There were rows of heavy foreign books on the shelves, clean shirts and dark single beds on the hangers. In addition, there were no other furnishings in the room.
Chu Chu thought of her luxurious community and the Chu family mansion and felt like a wicked capitalist.
Chu Chu: My subordinates are poor and I still have the face to spend money like dirt.
Chu Chu waited boredly for a moment and then heard a sound coming from the kitchen. Chu Chu stood at the door and watched.
Zhang Yafang noticed her arrival and quickly asked in awkward Mandarin, “Do you have anything you don’t eat?”
“No, Auntie, let me help you.”
Chu Chu smelled the aroma of the dishes and was a little hungry.
She hadn’t eaten home-cooked food for a long time.
“No need! Go and sit down!” Zhang Yafang said.
Zhang Jianian slowly went upstairs carrying a plastic bag, unaware that something unusual happened. He forgot to bring his phone when he went out. He was a little uneasy and felt anxious about missing information. This was a common problem of modern people. Zhang Jianian thought of taking sick leave. It should be fine to leave the communication equipment for a short time, so he comforted himself in his heart.
During this period of time, Zhang Jianian was exhausted. To be precise, since he came to Yinda Investment, no day had been easy. President Chu used to be irritable, unreasonable and put great pressure on people. She forced countless chairman’s confidants out. Nowadays, her personality had improved and she had begun to be reasonable, but she was talking about false reasons, still giving him great mental pressure.
Zhang Jianian thought of President Chu and then thought of the previous day’s event and suddenly felt weak. He hadn’t thought of a solution yet and he couldn’t talk about that kind of thing to anyone. So he could only hide at home and stay away from the company temporarily.
But staying at home was also bad. He was oppressed by President Chu at the company and his mother at home.
Zhang Jianian took out the key to the house and when he opened the door, he saw the scariest scene in his life.
Zhang Yafang and President Chu gathered together and were happily communicating. Zhang Yafang spoke in the familiar Sichuan-Chongqing accent, excitedly talking about the parents’ shortcomings, while the rich President Chu had rolled her sleeves and sat on the side to pick vegetables. The room was filled with joy and the two terrible women were talking and laughing.
Zhang Yafang saw Zhang Jianian, who stood stiff at the door and said, “Hey, you’re back!”
In the next second, Zhang Jianian closed the door. He faced the iron door, hoping that he had just made a mistake and tried to open the door again.
Zhang Jianian: How could two demons of hell appear at the same time? This is as unreasonable as two suns being in the sky!
Zhang Jianian hoped this was a dream, but desperately heard the voice inside the door.
Zhang Yafang: “What tricks is he playing again, he is so confused…”
Chu Chu: “Maybe he is too happy to come home and wants to reopen the door.”
Zhang Jianian: “…”
