My Master Is A Tsundere Chapter 123

"That makes a lot of sense, Master Floriana."
Rant Valo was enlightened. This Immoral Cleansing Sect could then be considered one of the best Tier 5 Sects out there. After all, their Sect Master is already at the Peak Foundation Establishment stage.
"Mm. Sects like these are usually the ones who accept disciples from the masses. Once these disciples feel that their sect is holding them back, they would transfer to a Tier 4 Sect."
Floriana Sabina continued her explanation.
"I see. So there is a low chance of them to increase their tier then."
Rant Valo deduced. That's because if the talents that the sect groomed moved to a higher tier sect, they would stay there. They would not entertain the idea of going back to their old sect.
"Correct, but there are some who prefer to be a big fish in a small pond. So there are still some who return just so they can rule a sect."
Floriana Sabina agreed before explaining it more in detail.
This was Rant Valo's first time listening to this, and he couldn't help but be amazed that there was such a system that cultivators follow.
"Here are your orders."
The waiter suddenly interrupted. A waitress was following behind him as she pushed along a cart filled with dishes.
"Wow! Master, they all look so good!"
Veia exclaimed in amazement. She looked at the dishes with shining eyes.
Floriana Sabina scanned the dishes as they placed them on the table to see if they were gonna be served Spirit Fish.
"You don't serve Spirit Fish?"
Floriana Sabina couldn't help but ask after looking at the dishes for a while.
"Do you want one? Spirit Fish is one of our cheapest dishes."
The waiter asked, perplexed.

"Ah, no need. I was just curious."
Floriana Sabina shook her hand. There's no way she would want to eat Spirit Fish again after previously eating so many of them.
"Very well. If any of you have any more orders, just raise your hand, and we will arrive at your side."
The waiter informed them before he left. Rant Valo and the rest nodded their heads in understanding.
Rant Valo immediately turned his head towards the dishes. There were chicken, duck, fish, and even some weird dishes he had never seen before.
"Disciple, this restaurant is a hundred times better than that other one!"
Floriana Sabina said to Rant Valo with her eyes glowing. She inhaled a deep breath and took in the delicious smell of the dishes.
"Yeah."
Rant Valo agreed. He picked up the spoon and fork before he started eating.
Meanwhile, Veia looked at the empty plate in front of her and the dishes served around her. She wanted to eat them, but she will go crazy if she does. In the end, she just resorted to giving the dishes a staring contest.
An hour later, Rant Valo patted his full stomach. The plates on the table contained leftovers such as shells, bones, etc. Floriana Sabina relaxed on the chair as she still wallowed in the pleasure of eating those dishes.
Veia had obvious stains on her mouth. She gave each dish a try. She just couldn't help herself. They were all so mouthwatering to look at.
"Why don't we go?"
Floriana Sabina stood up. Rant Valo nodded his head and followed her. Veia noticed them stand up and also followed.
When they got to the streets, Floriana Sabina opened her mouth.
"Disciple, we are gonna eat in that restaurant while we stay in this town. I will not take no as an answer."

Floriana Sabina said without looking towards Rant Valo as she continued walking.
"Of course. That was the best meal I had in my life."
Rant Valo's eyes were still blurry as he remembered the taste of the dishes they just ate. The Spirit Fish and the Cream of Mushroom soup are incomparable to what they just ate.
He could guess that those dishes were naturally delicious, and they were complemented by the great skills of the restaurant's chefs. It was simply a perfect combination.
Shortly after, they found an inn to stay in for the night. It was Rant Valo's first time staying in one, so he kept looking around just like the country bumpkin he is.
"Master, is this your first time in an inn?"
Veia couldn't help but ask as she walked beside him.
"Yes. So these are all rooms, huh."
Rant Valo answered. They were walking in a hallway right now. There were doors on both sides, leading to rooms.
"This is our room, Disciple."
Floriana Sabina said from the front. She stopped in front of a door. She then unlocked the door and entered the room.
"Woah. That's a huge bed."
Rant Valo was flabbergasted. There were glowing stones embedded on the wall that illuminated a King-sized bed. Rant Valo, Floriana Sabina, and Veia could all fit in it without any problem.
"Wait, we're all sleeping on a single bed?"
Rant Valo blinked his eyes repeatedly as he looked at Floriana Sabina.
"Yes. Do you have a problem, Disciple?"
Floriana Sabina tilted her head cutely.
"No, but…"
Rant Valo glanced at Veia at the end of his words. He implied that it would be a bad idea for him to sleep on the same bed with Veia.
"Don't worry."
Floriana Sabina patted Rant Valo on his shoulder. She then glanced at Veia and gave her a wink.
Basically, Floriana Sabina set this up for Veia and Rant Valo to be able to sleep together. Veia smiled happily in understanding. This was Floriana Sabina's way of thanking Veia for convincing her back in the forest.
"Alright."
Floriana Sabina's words reassured Rant Valo. If Veia ever tries to assault him in his sleep, she would stop her. Or at least, that was what he understood from her pat on his shoulder.
"Disciple, are you gonna cultivate these seven days?"
Floriana Sabina asked him in curiosity.
"No. I feel like I'll immediately enter the Early Foundation Establishment stage if I do so."
Rant Valo smiled at her wryly. He wouldn't be able to participate in the sect tournament if he became a Foundation Establishment stage cultivator.

The Patchwork Realms
Athos is a good dog. He likes frisbee, bacon, and his family (SmolFriend, Mom, and Dad). He's not so keen on falling through an interdimensional portal to a fantasy world where floating boxes tell you that you've just been given status as the 'Supreme Exemplar' of your species, a powerful package of abilities that includes human-level intelligence. Sure, being smart is nice but less so when it comes with the need to survive in a land made from bits of different dimensions stitched together like patches in a quilt. A thousand species, a thousand lands, sorcery and super science rubbing elbows, wars and intrigue everywhere...it's exhausting for a good dog who just wants to go home! Note that this is a work in progress with lots of fiddly numbers so I will occasionally need to go back and fix errors, and this might affect events of earlier chapters. I'll try to keep this to a minimum and will post a note whenever it happens. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
