Master Of Myths Chapter 77

The nauseating feeling of being moved at high speed came once he started to feel through the blood drop, it was like he was free-falling while doing backflips at the same time
'Huugh'
He wanted to throw up but couldn't with this new body, perhaps that was for the best though, he wouldn't want to throw up into someone else's body
Feeling the high-speed fall wasn't slowing down anytime soon he decided to stop it himself, so even though he couldn't feel much of his surroundings he started to wiggle around, adding to his discomfort, and spread his body in a way that he could latch him to the first thing that his bloody tendril caught
His efforts were successful after his third time wanting to hurl as he grappled onto some sort of flesh wall
'Cracks? Her body is falling apart much quicker once the Biomass was injected'
Seeing the damage that already reached her digestive rout system he knew he didn't have too much time, he had already put measures to slow down the Biomass but it wasn't enough to stop it, that would be his mission
Seeping into the cracks he fled the digestive system and found his way into her bloodstream instead
'This is? It is much better than I thought'
The bloodstream was nothing like the blood root's for the uncountable chains of glittering blood intertwining through the veins made the place feel like that of a fantasy land than the inside of a human's body
But this wasn't what surprised YuJu, it was the fact that moving inside the bloodstream was now seamless to him, it was so easy and relaxing that he didn't feel as if he would be wiped out anytime soon, even with the chaos the blood was in because of the foreign liquid's invasion he wasn't affected due to the protection of the chains
'This is a nice bonus'
It was a great piece of information but this wasn't the most important part of his plan, so he flowed through the stream looking for any sign of what conflict
'Am I that small?'
It's been an hour since he started looking through the stream, or at least it felt like it has, he was considering whether his size was much smaller than he imagined for this to be possible as he did not spot what he needed to check yet even though it should be all over Ellis's body
'Maybe I should end the search and start from her leg next time? Perhaps going through the digestive system was a very bad idea'
Reconsidering the feasibility of him finding the way to her leg's bloodstream he decided to redo his try, this time changing his starting point
Letting his conscience dissipate he found himself back in his body, Ellis still kneeling in front of him while Belinda watched from the side
"How much time has passed?"
He asked Ellis without minding Belinda, she didn't understand his words so he wasn't worried she would know he didn't have much knowledge of his own skills
Advertisement
"Umm, a few minutes Master, I do not know exactly how much time though, would you like me to count it next time?"
"No, I just wanted an estimate, now I will drip the blood directly into your leg"
She nodded and made another small cut on her now swollen leg allowing his blood to seep into her leg while his conscience sank into it
'This is more like it'
He got his bearings pretty quickly and didn't suffer from any bad feelings, perhaps due to the chains taking effect in her bloodstream
He started to explore through the blood and it took him less than a minute of his own seemingly faster time to locate what he had been searching for, or at least what would lead to what he searched for
The gelatine like small drops flowed along the blood while devouring some purple clots, they were decomposing the clots and turning them into their own before moving onto their surrounding normal blood
The gelatin attacked the normal blood that belonged to Ellis just as it did the purple poison that originated from poisoned plains, but the result wasn't a one-sided slaughter, instead it was a fierce battle
'Haah'
It brought him relief to see his bloody chains fighting back against the Biomass, this proved that the Master Limiter protected the blood from any and all foreign manipulation and not only evolution
'Now, let's see if those skills work in tandem or conflict with each other'
He already knew Ellis wasn't in any danger after seeing his blood chains protect her, but whether or not all this effort would go in vain or be successful would be determined next
Preparing his mind by giving his utmost focus he started to spread his blood drop into a circular shape, one large enough to encase the invading predator in front of him, then he waited, waited for the moment where the thing was entangled thoroughly with the bloody chains before swooping onto it and covering it entirely along his chains
A burning sensation came within him, followed by a cold one, then a numb feeling, as it alternated between the various types of pain it ate away at him from the inside trying to get out, and it didn't look like it would take too much time
'Can't hold it all in!'
Hurriedly opening holes in his body he let the Biomass escape in large quantities, only when the amount left was barely a quarter of his size did he wrap it like a cacoon along with the chains still fighting it
'Here goes nothing'
Hoping for the best but also expecting the worst he started extracting the small part of Biomass
As he extracted it a white mist started to seep out the cocoon, unlike the red mist from his first purification attempt back on earth this mist didn't get eaten by the surrounding blood cells, instead it was eating whatever it saw, though that caused it to suffer at the hands of his chains
Advertisement
'So many useless bloodlines'
While he extracted he could feel the presence of many bloodlines, the majority among them were snake bloodlines since that was the staple food of this creature when it was under the care of Belinda, then there was the poison he wanted thins thing to devour, its presence was heavy in the mist but not strong enough to wipe the bloodlines entirely
'It's still enough for a good change, now for the chains'
He was halfway through the Biomass but only decided to touch the chains now
'If I fail to purify bloodlines because of the limiter then I don't see much practicality to the skill, but if I could purify the bloodlines with the limiter active then…'
Then the possibilities were endless, he wanted to think but didn't want to get too excited
Not wanting to keep himself in suspense any longer he moved onto extracting the chains along the Biomass
The feeling he got in response was hitting a hard surface, so hard he felt like he bit into stone
'Come on!'
