In a way that Rant Valo never expected, the moose hit him. But that wasn't the end. Rant Valo was surprised to find that the moose was blocked in front of him. It couldn't move any further. It was like it was being held in place by something.

Rant Valo immediately turned his head to Floriana Sabina who was hiding behind a rock. He smiled at her.

"That's not me, Disciple."

Floriana Sabina smiled back in reply. She was not using her cultivation to stop that Rubble Moose from advancing.

"Huh?"

Rant Valo immediately looked in front of him in confusion. He observed the Rubble Moose that was struggling in front of him.

"What's going on?"

Rant Valo wondered to himself. He lowered his head and looked at the rocks that were on the Rubble Moose's antlers.

"Is my magic technique actually controlling the rocks in the Rubble Moose's antlers!?"

Rant Valo exclaimed in realization. If that were true, it would be so overpowered.

"That's amazing!"

Rant Valo was excited. This means that he can use this magic technique to cheat against Earth Element Spiritual Animals.

Seeing that the Rubble Moose was stuck in front of him as no matter how much it pulled back, it wasn't able to release itself. Rant Valo tried to use another magic technique.

Rant Valo closed his eyes to focus. This would be that first time that he would be using two magic techniques. It would not just be double the difficulty. It would be 10 times harder as executing two magic techniques side by side requires a lot of concentration.

Rant Valo looked at the mana that was flowing inside him. These mana are being used to power the Tortoise Fortune's Defense. He had to find a way to flow another set of mana to execute another magic technique without disturbing this flow. If he couldn't do that, the Rubble Moose would attack him.

Rant Valo spent a long time with his eyes closed. His mana reserves were slowly whittling down as the Rubble Moose started to struggle harder and harder.

"Double Execution: Flap of the Lucky Phoenix!"

Rant Valo shouted. He found a way to execute two magic techniques without interrupting each other!

A bundle of orange particles gathered in the air above Rant Valo. It slowly took the form of a Divine Phoenix.

The Divine Phoenix shrieked and dove down towards the Rubble Moose. The only thing the Rubble Moose could do was watch as the phoenix dove down before flapping back up and creating a huge slash of flame that hit it's neck.

The neck of the Rubble Moose was separated from its body. Not long after, its dead body dropped to the ground.

"Finally, it's dead."

Rant Valo released his magic techniques. That was the most stressed he had ever been all his life. He was basically at the mouth of death when that Rubble Moose was stuck in front of him.

"Congratulations, Disciple. You defeated a Late Foundation Establishment stage Rubble Moose."

Floriana Sabina left the rock and approached Rant Valo with a beaming smile on her face. She was proud that she was able to defeat the Spiritual Animal several levels above his cultivation stage.

"Master Floriana… I thought you abandoned me…"

Rant Valo struggled to talk as he breathed in air to recover his lost stamina.

"No way, Disciple. That was a good performance. I give you an A score."

Floriana Sabina shook her head with a smile. She was really proud that Rant Valo was able to win.

"What if I died?"

Rant Valo couldn't help but ask her. He was really fearing for his life back then. If he didn't need to use his magic technique to defend and attack the Rubble Moose, he would have been shouting towards her repeatedly.

After saying that, Veia went forward and hugged Rant Valo. She felt really scared. She even thought that she was gonna lose her master, but she still trusted Floriana Sabina as she knew that there's no way that she would let her master die.

Rant Valo returned her embrace tightly. He was really glad that she was here to comfort him.

"D-Disciple!"

Floriana Sabina panicked and realized that she did it wrong. She ran to Rant Valo's side and embraced him from behind.

"Uhh…"

Rant Valo smiled awkwardly when he felt her embrace him tightly from behind.

"Master Floriana?"

Rant Valo couldn't help but ask her what she was doing.

"Just let us hug you, Disciple."

Floriana Sabina replied to him with her face buried in his clothes.

Rant Valo thought about it and gave up thinking too much about it. He allowed them to embrace him for a few minutes before they let go.

"Master, you can sleep on Veia's lap."

Veia said to Rant Valo with a warm smile. It had been a while since Rant Valo last slept on her lap. She was eager to do it again.

"Disciple, you can sleep on my lap too!"

Floriana Sabina added from the side. She wants to try to let Rant Valo sleep on her lap.
