"You don't have to. I'm already a grown-up."
Rant Valo shook his head and replied to her. She was really enjoying pampering him.
"Muu."
Veia pouted hearing Rant Valo's reply.
After walking through the hallways, Rant Valo and Veia finally arrived at the dining hall.
"Oh, there's a lot of people."
Veia said from the side.
There were at least 50 people were inside. It was a banquet with a lot of visitors.
"The Saintess' Disciple is here!"
The announcer shouted.
Immediately, every head in the room turned towards them.
"That is the Saintess' Disciple? He seems so plain."
One of the guests commented with a frown.
"I heard that he claims that he's a villager. He's just a lucky fish."
Another added to the guest.
"Disciple!"
Floriana Sabina called out from the side. She was already back to wearing her frilly white dress.
"Master Floriana!"
Rant Valo walked towards her with a smile. He wasn't used to not seeing her for a day. It made him realize that he had actually spent a long time of his recent days with her.
"Hmph. How are you, Disciple? I heard that the 3rd Princess is trying to woo you."
Floriana Sabina snorted as she looked at Rant Valo, displeased.
"I know right? She kept on insisting and insisting on marrying me."
Rant Valo nodded his head as he complained to her.
"Hoh, you rejected her?"
Floriana Sabina raised an eyebrow in surprise after hearing Rant Valo's words.
"Yes. She was very annoying."
Rant Valo nodded his head.
"Hey! Did I just hear you say that the princess is wooing you and that she is annoying?"
A handsome man wearing lavish clothes walked out of the crowd. He was wearing something that looks like a military uniform.

"I'm not lying."
Rant Valo replied to the man.
"It's Zagard Loen! He's one of the Heiden Magic Kingdom's envoys. I heard that he took a liking to the princess when he first saw her."
A guest whispered from the side.
"Hey, you! Shut up!"
Zagard Leon obviously heard the guest's words as he admonished him.
"I-I'm sorry!"
The guest apologized fearfully before he disappeared through the crowd.
"Hmph."
Zagard Leon snorted in annoyance. He returned his attention back to Rant Valo.
"Do you dare fight with me!?"
Zagard Leon shouted towards Rant Valo in a challenge.
"Fight? What for?"
Rant Valo blinked his eyes repeatedly. This guy just suddenly appeared and challenged him.
"If you lose, you apologize to Princess Peiana and kowtow to her!"
Zagard Leon shouted in reply.
"Hey, hey, hey! Zagard! What are you doing? I was gone for a bit, and you're already looking for trouble?"
A man walked from the side and rebuked Zagard Leon with a frown.
He was a white-haired young man in his early twenties. He wore a white robe with him to match his hair color.
"Nale, don't butt into this! I'm annoyed by this guy!"
Zagard Leon replied to Nale fiercely.
"Hah? Idiot! We're the kingdom's envoys!"
Nale went over and smacked the back of Zagard Leon's head.
"What was that for?!"
Zagard Leon looked at him in anger.
"You and your troublemaker personality always give me a mess to clean up. This time, you're messing with the disciple of a Saintess."
Nale sighed as he replied to Zagard Leon.
"But he called the princess annoying!"
Zagard Leon replied in frustration.
"We're sorry about this sh*tshow that this guy made."
Nale bowed his head towards Rant Valo's group. He also pulled Zagard Leon's head down with him.

"I think it's fine since you already apologized."
Rant Valo replied to Nale with a smile.
"Thank you. I'm Magicus Inde. A special envoy of the Heiden Magic Kingdom."
Magicus Inde introduced himself to Rant Valo with a smile.
"My name is Rant Valo. I'm a villager."
Rant Valo also introduced himself.
"A villager?"
Magicus Inde raised an eyebrow after hearing Rant Valo's words.
"Yes. I'm just a humble villager. My beautiful and cute master here is the reason I'm even here."
Rant Valo nodded his head humbly. He gave all the credit to Floriana Sabina.
"Hohh… You're interesting, Rant Valo."
Magicus Inde smiled in amusement after hearing Rant Valo's words.
Meanwhile, Floriana Sabina's cheeks were flushed red.
'B-Beautiful!? A-And CUTE!?'
Floriana Sabina's mind short-circuited as she was overcome with a sense of satisfaction and happiness.
"Thank you."
Rant Valo nodded his head in appreciation.
"Would you like to be my friend?"
Magicus Inde asked him with a smile. He extended his hand for Rant Valo to shake.
"Sure!"
Rant Valo was genuinely surprised that someone offered to be his friend. He then took Magicus Inde's hand and shook it.
The moment Rant Valo shook Magicus Inde's hand, he felt a jolt of electricity.
"Y-Y-You!"
Magicus Inde looked at Rant Valo in disbelief. It was like he saw something incredulous.
"Why do I feel that you are so familiar?"
Rant Valo said to Magicus Inde with a wry smile.
"I've been looking for you!"
Magicus Inde jumped to Rant Valo and embraced him. It was like he was seeing his long-lost brother.
"W-Who are you?"
Rant Valo asked him in confusion. Magicus Inde feels like a relative that he used to live with long ago. Though, he can't put it into words.
"We can't talk here. Follow me!"
Magicus Inde said to Rant Valo. He then pulled his hand.
"W-Wait!"
Magicus Inde pulled Rant Valo away from Veia and Floriana Sabina.
"Master!"
"Disciple!"
Veia and Floriana Sabina followed after them. As for Zagard Leon, he followed them with a frown.
"What is it that you want to discuss?"
Rant Valo asked Magicus Inde. They were now in a faraway corner of the dining hall.
"Wait, I'll call my sister."
Magicus Inde said to Rant Valo. He then looked at him blankly.
After a few seconds, Magicus Inde returned to normal.
"Done. Just wait, she'll come in a bit."
Magicus Inde said to him with a smile. His actions confused Rant Valo. Was he supposed to call someone? After all, he just stood there. He never called anyone.

The Loyal Ones [Dark Biopunk Fantasy]
TLDR; A slave monster survives horror, war and servitude, while trying to live with himself. Thralls are a race of monstrous slave soldiers, in a universe where biological magic takes the place of technology. Centuries ago, their ancestors were desperate humans, who volunteered to be transformed for the Poison War. Today their unfortunate descendants are still soldiers and laborers. In contract law they are 'corporate wards'; slaves owned largely by arms dealers. Dally Harper starts this story as a champion cage fighter. He is one of the 'lucky' ones. It's all downhill from there. Content Warning: Explicit violence and gore, slavery, implied sexual assault. None of these are framed as positive or glorified, however they do have a strong impact on the plot and main characters.

Domain of Man
Isolation is terrible. To feel isolated with your fellow man around you is worse. What if you were dumped in some backwards cave somewhere, completely nude, maybe with your family, or even completely alone? The age of pioneers, heroes, generals, and geniuses is long gone. Artificial intelligence is within arms reach in devices and computers and even houses, and neural interfaces aren't exclusive to the rich and powerful at this point. Sure enough, they had gone above and beyond the requirements, but nobody had been watching. 'Why might that be?', that one wondered.