The heartbeat-like movement of the cocoon became harder and each beat lasted longer, trying to chip away at its content
'I don't believe these skills were created to be separate!'
There was no way they were not supposed to work in tandem, they had to be in synergy
'Break!!'
Yelling in his mind he shrunk to the limit squeezing the chains until there was no more room to squeeze
Badum, Badum
The cocoon beat like a heart, a determined one, so determined that when it failed it knew not what to do other than keep beating
'...It actually doesn't have synergy'
His disappointment was immense, he thought he was already prepared to face this fact but his preparations were for nought, the same heavy feeling of failure came to him, one he kept feeling before going back in time
'Haah…. Whatever, let me check if it can a useful supplement fo her I guess'
He wasn't going o make the entirety of the Biomass that got into her a supplement but he might as well find out what it could do
So after boringly extracting the Biomass until he was only a tiny droplet of blood protected by the white mist, he allowed it to seep into the surrounding blood
'As I thought'
Just as he feared the chains interfered with the mist, stopping it from joining the blood
'Hmm?'
His consciousness dissipated as he couldn't hold his tiny self anymore
"Its been under a minute Master"
Ellis faithfully reported but saw him instantly cut himself and drip into her wound once again, he was much more hurried than last time
Unsure of what he saw YuJu decided not to make wild guesses, no matter how exciting they were, instead he looked around her blood and found another part of the Biomass fighting the bloody chains, this one seemed to have been fighting for a while and didn't look like it ate any poison
'That doesn't matter for now'
He wasn't concerned with the poison now, he first needed to validate his guess
Covering the Biomass once like he did before he allowed most of it to escape before extracting what remained and turning it to mist
'I hope I saw it right'
Once he was but a tiny drop he allowed the mist to move into the surrounding blood, not all of it like before though as he retained enough mist to protect him as he witnessed the process
Just like before the chains blocked the mist from going into the blood, but it didn't fight it either, instead, it absorbed the mist itself
'It's feasible!'
This discovery was huge, this meant the two skills did have synergy, he just didn't know how to trigger it before
Excited he spread the mist around and his consciousness went back to his body, then without a second's wait he returned to purifying Biomass after Biomass, he was picky in his next purifications as he only chose well-fed Biomasses and ignored the normal ones or ones that only ate a small piece of poison before getting tangled with the blood
A couple of purifications later he noticed exhaustion catching up to him slightly, but it was far from dissuading him from finishing this task
"Master, are you okay?"
Asked Ellis a little worried, he looked paler and was sweating, plus his earlier behaviour made her guilty for having him do all this to heal her, even if she wasn't guilty though she would still worry
"I am, do not worry, just focus on resisting the Biomass inside you, I will use it to heal you"
He spoke confidently before plunging back into her bloodstream with another drop
Watching his veins bulge through his skin Ellis started to worry once again, she guessed he obviously knew this happened to him once he did whatever he was doing but the sight was very dangerous, in more than one way
"Hoho?"
She heard the snake woman exclaim and looked to the side wondering what made her finally speak, but that was a huge mistake as the mesmerising trance once again hit her unguarded mind, this caused her to heat up greatly, and only with much struggle did she snap out of it one her own
She turned her head back to the front in order to avoid the snake's temptation, which really didn't help as she was eye to eye with what she had been trying to avoid every since she kneeled in front of the naked him
This sight was much harder to endure than the battle taking place inside her, especially when every time she felt a part of her leg go numb 'he' started to twitch with her heartbeat
"Gulp"
Loudly gulping Ellis fought her own tiresome battle, one of both mind and body

Sometimes, I am able to get out earlier chapters. Note: This story is not a typical fanfiction. It is mainly an authentic work. This story only uses monster names/appearances, names of locations and the orb-matching strategy combat system from the app game on android/ios. The rest is original, which means prior knowledge for readers is not required. The app game has no plot, and this work also has no relation whatsoever to the anime aired starting in 2016. The goal was to create a story using these monsters, giving them personalities and purposes beyond just images and stats.
