"This is already enough."

Rant Valo looked at the dozens and dozens of Brown Mushrooms on the ground. They had gathered all of them in one pile.

"Master, can you eat them raw?"

Veia asked Rant Valo in curiosity as she picked one up and looked at it carefully.

"You can, but there's a chance you would start itching."

Rant Valo knew this from experience. It happened to him when he decided to eat a Brown Mushroom raw one day. It was one of the worst experiences that he had.

"..."

Veia, who had already thrown the Brown Mushroom into her mouth, looked at Rant Valo stunned. Rant Valo realized what she did and also looked back at her in shock.

"Did you just..?"

"Bleurgh!"

Veia turned around and spat out the mushroom inside her mouth.

A few seconds later.

"Why didn't you tell me that sooner, Master?"

Veia asked Rant Valo with a pout. She was upset about it.

"I was trying to explain it to you, but you just ate it without waiting for me to finish."

Rant Valo replied to her with a dreary sigh.

"Master is stupid…"

Veia turned around and pouted exaggeratedly.

"Rant, can you really eat these mushrooms?"

Nale Narene asked Rant Valo with eyes filled with curiosity. It was his first time hearing that mushrooms could actually be eaten.

"Of course. I've eaten quite a lot of them."

Rant Valo nodded his head with a smile. He remembered the savory and delicious taste of the mushrooms he had.

"I see. But is this really the only ingredient?"

Nale Narene asked as he looked at the small pile of Brown Mushrooms.

"No. There are other ingredients that we need, so we would have to go back to the town to get them there."

Rant Valo shook his head and explained to him. If they want to make a Cream of Mushroom Soup, they would need to buy ingredients they currently don't have. For example, they don't have any milk cream, so they would have to buy that from a store.

"I understand. Do you want me to get them for you?"

Nale Narene offered to Rant Valo. Although he didn't like the idea of being an errand boy, he was not a noble and he could only adjust. It was his chance to at least make himself helpful to the group.

"You don't need to. Me and Master Floriana will go."

Rant Valo waved his hand at him. It would be better if he and Floriana Sabina go so they can buy more extra ingredients and put them inside the Storage Ring.

"Really? I can carry stuff for you."

Nale Narene seemed really desperate to be of help to Rant Valo. It was his first time being in such a group, and he couldn't help but become anxious.

"You can stay here and wait with Veia…. Ah, wait. Forget it. Let's just all go together."

Rant Valo thought of letting him, and Veia stay behind, so they all don't have to head back to the town, but when he remembered that Veia was very lustful, he decided otherwise. It would be a disaster if she somehow weren't able to hold herself back.

"Uh, okay?"

Nale Narene tilted his head in confusion. Things developed too fast for him to understand what's happening.

And so, Rant Valo's group walked in the blazing heat of the sun once more and returned to the town. Once inside, Rant Valo and Floriana Sabina moved ahead of them and bought some extra ingredients. This time, they used some of the mushrooms they brought with them as their currency.

To hide from Nale Narene that Floriana Sabina had a Storage Ring, Rant Valo, with the help of Veia's occasional distractions, made sure Nale Narene wasn't looking when they stored it inside the ring.

A few hours later, they were now back inside the forest, and Rant Valo uncovered the small pile of Brown Mushrooms that they hid on purpose just in case someone walks through this area.

"Are you cooking it now, Master?"

Veia asked from the side as she watched Rant Valo use a steel pot and light a fire on some chopped logs. Nale Narene was looking at the pot in confusion. He didn't see Rant Valo bringing that with him earlier. In the end, he thought it was just him not paying much attention.

"Yes. I'm also excited to taste it after so long."

Rant Valo nodded his head with an excited smile.

"Master, I'll watch you cook."

Veia informed Rant Valo as she stood from the side. Her eyes were entirely focused on Rant Valo's hands.

"Can you explain to me what you are doing, Master?"

Veia asked in curiosity. She wanted to learn this so she could cook for her master one day. She wants to be the best wife in the world in the future!

"First, we wait for the cooking pot to heat up."

Rant Valo said as he watched the cooking pot. He hovered his hand above the bottom of the pot and felt the temperature if it was hot enough.

A few minutes later, Rant Valo grabbed a stick of butter from the side and chopped it into pieces before putting it on the hot cooking pot.

"You melt some butter."

"Mm."

Veia nodded her head as she moved her face much closer to the pot. Her eyes were basically sparkling from amazement. Her master is just so knowledgeable of life skills that her admiration for him rises through the roof every day.

"Next, you add the garlic, but I have to chop them up first while the butter is still melting."

Rant Valo grabbed a flat wooden board from the side and started chopping some garlic on it. First, he smashed them and removed their hard skin before dicing.

"Then I add it into the pot."

Rant Valo pushed all of the garlic on the wooden board into the pot before mixing it. This time, a delicious and tempting aroma wafted into the air.

Rant Valo grabbed the mushrooms on the side and tore them into smaller pieces.

"Then, you add the mushrooms, but you have to chop them up or, in this case, tear them up to pieces so they will cook more evenly and easily."

Rant Valo explained as he picked up the wooden spoon and mixed the pot once more.
