My Master Is A Tsundere Chapter 114

The moment Rant Valo shouted. A cloud of glittering red dust appeared on the horizon. It sparkled brightly in the night sky.
It was said that the Phoenix is a sign of good luck and rebirth, a mythological creature that exists in the sun.
Floriana Sabina and Veia's eyes were attracted by it, and they couldn't help but stare in amazement.
The cloud of red dust moved rapidly towards Floriana Sabina. It slowly turned into a flaming orange phoenix. The phoenix suddenly flapped its wings backward. The flap of its wings generated a flaming red burst of flame that attacked Floriana Sabina's erected barrier.
The red burst of flame hit the barrier and scattered fire onto the surroundings. It was a beautiful scene on this dark night.
CRACK
Floriana Sabina heard an audible crack, and she immediately looked down towards her barrier. Cobweb-like cracks were visible in the center. It was as if someone smashed a floor tile.
"!!?"
Floriana Sabina's calm face was immediately replaced with shock and bewilderment.
"Master, I didn't know you can wield the Fire Element!"
Veia exclaimed. It was her first time seeing her master ever use a Fire Element magic technique. The only magic techniques she saw him use were his odd magic techniques that seem to have no element in them.
"That was tiring."
Rant Valo let out a sigh. Although that magic technique was very powerful, it was also very taxing to his body. He has never felt this drained, even when he used his other magic techniques. At most, he could only use this magic technique three more times before he runs out of mana to use.
"Disciple, you make me so proud."
Floriana Sabina opened her mouth. She was genuinely surprised that Rant Valo's magic technique was able to crack her erected barrier.

"This was an Early Foundation Establishment stage barrier. It should have easily repelled your magic techniques, but this crack is proof that you are very powerful. Your diligence is admirable, Disciple."
Floriana Sabina added in explanation. Her cold face from earlier was nowhere to be seen. It was replaced by a happy gleam.
"Thank you, Master Floriana. I'll do my best to do better so you can be more proud of me."
Rant Valo bowed at her. If it weren't for her, he wouldn't even be able to realize that he was actually a talented cultivator. Everything he has now, he owes to her.
"M-Mm."
Floriana Sabina's face blushed after hearing Rant Valo's words. It was like he had seen through her intentions.
Veia held her chin in thought as she watched Floriana Sabina and her master. She was thinking of an effective way to tie them up together.
"Then, I'll continue cultivating."
Rant Valo bid her farewell before he entered back into the underground room. He was pretty excited to see how strong the other magic techniques would be. They should be powerful, that he was sure.
The night quickly passed, and morning came. This time Rant Valo took 8 hours to learn the 9th Magic Technique that was called 'The Lucky Dragon Breath'.
From the descriptions of the magic technique, it was capable of summoning the soul of an Azure Dragon that would temporarily take over the user's body. Then it would control the user to release a jet of blazing flame from the user's mouth.
Just reading this technique made Rant Valo feel a headache. It required him to cultivate in a weird position. One moment he would be hand standing; the other, he would be arching his back. Rant Valo's body was now all sore because of it.

They were now back outside, and Floriana Sabina stood in the same position without Rant Valo saying anything. She already erected a barrier in front of her with a flick of her fingers.
Rant Valo also didn't say much. He sat down on the ground cross-legged as he conditioned himself. He closed his eyes and double-checked everything inside his body. Once he was sure that he could execute this magic technique successfully, he opened his eyes and stood up.
"Master Floriana, be careful."
Rant Valo couldn't help but warn her in worry. He was sure that this magic technique would be stronger than the last one after he mastered it.
"Just do it, Disciple."
Floriana Sabina urged him. She was impatient as always.
Rant Valo took a deep, deep breath and released it. He closed his eyes and danced in front of her.
"Puh-!"
Veia couldn't hold back her laughter after seeing the weird moves her master is making. He was moving like a hip hop and a pop dancer at the same time while acting like a kung fu master every now and then.
Rant Valo suddenly halted and opened his eyes as he faced her before extending his right palm while pulling back his left palm.
"Lucky Dragon's Breath!"
Rant Valo shouted fiercely. A massive shadow of an Azure Dragon appeared behind it. It exuded a pressure that made Veia almost submit and bow to it. This was the power of a Divine Dragon.
The shadow of the Azure Dragon dove into Rant Valo's body. Rant Valo closed his eyes as a severe pain hit his body. When he opened his eyes again, it had turned to an eye of a dragon.
Rant Valo opened his mouth, and an orange-white hot jet of flame burst out. It hit Floriana Sabina's barrier and easily passed through it like butter.
"Eigh!"
Floriana Sabina covered her face with her small arm, and the dragon's breath was deflected away from her face to hit her body. Contrary to Rant Valo and Veia's expectations, neither her clothes nor her body was affected by it.
Floriana Sabina calmly watched as the dragon's breath slowly died down.
Once the magic technique was finished, Rant Valo stared at Floriana Sabina in shock. She just accepted his attack without even being affected by it in any way.
Rant Valo couldn't help but look around at the molten ground and Floriana Sabina's pristine appearance. It was such a great contrast between destruction and beauty.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.
